Level 1-50 in 7 Hours on Shadowlands Alpha, Possible in 5

Recommended Posts

Well, it seems the trip to the 120 equivalent in Shadowlands is getting pretty short, as DesMephisto has shortened his previous best of 12 hours 16 minutes to 6 hours 55 minutes, and thinks it's doable in 5 with a few more buffs he missed. This time around he improved his route a little bit, but more importantly used the 30% War Mode buff as well as 30% from heirlooms (and was even missing the pants and rings due to to time constraints), and there was no9 10% XP potion either.

Here are some comments from the man himself:

Quote

I think 5 hours is doable for speedrunning with consumables, full exp, etc. I'm a bit worried about how fast it is to level. 8-9 hours with heirlooms feels about right to me - maybe - as in for myself specifically.
...
With the exp buffs I did 99% of Tirgarde and like 35% of Drustvar and 2 war campaign quests.
...
This is approximately around the 100% exp buff we currently have on retail now, it likely will only change by 10-30% in exp gains is my guess. 1-50 is the new 1-110 which is approximately 10ish hours with 110-120 taking about 3hours. FOR myself, but we're not talking about me we're talking about casual players, so I def think 16 hours will easily be doable for everyone.

It seems very likely these number will be further tuned, as DesMephisto mentions, but it remains to be seen how fast Blizzard actually want people to level. The current XP buff is a very specific thing related to the circumstances at play now, and Shadowlands leveling might not be intended to be quite this fast, as 1.3 zones worth of old content doesn't seem right.  As it's the first implementation of the Alpha the number might just be very rough estimates and personally I'd say they're definitely going to go up, but we'll see.

s that correct? I mean wasn't it 10% now?

I think it depends of your shard and the number of player of the same faction with the WM on  , alliance is often at 15% or 30% and i never saw the horde one change.

Yes thats true, i checked his stream and he even said 10% bonus. Also i thought the factionbonusdifference was only for worldquests and not for experiencegain. Good to know, but i still only have one alliancecharacter to see storystuff and so on.

I wonder if that's enough time to get to experience the whole expansion you choose to level through, even with out heirlooms and warmode this dude got done in a zone and 1/3 that would be like hitting cap halfway through zangarmarsh or valley of the four winds. as fun as it sounds leveling in 5 hours they really gotta fix that and make sure you end at least halfway through last zone of expansion.

Oh please for god's sake, don't pamper the alliance again with 30% buff. They are not going to participate in fare WM even if you give them 100% buff, they'll just turn off WM for the entire week after getting their free gear.

I know I'm probably going to regret not taking advantage of these buffs but been working on a few Tanking alts of mine through keystones; Protection Paladin, Guardian Druid, and Blood Death Knight.

Also trying to get cloaks upgrade to 10-15 on the Fury Warrior, Beastmaster Hunter, and Mistweaver Monk.

Other 120's collecting dust atm....Assassination Rogue, Shadow Priest, Demonology Warlock, Elemental Shaman, and Frost Mage.

All my Alliance lowbies that I'm just currently not interested in playing or leveling since the start of this expansion that are currently stuck at Lv.20 or less.

The visually captivating trail left by Ashes of Al'ar when flying is missing when using the mount with Dragonriding!
Normally, Ashes of Al'ar creates a fiery trail with glowing lines that radiate from its wings, forming an elegant pattern in the air, which adds to the mount's charm and uniqueness.
With dragonriding support coming to nearly all mounts in the War Within pre-patch, players have noticed that this striking visual effect is absent.
Reddit user Ulfinator created a comparison of the mount's animations during normal flying and dragonriding.

Do you think Blizzard should add the trail? Let us know in the comments!

      Dragonflight
      When: June 21–July 5
Where: Major Horde and Alliance Cities
      Currency: Burning Blossom
"A time of merriment and celebration, dedicated to the hottest season of the year."
      Activities Achievements Holiday Items Activities
      Holiday Event Boss
Use the Group Finder (I) to participate in an encounter against Ahune, granting a Satchel of Chilled Goods (which contains holiday loot) as a daily reward. This is available to characters level 10 and above. Updated Loot System
We’re changing the way the loot system for the holiday boss drops work. We have increased drop rates significantly for the first boss kill on a single account. Only the first attempt on a single Battle.net account will be eligible to receive the item drop, however. For each subsequent daily attempt on the boss with a single Battle.net account, the chance for the item to drop will increase and continues to accumulate for each failed attempt. This change will allow players to spend less time working to earn a specific dropped item while providing an increasing opportunity to get that item during the holiday.
      Daily Quests
Complete special daily quests to obtain experience, gold, and Burning Blossoms to purchase holiday items. For detailed information about the quests, check out the Midsummer Fire Festival guide on Wowhead.

      Midsummer Fire Festival
Across Azeroth and beyond, brilliant bonfires have been lit to rekindle peoples’ spirits and ward off ancient evils. Each year, new guardians are chosen to watch over the sacred flames and ensure that they are never extinguished.
Called "Flame Keepers" or "Flame Wardens," these chosen few request the aid of brave adventurers to traverse the land and journey into the dark recesses of Azeroth's dungeons. It is rumored that any heroes who are willing to brave the terrors placed before them will be rewarded for their efforts through the power of the flames.
      Activities
The festivities have begun as the citizens of Azeroth celebrate the hottest of seasons by playing with fire all across their worlds!  Stop by a capital city to begin the event’s main quests. While in each of the capital cities, be on the lookout for enemy players; stealing the flames from capital city bonfires. Through your participation in festival quests, you'll collect Burning Blossoms, a special holiday currency you’ll spend to purchase various items and pets available from Midsummer suppliers and merchants.
Burning Blossoms–By Fire Be Blessed: Complete quests to earn Burning Blossoms then throw them into the bonfires to receive the buff, "Fire Festival of Fury" which increases melee/spell critical chance by 3% for 1 hour.
