What are Anomaly Commissions?

Having joined "the Bureau", you will be chasing down anomalies that range from cutesy little animals, to surreal almost horror-like ones, evoking a very SCP-esque feeling. From whimsical pop-culture references, to downright scary horror sections that are reminiscent of games like Resident Evil, these offer a nice change of pace to the regular gameplay experience. You may accidentally stumble upon a few of these Anomalies as you explore Hethereau, while others are much more tricky to find or deal with.

Not all Anomalies are nice and cute...

Many of these are one-time missions, although some of the boss-fights also have a hard-mode version available, and can even be re-started if you want to re-do the fight to practice it some more, or want to try out a new character or team against a much tougher opponent. Bosses or regular enemies that are part of Anomaly Commissions also tend to scale to your level, so you can save them for later if you want, or engage with them early into your journey.

Rewards

Other than experiencing the story of each of the Anomalies, engaging with Puzzles, and learning more about the World of Neverness to Everness itself, Anomaly Commissions also provide very lucrative one-time rewards. All Anomalies grant varying amounts of Fons and upgrade materials, with unique rewards belonging to the most challenging of Anomalies.

Every single standard S-Rank Arc weapon can be acquired once through an Anomaly commission! This means that you will be able to deck out your team with powerful weapons very early on, without having to spend a single Tri-Key on pulling for them.

How to Find Anomalies

Finding an Anomaly is as simple as opening up the Anomaly Commissions UI from the World Map, and opening the file of one of the Anomalies. You will receive some additional information on it, and will also be granted a rough estimate on where to encounter it. Once you've traveled to the location, you may spend a bit of time trying to find the starting location for it, but many of then are quite the sight to behold!
