General Information

On this page, you will find tips, tricks, and strategies tailored to your Augmentation Evoker for each boss of the following raid: Amirdrassil. All our content is updated for World of Warcraft — Season 4.

1.

Introduction

Below, you can find class and spec-specific advice for every fight in Amirdrassil. If you are looking for a general overview of the Raid that is not spec-specific, check out our dedicated Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope guides.

On this page, you will find Augmentation Evoker specific information to deal with each boss in the Amirdrassil raid. These are not complete encounter guides but rather provide specific tips for doing the bosses as a Augmentation Evoker.

This page assumes that you already understand most of the mechanics of each encounter. These can be found on the full raid guide, so what is contained here are details specifically tailored toward Augmentation Evoker and what you can do to deal with each fight as best as possible.

This page will be updated to contain some more detailed advice on which classes are good to buff for each fight after we have the bosses on live. The single target priority still will loosely apply even in the fights with adds, so if you wish to follow that always, you can without too much DPS loss. I would like to reiterate that optimizing buff targets on a fight-by-fight basis is not required to play Augmentation. While there are significant damage gains associated with doing so, it is not necessary to still perform well or enjoy the class. Finally, how well the player you are buffing plays their class, as well as their gear, can impact the value of the buffs by more than their class.

We suggest reading the dedicated page where this is discussed, along with general target recommendations for your buffs that are linked below:

Tips

  • This boss is mostly a single target encounter that spawns small adds that boost the damage of classes that can kill them for free. We recommend following Single Target Buff Priority on this fight with a slight preference for classes with free innate cleave like Havoc Demon Hunter or people.
  • This boss periodically gains the debuff Uprooted Agony Icon Uprooted Agony which is a 100% damage vulnerability window. Depending on the timings for your group, you may want to hold Breath of Eons Icon Breath of Eons for this window if DPS in your group are.
  • Make sure you have hover charges available for Controlled Burn Icon Controlled Burn so you can quickly get out and burn the dormant Tainted Lashers and Tainted Treants with without losing damage.

For more information, please refer to our Gnarlroot guide.

Tips

  • This boss is a standard Single Target Encounter. We recommend following Single Target Buff Priority on this fight.
  • Make sure to have Obsidian Scales Icon Obsidian Scales or Renewing Blaze Icon Renewing Blaze for the intermissions.
  • If you are targeted with Blistering Spear Icon Blistering Spear, use a defensive.

5.2.

Tips

  • This boss is a standard Single Target Encounter with a twist; the raid is split into two groups. We recommend following Single Target Buff Priority on this fight as best as you can with the split raids.
  • We suggest using Hover Icon Hover to dodge the lava waves more comfortably without losing damage, as well as during Flood of the Firelands Icon Flood of the Firelands's knockback.
  • Try to have Zephyr Icon Zephyr or a charge of Obsidian Scales Icon Obsidian Scales for Flood of the Firelands Icon Flood of the Firelands as this does a large amount of damage. Additionally, on Mythic use defensives to help soak Coiling Eruption Icon Coiling Eruption.

For more information, please refer to our Volcoross guide.

Council of Dreams

Talents/Build

For this boss, we suggest swapping Echoing Strike Icon Echoing Strike for Pupil of Alexstrasza Icon Pupil of Alexstrasza.

BEcBAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAQikWkkQIJpkESSSDAAAAAEAAkEAISISSCAAAASk0ikkIJQ0SA

6.2.

Tips

  • This fight is a two-target stacked cleave encounter with a third target that will not be stacked. On this fight we suggest following the standard Single Target buff priority but favoring classes with free cleave, especially for unstacked targets. Notably, Balance Druids, Shadow Priests and Elemental Shamans perform incredibly well on this fight.
  • The main mechanic on this fight is Polymorph Icon Polymorph. When you have Polymorph Icon Polymorph, you have 99% reduced nature damage taken, so you can safely pick up Noxious Blossom Icon Noxious Blossom's. After picking up enough Blossoms, you can use Preen Icon Preen to leave the polymorph state. Leaving the Polymorph state will CC anything near you, so make sure to move out of the raid or move to Urctos, if he is casting Blind Rage Icon Blind Rage which will interrupt him.

7.2.

Tips

  • This boss is mostly a single target encounter that spawns small adds that boost the damage of classes that can kill them for free. We recommend following Single Target Buff Priority on this fight with a slight preference for classes with free innate cleave like Subtlety Rogue when adds are up.
  • Make sure to use a defensive ability for Raging Inferno Icon Raging Inferno.
8.

Nymue, Weaver of the Cycle

8.1.

Talents/Build

For this boss, I suggest you use the default build at the top of this page. The import string is linked again below for convenience.

BEcBAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAQikWkkQIJplESSSDAAAAAEAAkEAISISSCAAAASk0ikkIJQ0SA

8.2.

Tips

  • This boss is a standard Single Target Encounter with group splits in the intermissions to deal with single target adds. We recommend following the Single Target Buff Priority on this fight.
  • Try to avoid getting hit by Impending Loom Icon Impending Loom, as this will stun you. It is always better to fill with Azure Strike Icon Azure Strike rather than being stunned if you do not have Hover Icon Hover available to use better spells.
  • Use defensives while soaking the small circles throughout the room. Renewing Blaze Icon Renewing Blaze is very strong with its low cooldown, make sure to use it liberally.
9.

Smolderon

9.1.

Talents/Build

For this boss, I suggest you use the default build at the top of this page. The import string is linked again below for convenience.

9.2.

Tips

  • This boss is a standard Single Target Encounter. We recommend following Single Target Buff Priority on this fight. As there is a large damage amplifier in this fight when he transitions into phase two with Devour Essence Icon Devour Essence it might be worth holding Cooldowns if they come up shortly before this transition if other DPS players are holding their cooldowns. Subtlety Rogues and Arcane Mages are notable on this fight because their CDs line up with each damage amplification phase making them very good targets during those points.
  • We recommend using Hover Icon Hover to deal with Overheated Icon Overheated. It will let you keep casting while moving out of the raid and still be up to dodge the Flame Waves Icon Flame Waves that spawn when the debuffs expire.
  • Make sure to have a defensive for Brand of Damnation Icon Brand of Damnation. On Mythic , renewing blaze will help heal off the absorb, and it can be good to use it with another defensive. After soaking, spread out so that you do not cleave anyone when the Cauterizing Wound Icon Cauterizing Wound is finally healed.
  • When the boss reaches 100 energy he will cast Devour Essence Icon Devour Essence which removes the Emberscar's Mark Icon Emberscar's Mark debuffs from everyone and spawns Living Flame Icon Living Flame orbs that are personal to you. It is incredibly important that you soak these orbs, as failing to do so grants the boss a damage increase buff. Additionally, soaking these gives you a damage increase buff.

Tindral Sageswift, Seer of the Flame

10.1.

Talents/Build

For this boss, we suggest swapping Echoing Strike Icon Echoing Strike for Pupil of Alexstrasza Icon Pupil of Alexstrasza.

BEcBAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAQikWkkQIJpkESSSDAAAAAEAAkEAISISSCAAAASk0ikkIJQ0SA

10.2.

Tips

  • This boss is mainly a standard Single Target Encounter with some AOE for breaking roots. We recommend following Single Target Buff Priority. On Mythic it is good to know when your Melee DPS are assigned to fly up, as you do not want to buff them while they are flying because they will not be doing damage.
  • Make sure to stack for the Mass Entanglement Icon Mass Entanglement cast so the roots are easily destroyable.
  • If you get the Fiery Growth Icon Fiery Growth debuff, we suggest using Hover Icon Hover and moving to the edge of the boss arena until you get dispelled, then moving back in.

For more information, please refer to our Tindral guide.

11.

Fyrakk the Blazing

11.1.

Talents/Build

For this boss, we suggest swapping Echoing Strike Icon Echoing Strike for Pupil of Alexstrasza Icon Pupil of Alexstrasza.

BEcBAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAQikWkkQIJpkESSSDAAAAAEAAkEAISISSCAAAASk0ikkIJQ0SA

11.2.

Tips

  • Phase 1: Fyrakk starts out as a single target encounter, so we suggest following standard buff targeting priority on pull.
  • Phase 2: Fyrakk spawns two large adds that need to be cleaved down and a lot of small adds. During this phase, specialisations that have high aoe burst gain a lot of value due to the two sets of Souls adds that spawn after each Goliath, and it is recommended you buff the best AoE Blasters in your raid at these points. For example: Subtlety Rogue, Demonology Warlock and Havoc Demon Hunter usually deals significant damage to these adds. Classes with very high burst like Assassination Rogues or specialisations with good Single Target like Beast Mastery hunters remain powerful and good buff targets during their cooldowns throughout this phase as they will often press their CDs when the adds are not up letting you benefit from buffing the AOE specialisations as well as the ST ones in your raid.
  • During Phase 2, small adds spawn that need to be interrupted. As an Evoker, you have access to Wing Buffet Icon Wing Buffet, which will knock them back. Use this to help stack up the adds and cancel their casts.
  • Phase 3: This is a single target execute burn often with bloodlust. We suggest following the regular single target priority but prioritizing Execute Classes between the cooldowns (Warriors, Shadow Priests).

For more information, please refer to our Fyrakk guide.
