Saviors of Uldum Rogue Quest Reveal: Bazaar Burglary

The Legendary Quest for Rogue in Saviors of Uldum has been revealed - and it's good news for Burgle fans.

The final community card reveal for Saviors of Uldum has arrived. As predicted, it's the Legendary Quest card for Rogue: Bazaar Burglary!

Bazaar Burglary2bc8796210e74a0215b75b71dfd040f60dfb63b2

It's a natural fit in Rogue decks built around Vendetta, although you'll need more Burgle activators than just Blink Fox and Hench-Clan Burglar to complete this Quest consistently. The new Bazaar Mugger will help increase your tally of Burgle cards, but beyond that you're looking at some questionable options. (Pilfer, anyone?)

This marks the last of the scheduled community reveals listed on playhearthstone.com. All of the remaining Saviors of Uldum cards should be shown during tomorrow's big reveal stream (or posted to Facebook afterwards). There are still 48 unrevealed cards left to see at our count, so be sure to tune in!

Saviors of Uldum releases worldwide on August 6th. Check out our expansion hub for more info on the new expansion, plus every card revealed so far.

I'm curious about the implementation details. I assume that Academic Espionage does not work and you really have to add the cards directly to your hand, not draw them? Would Shadowstep on a minion we got from Bazaar Mugger count or not?

The appealing options aren't that many. Pilfer isn't that bad, at least it is cheap to play, but heavily random. Stolen Steel is kind of counterproductive when your goal is to get a hero power which creates an excellent weapon for just 2 mana. So we might see Pick Pocket being played finally, although it will be a problem in Rogue vs Rogue games.

Unless there will be one more card to support this deck in the final flow of reveals, this quest looks harder to complete than Paladin, Priest and Shaman quests.

The result is also on an entire different level. Pre-nerf Fiery War Axe was always considered one of the best weapons ever, you get an infinite amount of them that allow you to smash freely into anything on top of it because you're immune. The only other quest to come close to that is Priest.

Yes, but... It was considered a top Weapon because you could get it on turn 2, clear 2 early minions with a single card and gain control of the board that way. Here we are talking about a weapon which will take you a much longer time to acquire, and when you finally get it, dealing 3 damage to a minion is definitely no longer going to kill it anymore. So the comparison doesn't hold in my opinion, the purpose is completely different.

But don't get me wrong, the card looks great, I'll be very happy if I get it.

Unless there is something which gives rogue weapons poisonous, lifesteal or an attack upgrade other than Deadly PoisonCaptain Greenskin, reward for this quest is underwhelming. Keep in mind that, in a deck completely devoted to burgle mechanic, Spectral Cutlass gets all the weapon buffs because of lifesteal.

Overall, not impressed.

Having played this deck a lot...

Pilfer and Hench-Clan Burglar are the top tier cards since they can't give you Rogue cards that you don't wanna get in mirrors.

Pilfer is best at turn 1 since rogue has no 1 cost cards until this expansion hit and bring the 1 cost minion that will replace that play making Pilfer a Combo activator for EVIL Miscreant or Gadgetzan Auctioneer fodder.

Hench Clan is the pinnacle of of the deck at turn 4 he activates Vendetta without fail unlike Blink Fox in mirror.

Blink Fox is quite mediocre and I've cut that from the deck since in mirror is just a 3/3 BC: give me a useless card or if i'm lucky one of the few playable cards rogue has. If it was a 1/1/1 Swashburglar I wouldn't mind but spend 3 mana to get stuff like Preparation really hurts.

Pick Pocket is unplayable and is much worse than Face Collector that has a 2/2 body.

Witch's Cauldron is very reliable as long you have lackey fodder but require good timing with the lackeys especially with the one that gives rush that instantly yield 1 card.

Any card that give random cards is also decent Violet Haze Ravencaller Weaponized Pinata giving all somewhat decent cards if anything else.

Unidentified Contract also give guaranteed class cards in one of its forms since you get a copy of what you kill with it you target a class minion and copy that... Grave Horror from a a conjurer mage.

The problem with the quest is that the weapon is a mere 3/2 immune in a deck with X/X Spectral Cutlass lifesteal,

It's only good when you don't draw the cutlass but is nowhere close to cutlass since it has infinite durability and 2-4-6 or more atk since you can get multiple Deadly Poison from lackeys +2 of the deck. And cutlass usually goes face to heal yourself if you aren't in dire need of removals... Cutlass face dmg is usually the wincon of the deck if they remove the cutlass and you don't find the other one you are gonna lose otherwise you gonna win since you can't fatigue and you keep atking their face with the fuel provided by  Academic Espionage.

Anyway is worth include in the deck since is probably the easiest quest to complete considering that another Pilfer minion has been revealed you have 6 guaranteed cards that give other class cards and the hero power can save you until you draw the cutlass instead of taking face dmg every turn.

I could easily see a one-of copy of Pick Pocket being added to decks for this, just to complete the quest in the later stages of the game if needed.  But just one, due to the "opponent's class" limitation.

The card in question is Clever Disguise, which appears to make this quest fairly viable. In the reveal stream them had the quest enabled and the upgraded weapon equipped by turn 4.
