Gadgetzan Auctioneer is a neutral minion. Below the card images, you will find explanations to help you use the card optimally in every game mode of Hearthstone.

1.

General Comments

Gadgetzan Auctioneer provides a powerful effect, and is always a consideration in decks that contain lots of cheap spells. Rogue, which contains Backstab and Eviscerate, as well as minions that create cheap spells, such as Xaril, Poisoned Mind and Razorpetal Lasher, is a natural home for the Auctioneer.

2.

Constructed Play

As well as being a staple in Miracle Rogue decks, Gadgetzan Auctioneer also has a strong interaction with the Druid spell Jade Idol. With this spell, you can shuffle three more copies into your deck, and then draw them all if an Auctioneer is in play.

3.

Arena

Gadgetzan Auctioneer is quite a weak pick in Arena. It originally cost 5 Mana and was still a poor card. Despite a slight uptick in the number of cheap spells in recent expansions, it is too slow to have a worthwhile impact.
