Best Maps for Mercy

1.1.

Mercy on Numbani

Numbani is a fairly open map, which means Mercy can fly to different allies and assist her team no matter where they are positioned. On offense and defense, teammates are prone to using the buildings of Numbani to split from one another and attempt to take the enemy by surprise. Due to Mercy's mobility, she can help her team take different fights on different fronts, something that cannot be said for other healers. Additionally, the streets of Numbani allow Mercy to take on enemies like Zenyatta or Widowmaker when using Valkyrie Icon Valkyrie.

1.2.

Mercy on Watchpoint: Gibraltar

Watchpoint is by far the biggest map in Overwatch, which is why a healer with high mobility is so helpful. Depending on the part of the map the payload is traveling through, the design offers heroes three separate stories to play on. When allies choose to split from one another, they still need consistent healing, which is why Mercy's Guardian Angel Icon Guardian Angel is so helpful. Additionally, Watchpoint: Girbraltar lends itself to a lot of duels and skirmishes where allies can die off by themselves. However, thanks to Mercy's Resurrect Icon Resurrect, losing an ally in the heat of battle can be remedied depending on their resting place.

2.

Worst Map for Mercy

2.1.

Mercy on Volskaya Industries

Mercy is beneficial on all maps, but Volskaya Industries can be lackluster for Mercy mains. Although the playing field is a pretty standard size for an assault map, the capture points can feel tight. Despite the fact that the capture points are small in size, many players participate in skirmishes rather than full-blown team fights. This can lead players to focus on their own fighting rather than protecting their healers, which is why attack heroes can often use an alternate path to attack Mercy from behind while her team is dealing with threats from head-on. Additionally, the map may be small, but unlike Temple of Anubis, the capture points are fairly open. If a teammate goes down on the point, Mercy will have a hard time staying alive long enough for a Resurrect Icon Resurrect if an ally tank is not babysitting her. When taking all of these points into account, it can be argued that Volskaya Industries is the worst map for Mercy players.
