Can you play Forever and Retail WoW At The Same Time?

No, like the limitation with Classic WoW, only one account can be logged in via Battle.net, you can only play one game mode at a time with the same Battle.net account.

One way to do so is adding a new Battle.net license on your account. You can hold up to eight WoW accounts in the same Battle.net license. The downside of doing this is that each separate Battle.net account needs to have an active subscription to be played.

Same deal applies here - only one of you can be logged in at the same time. You can, again, use separate accounts within the same Battle.net license.

How to Install and Launch Forever

To install Forever, you need to download the Battle.net Client. Once the client is downloaded, open it, log in your Battle.net account, and check the Forever entry in the version dropdown section. Once selected, press the Install button, and the client does the rest.

Forever will have higher minimum system requirements than what is required for Classic, with similar requirements to WoW: Midnight.

Is There a WoW Token in Forever?

As of the announcements at BlizzCon 2026, a WoW Token was not shown to be a thing in Forever.

No, like other Classic WoW game modes, Forever does not have a free trial or starter edition.

You can create up to 10 characters per realm, and a total of 50 characters across one Battle.net license. An additional restriction only for the PvP gameplay realm - You can only create characters of the same faction in it.

No, character transfers do not exist in Forever. The exception to this rule applies to characters on the Hardcore realm ruleset -- dying in Hardcore gives you the option to transfer a character to any of the other three realm rulesets (PvP, PvE or RP).

You will not be able to log into your Forever account until you renew your subscription. Your characters are preserved and will be waiting for you once you renew it.
