Shadowfang Keep Dungeon Entrance and Basics
Shadowfang Keep is a dungeon in WoW Forever, tuned for level 20-30 players. The dungeon is located in Silverpine Forest, going up a ramp in the area of the same name near the Greymane Wall to the South. Although it is relatively easy for Horde players to get there, Alliance players will have a significantly harder time, requiring a boat ride from Menethil Harbor to Southshore, and a long walk to the Horde zone.
Shadowfang Keep Dungeon Quests
There are six quests players can pick up for Shadowfang Keep. Out of these quests, three of them are limited to specific classes, and the other three are Horde-exclusive. Check them out in our dedicated guide!

Shadowfang Keep Boss Strategy
Shadowfang Keep has ten bosses, including a rare spawn.
| Rethilgore
Rethilgore is the first boss in Shadowfang Keep and a pretty easy encounter. Down in the jail area, the only ability of worry is his Soul Drain, that drains health from the tank but can be interrupted. As Rethilgore is found in a close quarters area, clean up any worgen on the floor above him to prevent aggro during the encounter. |
|
| Fel Steed and Shadow Charger
These are three horses that can be encountered in the Stables area. Initially neutral, attacking one will aggro all three horses. They can pack quite a punch together on the tank, but can be CC'd, so either off-tanking or CCing a horse will help. |
|
| Razorclaw the Butcher
Razorclaw is another encounter in a close quarters area, so be careful to not pull him alongside other patrols. His only ability of note is a Butcher Drain that needs to be healed through. |
|
| Baron Silverlaine
Baron Silverlaine is another very straightforward fight. Besides his Veil of Shadow curse, he's another tank and spank. Veil of Shadow needs attention, though, as it reduces all healing done to the target by 75%. If you have access to a decurse ability, you should use it to dispel the curse, otherwise be ready to heal a bit more for the duration of the curse. |
|
| Commander Springvale
Perhaps the hardest part of the Commander Springvale encounter is the pull, as he is in the corner of yet another close-quarters room filled with adds. Try to clear the room as much as you can before engaging with the boss (who's on the left side of the room). Springvale himself always pulls with one Haunted Servitor and one Wailing Guardsman. The Guardsman should be the first one to die, as he has a nasty AOE silence that can easily lead into a wipe if the healer is caught. If you have the option, have an off-tank keep him away from the group. Besides that, Springvale can heal himself with Holy Light, so interrupt that if able. |
|
| Odo the Blindwatcher
The theme of Shadowfang Keep really is small, close quarters rooms, as Odo is inside yet another one. Odo pulls with two Vile Bats that can Disarm and Cleave, so the tank must keep those turned away from the group, and the group must be aware of the lowered threat generation. Any CCs work on the bats, so thats another option to deal with them. |
|
| Deathsworn Captain
The Deathsworn Captain is a rare mob that can sometimes spawn on the corridor after Odo the Blindwatcher. He does not have any abilities of note, but he does pull with two Paladin adds from the area he is in, so keep threat on all mobs and DPS should kill them as soon as possible. |
|
| Fenrus the Devourer
The giant wolf is a pretty easy fight, as all he does is a Toxic Saliva that deals extra damage to the tank. The biggest challenge is the four Voidwalkers summoned by Fenrus when he reachs 50% health. They remain alive even after Fenrus dies, so the tank must be quick to get threat on all of them. |
|
| Wolf Master Nandos
The Wolf Master is in a room with several worgs, which can and should be pulled separately from the boss. The only ability of note for Nandos is summoning more worgs as the fight progresses. The summoned worgs are non-elite and have fairly low HP, so DPS should focus on killing these ASAP, and the tank needs to be ready to pick them up. |
|
| Archmage Arugal
Archmage Arugal is the final boss of Shadowfang Keep and no joke to deal with. His main ability is a Void Bolt cast on the tank. You can use the walls and corners of the room to line of sight the Void Bolt casts and force Arugal to run to you. Arugal will also teleport around the room with Shadow Port. This teleport makes the fight annoying for melee, and also lowers the threat your tank has on him, so be careful to not steal aggro while he's teleporting. Otherwise, keeping LOSing him and he should die fairly quickly. |
