Learn more about the Deadmines, a Level 17-26 dungeon in WoW Forever. How to enter the dungeon, loot you can earn from it, and boss strategies.

1.

Deadmines Dungeon Entrance and Basics

Deadmines is a dungeon in WoW Forever, tuned for level 17-26 players. The dungeon is located in Westfall, hidden inside a house in Moonbrook on the southern end of the zone. Although it is relatively easy for Alliance players to get there, Horde players will have a significantly harder time, requiring a boat ride from Ratchet in the Barrens.

Deadmines Dungeon Quests

There are seven quests players can pick up for Deadmines. Out of these seven quests, all of them are Horde-only. It is NOT recommended to run this dungeon as Horde. Check them out in our dedicated guide!

Deadmines Boss Strategy

Deadmines has eight bosses, including a rare spawn.

Rhahk'Zor
Rhahk'Zor shares his room with two Defias Watchmen. These can (and should) be pulled separately from the boss, just hit them with a ranged attack and LOS them on the corridor you came out from. Rhahk'Zor himself is an easy tank and spank fight, with his only notable ability being a stun on his main target. The group healer should watch out for that and be ready to pump a little more on heals when it happens.
Miner Johnson
Miner Johnson is a rare spawn that does not always show up. The only difficult part about this encounter is that he is surrounded by Defias Miners, but as these are normal mobs, it is pretty easy to kill them. Miner Johnson is basically just another Defias Miner with a slightly higher health pool.
Sneed's Shredder and Sneed
Sneed and his shredder are one of the more complicated fights in the Deadmines. Sneed starts the fight mounted on his shredder. As the Shredder has an AOE fear ability, it is recommended to clear as many goblins in the room as you can before engaging the boss himself. Once the shredder dies, Sneed will jump out of it. Tanks should be wary of his Disarm ability, as it can hinder their ability to safeguard threat. Besides that, he is another simple tank and spank fight.
Gilnid
Gilnid is another relatively simple fight. He will pull together with a Goblin Engineer. If possible, CC the goblin add to prevent him from summoning robot adds. If that happens, focus on killing the goblin add, as his creations will die with him. As for Gilnid, his only ability is a fire debuff that will make it a bit harder for your tank to generate threat.
Mr. Smite
Mr. Smite may seem alone, but he pulls alongside two Defias Blackguards. As Mr. Smite uses an AOE stun on everyone in the group at 66% and 33% health, it is recommended to kill the guards as soon as possible. Mr. Smite gains new abilities as he stuns everyone (as he uses the stun to change weapons), but the only ability worth keeping an eye on is the Smite Slam he gains at the 33% stun, as it can take a good chunk of health from your tank.
Captain Greenskin
The Goblin captain patrols the upper deck of the Defias ship, and pulling him is perhaps the hardest part of his encounter. He patrols alongside a Defias Pirate and Defias Squallshaper. The Squallshaper should be the priority target, as he has less health and an annoying Frost Nova ability. Besides that, Captain Greenskin has a Cleave, so melee must be wary and stay behind him at all times.
Edwin VanCleef
The leader of the Defias Brotherhood is not alone - Pulling him from his cabin will also pull two hidden Defias Blackguard. These adds should die first, as when coupled with Van Cleef's Thrash attacks, he can easily chunk your tank. Keep an eye on his health, as Van Cleef summons two additional Blackguards at 50% health. Just kill them again while keeping your tank alive!
Cookie
Cookie is usually the last mob to be pulled in the instance, as he is on the backside of the Defias ship. Cookie is a fairly easy fight as long as you kite him away from the ship and interrupt his Cookie's Cooking ability, as it heals him.
