Blackfathom Deeps Boss Strategy
Blackfathom Deeps has seven bosses.
| Ghamoo-ra
Ghamoo-ra is the first boss in Blackfathom Deeps, located at the center of an island on the second large body of water. This fight is largely a tank and spank, with its only ability of note being a Trample that deals AOE damage around him, so stay away from melee if you are not required to be close to the boss. Besides that, Ghamoo-ra has high armor, so abilities that reduce armor like |
|
| Lady Sarevess
Lady Sarevess is hidden inside an underwater cave to the Southwest of where Ghamoo-ra is. Her area is full of naga, with Sarevess herself pulling with two Naga patrols. Clear the area around her, CC and kill the patrols alongside her first. Sarevess herself can be a bit annoying with her Frost Nova ability (that should be dispelled from the tank if you can do so) and her Forked Lightning - avoid stacking with other players. |
|
| Gelihast
Gelihast can be found in a room full of murlocs, after the third large corridor full of Nagas and Satyr. The biggest challenge is his room, filled with murlocs that run away when at low health. Pull them back to where you came from to ensure you don't chain pull extra murlocs. For Gelihast, his only ability is a Net that roots your tank. This can be removed with abilities such as |
|
| Lorgus Jett
Lorgus Jett can be found patrolling the corridor area after Gelihast. Be careful not to pull any extra naga or satyrs alongside the boss. His only ability is a Lightning Shield that deals damage to any melee attacking him while the shield holds. You can remove the shield with any offensive dispel abilities like |
|
| Old Serra'kis
Old Serra'kis is a hidden boss, located deep underwater under the Twilight's Hammer sanctum area. Serra'kis has no abilities of note and the fact that he is underwater is the biggest challenge for his fight. If you have access to |
|
| Twilight Lord Kelris
Kelris is located inside the Twilight's Hammer sanctum area. He is surrounded by Twilight's Hammer mobs that should be pulled before him - Abuse the wall at the sanctum's entrance to use Line of Sight to pull them back. Kelris has two abilities: A Mind Blast that can be interrupted and a Sleep that puts everyone around him to sleep for 7 seconds. As the Sleep is around his melee range, casters and healers should prepare to tank Kelris for a few seconds - And the tank should be ready to taunt him back the second he's out of his Sleep. |

After Kelris is defeated, you will need to open the door leading to the final part of the dungeon. This is done by lighting the four braziers around the giant brazier behind him. Lighting each brazier summons waves of mobs, so make sure you light one brazier at a time:

|
| Aku'mai
Aku'mai is the final boss of Blackfathom Deeps. Although Aku'mai has two abilities, his fight is mostly a tank and spank. The tank will receive a lot of damage via his Frenzied Rage, so keep an eye on his health and off-heal if necessary. Besides that, make sure to dodge the Poison Clouds he spawns. |
