On this page, you will find out the optimal PvE stat priority for your Survival Hunter in WoW Forever. We first present the stat priority, before delving into more complex explanations.
Survival Hunter Stat Priotity
This page will go over the stat priority you will want as a Survival Hunter in WoW Forever at Level 60. Stat priorities are rather straightforward for Survival Hunters in Forever WoW. As you gear up however, it is always advised that you use the sims for the best results. With the way Forever WoW is treated, the information provided in this guide may change as new information is discovered and metas shift.
| Stat | Bonus |
|---|---|
| Weapon Damage | Weapon damage is your most important stat as a Survival Hunter and will increase your overall damage done per attack. |
| Hit Chance | Hit chance decreases the chance to miss your target with all attacks and abilities. |
| Critical Strike Chance | Increases all damage caused by auto attacks and abilities by 2.00x. |
| Agility | Agility is the main primary stat for Survival Hunters, and simply put more is always better. It will increase your attack power, critical strike chance, and dodge chance. |
| Intellect | Intellect increases your mana pool by 15 per 1 point of intellect. |
| Attack Power | Attack power increases the damage you and your pet do. |
Below we will discuss each stat in a little more detail as it applies to Survival Hunters in WoW Forever. The biggest change to the class is that pets now have a small bit of scaling, however it only affects auto attack damage and does not affect pet abilities.
Weapon Damage
Weapon damage is your most important stat as it is where the bulk of your damage will from with
Auto Shot.
Auto Shot consists of Weapon Damage + Ammo Damage + Ranged Attack Power + Scope.
Aimed Shot, and
Multi-Shot
also benefit directly from your weapon damage.
Hit Chance
Due to hit suppresion being removed in WoW Forever, the hit cap has changed from 9% down to 8%. And as
a Survival Hunter with the
Surefooted talent providing you with 3% hit, you will only need a total of
5% hit from your gear making this stat a relatively easy one to deal with. In WoW Forever, your pet will also
now scale with your hit chance and inherit 8% of your hit through your gear and talents.
Another note is that melee hunter is expected to be a very viable option in WoW Forever, and with dual wield being a choice, more hit past the 8% soft hit cap will be nice to have, but will not necessarily be something overly important to chase or worry about.
Critical Strike Chance
All attacks and abilities have a chance to land a critical strike causing 2.00x damage.
There are also modifiers that Survival Hunters will have access to which will increase your critical
strike chance, and critical strike damage such as
Savage Strikes, and
Predator's Edge.
Additionally, for Hunters in WoW Forever your pet will now inherit 100% of your critical strike chance.
Agility
Agility is the main primary stat for Survival Hunters, and simply put more is always better. While gearing up through the leveling process you will want agility on every piece of gear when available. Agility increases your melee and ranged attack power, critical strike chance, armor, and dodge chance. This in turn also increases your pet's damage as they inherit 10% of your attack power, 100% of your critical strike chance and a small percentage of armor.
Weapon Damage Explained
Intellect
Intellect is another important stat for Survival Hunters as it increases your mana pool by 15 for each point
of intellect. In WoW Forever, your rotation is quite heavy on mana usage so more mana will keep you going for longer
before needing to use mana potions. This stat is further boosted by the new
Careful Aim talent which increases
your attack power by 20%/40%/60%/80%/100% of your total intellect making it more important than before in Classic.
Attack Power
Attack power is the final stat, and as simple as it gets. You gain more attack power by either equipping gear directly with it, or you can increase your attack power by equipping gear with more agility as in WoW Forever, 1 agility = 2 ranged attack power, and 1 melee attack power. Pets damage also scales off of the players highest attack power, whether it be ranged, or melee attack power by 10%. Unfortunately pets abilities do not scale off of attack power increase though.
