Affliction Warlock Talent Builds for World of Warcraft: Forever
Affliction does best when enemies live long enough for its DoTs to deal
their damage. The build below is our recommendation for dungeon and raid
DPS, combining several DoTs with 
Shadow Bolt and a Succubus.
Shadow Mastery and Ruin Build
This 30/0/21 build goes far enough into Affliction for 
Shadow Mastery,
while still reaching 
Ruin in Destruction. That gives you strong
Shadow Bolt damage alongside your DoTs, with Improved Shadow Bolt
allowing your Shadow Bolt crits to increase the damage your Shadow spells deal
to that enemy.
Most of your time goes into casting Shadow Bolt while keeping
Corruption, 
Siphon Life, and either 
Bane of Doom or
Bane of Agony running. 
Nightfall occasionally gives you an
instant-cast Shadow Bolt to use between casts, or while moving.
Bane of Havoc gives you another option when fighting two enemies,
letting you damage one while attacking the other. If you don't expect to use it,
you can move that point into Improved Corruption instead. The linked
build has four points in this talent, so Corruption still has a short
cast time; taking the fifth point makes it instant, which is useful when you need
to move often.
