The Orcs, a race brought to the world of Azeroth through the Dark Portal, are one of the four races available to Horde players in World of Warcraft: Forever. They can play as Hunters, Mages, Rogues, Shamans, Warlocks, and Warriors.

1.

Lore Information for Orc

Long ago, the orcish horde was corrupted by the Burning Legion and lured to the world of Azeroth. For generations, the orcs made war upon the human kingdoms of Stormwind and Lordaeron. Though the Horde was ultimately defeated, a visionary young warchief named Thrall rose to lead his people in their darkest hour. Under Thrall's rule, the orcs freed themselves from the chains of demonic corruption and embraced their shamanistic heritage. After years of wandering, the orcs founded their own kingdom in the harsh wastelands of Durotar. Based in the warrior city of Orgrimmar, they stand ready to destroy all who would challenge their supremacy. As a proud defender of Durotar, it is your duty to crush the enemies, both seen and unseen, for the nefarious agents of the Burning Legion still wander the land.

FAQAre Orcs good in WoW Forever?
Orcs remain a great choice on Horde, especially for melee damage players. Axe Specialization Icon Axe Specialization gives increased crit chance when wielding an axe, and Blood Fury Icon Blood Fury behaves as a pseudo third trinket, giving you an additional DPS cooldown with no downside. Defensively, Orcs also get Shatter Curse, offering them a defensive against curses, banes, and Magic damage.
2.

Orc Racials

Blizzard's racial re-design philosophy uses four racials per race: two passive effects and two active abilities. The goal is to create a more consistent power level between all races, giving each race its own distinct identity and allowing players to choose the race they like best.

  • Blood Fury Icon Blood Fury (Active) — Increases Attack Power and Spell Power by 10% for 15-seconds. 2-minute cooldown.
  • Shatter Curse (Active) — Removes and grants immunity to Curses and Banes and reduces Magical damage taken by 15% for 8 seconds. 3-minute cooldown.
  • Axe Specialization Icon Axe Specialization (Passive) — While wielding an Axe or Two-Handed Axe, increases spell and ability critical strike chance by 1%.
  • Hardiness Icon Hardiness (Passive) — Reduces the duration of Stun effects by 20%.
FAQWhat type of crit chance does Axe Specialization give, and do I need to equip a axe?
All crit chance types have been unified, meaning there is no longer melee crit chance, ranged crit chance, or spell crit chance, and instead only a singular crit chance that boosts everything. You must still wear an axe to gain the benefit.
FAQDoes Shatter Curse remove existing curses and banes and prevent new ones?
Yes, Shatter Curse grants 8-seconds of immunity to both curses and banes.

4.

Orc Playable Classes

Orcs have strong offensive and defensive racials. Blood Fury Icon Blood Fury increases Attack Power and Spell Power, making it great for everyone, especially DPS players. Axe Specialization Icon Axe Specialization increases critical strike chance while wielding Axes or Two-Handed Axes. In WoW Forever, crit is a unified stat rather than being separated into melee, ranged, and spell crit, allowing everyone to benefit from this racial. Hardiness Icon Hardiness reduces the duration of Stun effects, quite helpful in PvP. Shatter Curse removes curses, banes, grants temporary immunity to them, and also reduces Magical damage taken; this is great for PvP and has many uses in PvE encounters, making Orcs a well balanced race for all types of content.
