Tauren are one of the more peaceful races of Azeroth, often preferring to explore their Shamanistic and Druidic teachings than spend their time fighting. They can be played as Druids, Hunters, Shamans, and Warriors in World of Warcraft: Forever.

1.

Lore Information for Skyborne

Once a nomadic people, the tauren roamed the endless plains of the Barrens, hunting the mighty kodo. Scattered across the land, the wandering tribes were united only by their common hatred for their sworn enemy, the marauding centaur. Seeking aid against the centaur, the great chieftain, Cairne Bloodhoof, befriended the savage orcs, who had recently journeyed to Kalimdor. With the orcs’ help, Cairne and his tribe were able to drive back the centaur and claim the grasslands of Mulgore for their own. Upon the windswept mesa of Thunder Bluff, Cairne built a refuge for his people. Over time, the scattered tribes united under a single banner. Though the noble tauren are peaceful in nature, the rites of the Great Hunt are venerated as the heart of their spiritual culture. As a tribesman of Mulgore, you must test your skills in the wild and prove yourself in the Great Hunt.

FAQAre Tauren good in WoW Forever?
Taurens make for fantastic tanks, having and AoE stun with War Stomp Icon War Stomp and and additional 5 health via Endurance Icon Endurance. These abilities also work well in PvP, making them a great choice for players who primarily tank and enjoy PvPing.
2.

Tauren Racials

Blizzard's racial re-design philosophy uses four racials per race: two passive effects and two active abilities. The goal is to create a more consistent power level between all races, giving each race its own distinct identity and allowing players to choose the race they like best.

  • War Stomp Icon War Stomp (Active) — Stuns up to 5 enemies within 8-yards for 2-seconds. 0.5-second cast. 2-minute cooldown.
  • Cultivation Icon Cultivation (Active) — Can be cast on a nearby Herbalism node, causing a bonus Herbalism node to grow around you. These nodes do not require Herbalism to gather.
  • Plainsrunning Icon Plainsrunning (Passive) — Movement speed progressively increases the longer you remain moving, up to 30% increased movement speed.
  • Endurance Icon Endurance (Passive) — Increases total Health by 5% and Hit Chance by 1%.
FAQDoes Plainsrunning work in combat or stack with other movement-speed effects?
No, you can not use Plainsrunning Icon Plainsrunning in combat, or even in instances such as dungeons or raids.
FAQWhat type of hit chance does Endurance grant?
All hit chance types have been unified, meaning there is no longer melee hit chance, ranged hit chance, or spell hit chance, and instead only a singular hit chance that boosts everything.
