World of Warcraft: Forever Combat Rogue - Spec, Builds, and Talents

Last Updated: Oct 31, 2026 - 2:53 PM (today)

On this page, you will find out the best PvE talent choices and builds for your Combat Rogue in WoW Forever.

1.

Combat Rogue Talent Builds for World of Warcraft: Forever

As a Combat Rogue, your focus is on dealing as much damage as possible passively, while generating Combo Points with either Sinister Strike Icon Sinister Strike or Backstab Icon Backstab, and spending them on finishing abilities like Slice and Dice Icon Slice and Dice and Eviscerate Icon Eviscerate. Our recommended build focuses on maximizing raw damage, while adding a little survivability.

2.

Sinister Strike Combat

The recommended build for this specialization is 18/33/0. This build puts the main focus on dealing damage with Sinister Strike Icon Sinister Strike as opposed to other options like Backstab Icon Backstab, so it will assume you are using a non-Dagger.

This build does not change a ton about the actual gameplay loop but rather enhances it and includes a few fun tools to help deal more damage. Adrenaline Rush Icon Adrenaline Rush increases your Energy regeneration by 100% while it is active, allowing for more Sinister Strike Icon Sinister Strike casts and more Combo Points to be generated for finishing abilities like Slice and Dice Icon Slice and Dice and Eviscerate Icon Eviscerate.

Blade Flurry Icon Blade Flurry also offers the closest thing to AoE currently available for Rogue. This not only increases your attack speed while active but also causes your attacks to cleave onto a secondary target for 15 seconds. Ideally this is used when a second target is present, but even in a pure single-target situation the bonus attack speed will be a nice damage increase.

If you would rather use a Dagger, do not hesitate to switch to a Backstab Icon Backstab focused version of this build. The only changes to the build listed above would be moving the two points found in the Improved Poisons Icon Improved Poisons talent in the Assassination tree to the Opportunity Icon Opportunity talent found in the first row of the Subtlety tree.
