World of Warcraft: Forever Frost Mage - Spec, Builds, and Talents

Last Updated: Oct 31, 2026 - 2:53 PM (today)

On this page, you will find out the best PvE talent choices and builds for your Frost Mage in WoW Forever.

1.

Frost Mage Talent Builds for World of Warcraft: Forever

Frost Mage has a variety of different builds both for different playstyles and scenarios. The spec has a lot more utility than the other Mage specs, who are built for raw damage. This gives you more options and opportunities to play around scenarios such as area-of-effect farming, surviving more risky plays, and the occasional skirmish on PvP servers.

These Talents May Change

These builds are built with Level 60 end-game in mind, however they rely on assumptions from World of Warcraft Classic's gameplay. In Forever, it's not clear how much Mana management will be required at end-game, and the gear that will be available may change the priority of talent picks.

2.

Deep Frost Build

Building a proper Frost tree is quite point-heavy, and a lot of the talents interact with each other in some way. This 11/0/40 build picks up most of the utility and DPS talents from Frost, making it useful for general overworld play, dungeons, and more. This build sacrifices some DPS and Mana management for this flexibility, however.

3.

Cone-of-Cold Raiding Build

This 19/0/32 build intended for end-game raiding takes all 8 points in Improved Cone of Cold Icon Improved Cone of Cold and Winter's Chill Icon Winter's Chill to build stacks on enemies and pop them. It drops various utility that won't apply in raids, such as Frostbite Icon Frostbite, so you'll be relying solely on Fingers of Frost Icon Fingers of Frost procs.

It also picks up Arcane Meditation Icon Arcane Meditation in the fourth row of Arcane. If you find that you have a comfortable amount of Mana, you can slowly take points away from Arcane Meditation Icon Arcane Meditation and Arcane Concentration Icon Arcane Concentration and add them to Arcane Impact Icon Arcane Impact and Incineration Icon Incineration, in that order, for a minor DPS gain.
