How to Get The Sleeping Bag in World of Warcraft Forever

Last Updated: Oct 10, 2026 - 10:00 AM (4d ago)

The Cozy Sleeping Bag Icon Cozy Sleeping Bag is a special item in World of Warcraft: Forever that can be obtained from a questline that brings you all around Azeroth, and is used to give you extra experience. Learn how to obtain it!

1.

What is the Cozy Sleeping Bag

The Cozy Sleeping Bag Icon Cozy Sleeping Bag is a special item that can be used to give you bonus experience. The bag itself has a 1-hour cooldown when used, and when standing in it for at least one minute, you will receive the Well Rested Icon Well Rested buff, increasing all experience gains by 1% for 2 hours.

The Well Rested buff stacks up to three times, allowing a total of 3% increased experience for 2 hours. The buff persists through death, and members of your party can use the Sleeping Bag.

2.

Rewards from the Sleeping Bag Questline

Besides the Cozy Sleeping Bag Icon Cozy Sleeping Bag, you can receive a few additional rewards from completing the questline.

  • 8x Student Fodder Icon Student Fodder from most quests in the questline. In WoW Forever, these regenerate Health every 2 seconds for 12 seconds.
  • 1x Swiftness Potion Icon Swiftness Potion and 1x Lesser Troll's Blood Elixir Icon Lesser Troll's Blood Elixir from both versions of ... and that note you found.
  • Old Toolbox Icon Old Toolbox, a 12-slot bag, from Stepping Stones.
  • Silver Star Icon Silver Star, Moonsight Rifle Icon Moonsight Rifle or Precision Bow Icon Precision Bow from Scramble.
  • Hickory Pipe Icon Hickory Pipe and Rumsey Rum Light Icon Rumsey Rum Light from Wet Job.

How to Obtain the Cozy Sleeping Bag

The Cozy Sleeping Bag is locked behind a questline that has you traveling through many low-level zones in WoW Forever. Before embarking on this journey, it is recommended to have some means of transportation (such as unlocked Flight Paths) to or near the following zones:

  • Wetlands
  • The Barrens
  • Stonetalon Mountains
  • Loch Modan
  • Hillsbrad Foothills
3.1.

Step 1: Wetlands/The Barrens

The first step is slightly different for the Alliance and the Horde. They occur at the same locations, but in reverse order depending on your faction.

  • Alliance Icon Alliance: Interact with the burned-out remains by a pile of debris at the Alexston's Farmstead in Westfall to pick up ... and that note you found. Turn the quest in with the burned-out remains at the rubble of a destroyed tower south of Camp Taurajo in The Barrens, and pick up Stepping Stones.
  • Horde: Interact with the burned-out remains at the rubble of a destroyed tower south of Camp Taurajo in The Barrens to pick up ... and that note you found. Turn this in with the burned-out remains by a pile of debris at the Alexston's Farmstead in Westfall, and pick up Stepping Stones.
3.2.

Step 2: Stonetalon Mountains

Once you pick up Stepping Stones, the questline converges for both factions.

  • Head to Stonetalon Mountains. Find a path going up the mountain Northeast of Sun Rock Retreat. Follow the path until you reach an abandoned camp. At the abandoned camp, turn in Stepping Stones and pick up Scramble.
    • Optionally, you can use the rewards provided from the Stepping Stones quest to light up the campfire at the camp.
  • Follow the path up the mountain north of the camp. Be careful not to miss the jump, or you'll need to go all the way around to start over! Reach the mound of dirt to complete Scramble and pick up Wet Job.
3.3.

Step 3: Loch Modan

Once you pick up Wet Job, head to Loch Modan next.

  • Get to Stonewrought Dam on the north of Loch Modan and jump down the eastern-most Dwarf head. This is an easy jump, but do not miss it, or you'll fall all the way back to Wetlands!
  • Turn in Wet Job and pick up Eagle's Fist.
3.4.

Final Step: Hillsbrad Foothills

The last step to obtain the Sleeping Bag is in Thoradin's Wall, between Hillsbrad Foothills and Arathi Highlands.

  • On the Hillsbrad Foothills side of Thoradin's Wall, locate a broken-down cart. The cart's debris are a jumping puzzle that leads you higher into the wall.
  • Once you get past all the jumping puzzles (solution in the image below), you will enter a room full of knick-knacks and tchotchkes. Cross the room and turn in Eagle's Fist by a bag hanging on a wall.
  • Pick up This Must Be The Place and turn it in by the scroll just below the bag. Congrats on your sleeping bag!
