World of Warcraft: Forever Alchemy Leveling Guide

You can level Alchemy from 1 to 225 with recipes you learn from trainers. Gather the herbs with Herbalism or buy them from the Auction House. If you're deciding whether Alchemy is right for you, start with the overview below.

The shopping list covers the recommended route from 1 to 225. Buy your Empty Vial and Leaded Vial from an Alchemy Supplies or Trade Supplies vendor. The herb and vial totals are estimates because yellow recipes can take a few extra crafts. Stop making each recipe when you reach the skill shown in the table.

Alliance players can learn Apprentice Alchemy from Milla Fairancora on the Craftsmen's Terrace in Darnassus. Horde players can learn it from Doctor Martin Felben in the Apothecarium in Undercity. The Journeyman and Expert trainers are in those same districts.

You can switch from Elixir of Minor Defense to Minor Mana Potion as early as 25 if Mageroyal costs less than Silverleaf. Both recipes use one Peacebloom and one Empty Vial, so swap one Silverleaf for one Mageroyal for each craft you replace. The materials column gives the total for each step.

Train Journeyman Alchemy before crafting past 75. It requires character level 10 and 50 Alchemy. Alliance players can train with Sylvanna Forestmoon in Darnassus, and Horde players can train with Doctor Marsh in Undercity.

Keep making Elixir of Minor Fortitude until 90. It turns yellow at 80, but Elixir of Wisdom gives a point for every craft from 90 to 120.

Expert Alchemy requires character level 20 and 125 Alchemy. Train with Ainethil in Darnassus or Doctor Herbert Halsey in Undercity before you craft past 150.

Keep making Lesser Mana Potion until 160, then switch to Mana Potion. The remaining recipes each use one Leaded Vial per craft. At 185, learn Elixir of Agility. It stays orange until you can learn Greater Mana Potion at 205.
