Engineering in World of Warcraft Forever is a primary crafting profession that utilizes metals, stones, and gems gathered through Mining to construct mechanical gadgets, explosive bombs, unique goggles, and tactical utility tools that give players an edge in both PvE and PvP combat. In this guide we will recommend ways to level it as quickly and cheaply as possible in case you want to speed-level Engineering!
Engineering Leveling Guide from 1 to 225 in WoW Forever
You'll level Engineering by making the parts for your own bombs, grenades, and gadgets. Hold on to your blasting powders and metal parts as you go. You learn every recipe either with Apprentice Engineering or from a trainer, so you can follow the route with either specialization.

Materials Needed
Mining supplies the stone and metal for most of the route.
Buy a
Blacksmith Hammer from a Blacksmithing Supplies vendor
and
Weak Flux from an Engineering Supplies vendor. Work near an
anvil and keep the hammer and your
Arclight Spanner in your bags
once you make the spanner at 50.
The shopping list counts raw materials once. The materials column in each leveling table shows what the whole batch uses, including parts you made earlier. A craft can produce several items but only gives you one chance at a skill point. When a recipe turns yellow or green, your totals will vary.

Engineering Trainers in WoW Forever
Engineering has four trainable ranks, each of which increases the highest skill level that you can reach. You can learn the next rank before reaching your current skill cap, provided you meet both requirements shown below.
| Rank | Skill Cap | Engineering Skill Required | Character Level Required |
|---|---|---|---|
| Apprentice | 75 | None | None |
| Journeyman | 150 | 50 | 10 |
| Expert | 225 | 125 | 20 |
| Artisan | 300 | 200 | 35 |
Use the buttons below to select a training rank, then your faction.
Each trainer appears under the highest rank they teach, and trainers
available to both factions are listed at the bottom of both faction tables.
You can copy a /mappin command into the game chat to place a
marker on your map.

Leveling Engineering from 1 to 75
Make 60×
Rough Blasting Powder and 30×
Handful of Copper Bolts before you start making bombs. Finish both
batches even if you pass the skill range shown. Together they supply about
30 crafts of
Rough Copper Bomb.
At 50, make your
Arclight Spanner. If you're level 10, you can
train Journeyman Engineering on the same visit so you can keep gaining skill
past 75. Switch to
Coarse Blasting Powder at 75.
| Skill Range | Item | Approximate Crafts | Materials |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 to 30 | 60 | 60× |
|
| 30 to 50 | 30 | 30× |
|
| At 50 | 1 | 6× |
|
| To 75 | 30 | 30× 30× 60× 30× |
Leveling Engineering from 75 to 150
Make 45×
Coarse Blasting Powder, then use it for
Coarse Dynamite until you reach 100. If you run out a point or two
early, you can already make
Silver Contact. Each extra craft costs
one
Silver Bar.
At 105, make
Bronze Tube until you reach 115 and keep at least
ten for
Standard Scope. The scopes give a point each through 125.
If
Moss Agate is expensive, you can skip the scopes and continue
making tubes to 125. Each extra tube takes 2×
Bronze Bar and
1×
Weak Flux.
At 125, make 42×
Heavy Blasting Powder. Save 30 for
Explosive Sheep and the other 12 for
Iron Grenade. Keep all 15×
Whirring Bronze Gizmo
for the sheep. The powder turns gray at 145, but finish the batch for the
later crafts. Train Expert before you pass 150. You can learn it at character
level 20 with 125 Engineering. If you finish both batches short of 150, you
can start making
Bronze Framework at 145.
| Skill Range | Item | Approximate Crafts | Materials |
|---|---|---|---|
| 75 to 90 | 45 | 45× |
|
| 90 to 100 | 15 | 45× 15× |

| To 150 | 15 | 30× 15× |
Leveling Engineering from 150 to 225
Make 15×
Bronze Framework, then combine the frames with
the gizmos and powder you saved to make
Explosive Sheep. Count any
frames you made before 150 toward the 15. The sheep give one point per craft
until 175, so check your skill after making the frames to see how many sheep
you still need. Each extra sheep takes one more frame, one gizmo,
two blasting powder, and 2×
Wool Cloth. Set five finished
sheep aside if you plan to take Goblin Engineering.
At 175, make and keep 26×
Solid Blasting Powder. Save 20
for triggers and six for your final bombs. Finish the stretch to 195 with
Iron Grenade, using the
Heavy Blasting Powder you set aside
earlier. Then make
Mithril Tube until you reach 200. Keep six tubes
if you plan to take Gnomish Engineering.
At 200, learn
Unstable Trigger from Springspindle Fizzlegear in
Ironforge or Roxxik in Orgrimmar. Both also teach
Mithril Casing and
Mithril Frag Bomb at 215, so you can stay with the same trainer to
225. For the last ten points, alternate one casing with one bomb. Both crafts
can give skill, and each bomb craft uses one of your saved triggers and one
more powder. If you need extra powder, 2×
Solid Stone makes
enough for one more trigger or bomb. Stop as soon as you reach 225.
