The new season is upon us (starting at 5PM PST/CET/KST), and we have the guides ready! This season is a bit of a game changer for literally all builds, as in addition to the shadow clones that will be helping you out and modifying some builds, the 4th Kanai's Cube slot changes all of them! You can also check out our other handy season-relaed guides here.

But enough introing, let's get to it!

Strange that you've only rated Masquerade Bone Spear Necro as "High" when people are saying it's going to be the tippy top best of the best this season

I noticed that too. In the drop down for Necro it's listed as "Top" as well. I'll probably play this one anyway, since Haedrig's is the Masquerade set.

Diablo's anniversary event, the Darkening of Tristram ends January 31.
      (Source)
Whether you’re a series veteran craving nostalgia, or a newcomer hungry for your first taste of the franchise’s past, this annual loving homage to the earliest days of Diablo is for you.
Read on for more, including a closer look at the anniversary dungeon and its unique rewards.

      Stop the Cultists
Your journey begins on the trail of a group of mysterious cultists causing trouble in Sanctuary. As you hunt them down in Adventure Mode, you’ll uncover clues leading to a portal into Tristram’s past, and the terrifying darkness that took hold of the town so many years ago. . . .

      Explore the Cathedral
Follow the clues and you’ll soon find yourself in a realm of glorious RetroVision™, where an all-too-familiar cathedral looms. Explore the depths and you’ll discover familiar enemies and iconic items, all brought to life in the Diablo III engine. Meanwhile, deep beneath the catacombs, the Dark Lord himself awaits any intrepid adventurer who dares to challenge him. . . .

      Discover Precious Loot
What is a Diablo game without shiny new loot to call your own? Completing activities in the anniversary event yields unique transmogrification effects, achievements, portraits, pets, and more.
While some rewards are easy to find, others may have you scouring every nook or unlocking every achievement before you can get your hands on them. Can you earn them all? There’s only one way to find out!

      Your Journey Begins…
Exclusive rewards and challenging enemies await you, but they won’t last forever! The cultists will appear on December 31 at 4 p.m. PST, and the portal opens January 3 at the same hour. Both parts of the event end January 31 at 4 p.m. PST.
Enter the dungeon, reap your rewards, and survive the evils within—or die in the process, never to be heard from again. . . .

With Season 22 just a few hours away, it's time to look at which class to play and the rankings.

Solo Greater Rift Push Build Rankings for Season 22
If you like to play alone and would like to push rifts, we recommend you the following builds for each class, with more builds listed in our solo Greater Rift pushing guide.
Barbarian: Wrath of the Wastes Rend Build Crusader: Thorns Bomrardment Build Demon Hunter: GoD Hungering Arrow Build Monk: Patters of Justice Tempest Rush Build Necromancer: Masquerade Bone Spear Build Witch Doctor: Mundunugu Spirit Barrage Build Wizard: LoD Hydra Build
Speed Farming Tier Lists for Season 22
These are your best choices if your prioritize speed-clearing bounties, Greater Rifts, or Torment 16 standard rifts in Season 22. For more details, check out our speed farming and rankings guide.
      S-Tier
Necromancer: LoD Singularity Mage Build + Masquerade Bone Spear Build Demon Hunter: Unhallowed Essence Multishot Build + GoD Hungering Arrow Demon Hunter Build A-Tier
Monk: PoJ Tempest Rush Build + Sunwuko Wave of Light Build Barbarian: Wrath of the Wastes Rend Build B-Tier
Witch Doctor: Mundunugu Spirit Barrage Build C-Tier
Wizard: Vyr Archon Wizard Build Crusader: Aegis of Valor Heaven's Fury Build
The Group Meta for Season 22
Determining the exact meta is more complex, which is why we're listing class roles at which the classes excel in Season 22. You can find a more in-depth look at how individual classes perform in a group environment in our group meta overview.
Best Trash Killers for Season 22 will be Thorns Bombardment Crusader, LoD Poison Scythe Necromancer, and Spirit Barrage Witch Doctor. Best Rift Guardian Killer compositions revolve around DPS builds that focus on single-target damage, mainly stacking the Bane of the Stricken gem. Best at Grouping are Support Barbarians with their Ancient Spear and other classes that utilize items like The Executioner and Strongarm Bracers. Best Tank Support for Season 22 goes to Inna Monk! The best class for Experience Farming is Wrath of the Wastes Rend Barbarian since Barbarians can move extremely fast while dealing consistently high AoE damage. Season 22 heralds the return of so-called "rat runs" that consist of 2 LoD Singularity Mage Necromancers, 1 Support Necromancer, and a Support Barbarian. We hope you will enjoy Season 22, and we'll see you in the game!
