Echoes of Vanadiel Alliance Raid Guides for FFXIV
This page contains information about the Alliance Raid series of Dawntrail, Echoes of Vanadiel. The raid is a collaboration with Final Fantasy XI and draws heavily from said game.
Echoes of Vanadiel Overview
Echoes of Vanadiel is the Alliance Raid of Dawntrail. Alliance Raids are 24-person raids released in odd patches with an encompassing story and weekly loot rewards. The raid itself is a collaboration with Final Fantasy XI, and will draw heavily from the older Final Fantasy MMO.
Unlock Requirements
The first tier of the raid, Jeuno: The First Walk, is unlocked through the quest "An Otherworldly Encounter" by talking to the Hoobigo Messenger at Tuliyollal (x13.0, y11.6). Players must have completed the Dawntrail main scenario quests to unlock the raid. Further tiers are unlocked by completing the previous raid and completing the story.
Release Schedule
Jeuno: The First Walk was released on November 12, 2024 with Patch 7.1. The second tier will be released in Patch 7.3, and the third and final tier will be released in Patch 7.5.
Lore
Strange happenings in Yak T'el have cast a pall of unease over the forest. After an armor-clad stranger was found unconscious in the Skydeep Cenote, bereft of memory, the shade of Gulool Ja Ja was spotted stalking the woods with a young girl. What appeared to be unrelated events take a turn when Bakool Ja Ja confronts the Dawnservant's shadowy impostor. The armor-clad stranger recognizes the girl as Prishe, a friend seemingly turned enemy, who retreats with Gulool Ja Ja's shade into the blinding light of an otherworldly rift. In search of answers, and to safeguard Tural, Bakool Ja Ja bids you join him as he follows the incongruous pair into the unknown.
Raid Strategy Guides
The following section currently holds strategy guides written by Icy Veins for the Alliance Raid.
Rewards
Players can only receive one reward item per week from a standard chest in Jeuno: The First Walk. Once players receive a reward for that week, they are unable to roll for any other reward that drops. Upon completing the raid for the first time per weekly lockout, players can receive an additional reward: two Cracked Novaclusters and one Ordelle Coin. This coin can be traded in to receive tokens to enhance Quetzalli equipment. Additionally, there is a chest that appears at the end of the raid that can have rare items; these items can be rolled for as many times as the player wants.
Item Levels
Here are the item levels of gear received in the Alliance Raid.
- The First Walk: Item Level 720;
- The Second Walk: Item Level 750.
Item Exchange
The items obtained from the weekly reward can be exchanged for upgrade tokens by speaking with Uah'shepya in Solution Nine (x8.7, y13.5). In addition, Tattered Sheet Music found in the treasure chests of Jeuno: The First Walk can be exchanged with the peculiar goblin in Lower Jeuno (X:6.5 Y:5.2) for special orchestrion rolls relating to Echoes of Vana'diel.
