We now have all class guides updated and ready for the Season of Nightmares, Live now on EU servers, at 5 PM PDT on US and 5PM KST in Asia. The addition of the Witch Doctor and Wizard has rounded out our new and updated builds overview and you can now check them all out right here and get familiarized as we head to that level 70 and start collecting all the necessary loot.

Wow! This is awesome and now I don't have to work too hard on figuring a lot into which changes to which classes. Thanks so much for all your hard work!

Yeah tags need some work. Pretty sure for example Singularity LoN build is turbo fast build for GR but not tagged as GR speedfarm like others. Also I'm concerned about Firebird starter build still not fixed after Firebird set rework which requires 3 fire spells to proc dmg but guide still shows only 2 fire spells. This can be misleading.

The tags are definitely all over the place, but I think the prerequisite for [gr-speed-farming] is probably that the build is designed for that activity (or has a variant listed that is), i.e. maximizing DPS in group situations with a support, or sacrificing survivability or damage for speed. I think builds that just happen to work well enough are overlooked in cases the guide doesn't specifically tailor them to.

It doesn't help that this redesign is happening at the same time as an influx of new builds, and literally the day of. As I and others pointed out already, the tags don't even match between this post and the actual guides. 

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I guess with Diablofans out of action, lack of competition lowered the bar.

Heya! Just wanted to clear some misconceptions, since it does look a bit hectic and inconsistent at the moment.

First of all, I do apologize for the discrepancies between this post and our actual rankings! I should have communicated better with Starym on a megathread post like that, but hopefully with the re-arrangement and some tag fixing things are a little more clear. You are also absolutely right that our current tagging system doesn't let people know which guides feature Death's Breath farming alterations, and we'll be fixing that asap.

That being said, I want to let you know the plan for the next few weeks, as those tags come into actual use! The plan for the first few weeks of Season 17 is to split the guides into their own proper Sub-Categories, so that Greater Rift pushing guides no longer mix with Speed farming recommendations and vice versa. The idea is to have a much clearer presentation of which guide you are looking at, what its purpose is, and that you get to the information you need faster and more accurate.

It should also lead to shorter sentences, which is my long-term bane 🙂

The idea is definitely not to lower the bar after our peer's closure!

I kid. I see new faces, new builds, new organization, and a flurry of new-season activity underway all around the same time. It'd be weird if nothing went wrong somewhere.

It's great that you guys are pushing to increase granularity in build sorting. Once upon a time we had to click on builds to even see what they were for. Soon, it looks like we'll know which gold-farming build is optimal for Tuesdays! This is kind of a big deal, though, because it lets us drill down a little more and many users are used to the depth of this aspect of DiabloFans.

Yea I think there was something wrong with the tier list marking at the time i looked it up and added to the article (since the guides were still being updated), so I apologize for the weirdness with the Top Tier stuff etc. (although to be fair I did think Rapid Fire COULD be a top tier build sooo, clearly I'm not that bright 😄 )

      Nevalistis commented on the possible Season 17 end date on the D3 reddit, and it seems we're not getting any specifics beyond the 2 week warning. The latest season started on May 17th and has been going on for almost 2 months now, with the average season duration being 3 months, but 16 was a longer one, clocking in at 114 days - the 4th longest season ever.

      Season 17 has been great so far, with it's LoN buff, so it could be extended like the Season of Grandeur was - here's hoping it is since I don't really see what new seasonal effect they can come up with that would match the Season of Nightmares.

      The Barbarian class has seen better days, and with the latest season some of their major flaws were accentuated even more with the lack of solid LoN builds. Two Diablo 3 community members, Rage and Free, have taken it upon themselves to take a good look at the class and figure out what should be done to put it on at least a bit more equal footing with the other classes and to return some variety within the class itself.
      Their efforts are concentrated on getting as much attention to their proposed changes, and after having looked said changes over ourselves, we decided to help them out by sharing them. For all the in-depth analysis and details, head on over to the aptly named barbarianbuffproposals.strikingly.com, while we take a look at the general idea here. 

      The main problems Free and Rage focus on are twofold:
      Certain parts of sets and/or builds are simply not working, such as Rend in WotW or Avalanche in MoE. A lot of supporting legendaries are either outdated or just bad, and so a lot of BiS slots are taken by generic cross-class items, so LoN and primary skill builds are weak as a result. The solutions are manifold and very detailed, but are also separated into 3 categories, with the first being a simple (but also very detailed) fixes to the broken sets and skills, as well as buffs to the under-performing legendaries, while the second goes much deeper and suggests larger gameplay changes, such as set and item overhauls. The third category is somewhat separate and focuses on passive skill changes/buffs.
      The actual solutions presented in these 3 categories are truly massive and detailed, so we'll just focus on category 1, aka the "simple" number increase only solutions, and direct you over to the barbarianbuffproposals site for all the rest:

      As mentioned, this is just 1 of three proposed solutions and you should really check out the full page as it not only gives a great overview of where Barbarians are at the moment, but also some great solutions that go beyond simple number tweaks.
