Sunwuko Wave of Light Monk Speed Farming Variation
On this page, we explain everything that is specific to the Speed Farming variant of Sunwuko Wave of Light Monk. Updated for patch 2.6.6 and Season 18.
The Sunwuko Wave of Light Monk deals with regular Rift farming decently all the way through the highest Torments, making it a viable build for the task.
Within the limited scope of regular difficulties, the necessary damage and toughness to triumph over the enemy is significantly smaller. Thus, your best course of action is to improve utility and speed.

Although early on they can still be useful, you should ideally not need the excessive damage bonuses of Focus and Restraint during speed farming. In the place of the generator, you can slot the additive damage increase of Blinding Flash Faith in the Light.
You can shift away from survivability into more utility on Dashing Strike depending on your confidence in handling the build. This is usually done by replacing Blinding Speed with Way of the Falling Star during farming.
Replace the survivability of Mantra of Salvation Agility for Mantra of Conviction. Its base additive damage increase is welcome, but negligible compared to the movement speed utility of the Annihilation rune — which also affects the entire party, reinforcing its value when grouping up.
As previously mentioned, Focus and Restraint should not be necessary for Torment difficulties speedfarming; they are best replaced by Avarice Band and a Fire % Stone of Jordan respectively. Avarice Band is a cache legendary from Act III bounties that offers considerable utility in the form of pickup radius, synergizing perfectly with a gemmed Boon of the Hoarder and an equipped Goldwrap. In turn, Stone of Jordan offers a consistent damage increase that is more suited to speedfarming.
One of the strengths of a Sunwuko setup is its ability to empower your Death's Breath farming for future crafting. In order to do this, you will include 2 of the 3 pieces of the Sage's Journey set (definitely Sage's Passage, and either Sage's Apogee or Sage's Purchase), and cube a Ring of Royal Grandeur.
During regular Rift farming, Esoteric Alteration is best replaced by Boon of the Hoarder, whose interaction with the worn Avarice Band and Goldwrap will speed you up and keep you safe throughout the rift. Also, the GR-specific Bane of the Stricken should give way to general damage increase gems like Zei's Stone of Vengeance or Bane of the Powerful.
