Showdown Zones Guide in Midnight - Val and Naigtal

Gear in Showdown zones can be obtained by a variety of methods. It is recommended to have a minimum item level of 219.

• Almost all Showdown content such as World Quests, Rare mobs and treasures grant Field Accolade, which can be used to purchase Champion and Hero level gear from Maren Silverwing in Silvermoon. Check our Field Accolade Guide for more information.
• The World Bosses in both Showdown zones - Imperator Pertinax in Val and Nexus-Captain Leth'ir in Naigtal drop Warbound Champion gear. Like other world bosses, the first kill on your account per week has a guaranteed drop.
• Rare mobs in both Showdown zones can drop Champion-level gear, once per rare per day.
• The weekly Showdown quests require you to complete objectives in either areas and reward you with a Riftstalker's Cache, containing Hero Dawncrest, Field Accolade, Voidlight Marl, Coffer Key Shards and Gold.
  • The weekly quests for Normal World Tier are Showdown on Val / Showdown on Naigtal, followed by More Disruptions: Val / More Disruption: Naigtal and Dangerous Enemies: Val / Dangerous Enemies: Naigtal.

Heroic World Tier is a much higher difficulty than Normal, with a minimum item level of 274 being recommended to venture there. A group is also highly recommended. Here's how rewards increase from Normal World Tier:

• Almost all Showdown content such as World Quests, Rare mobs and treasures drops considerably more Field Accolade.
• The World Bosses in both Showdown zones now drop Hero-level gear.
• There are new Showdown weekly quests. They work the exact same as the Normal World Tier weekly quests and reward you with a Riftstalker's Overflowing Favor, containing Myth Dawncrest, increased Field Accolade, Voidlight Marl, Coffer Key Shards and Gold.
  • If you complete a weekly quest on Heroic World Tier before completing its Normal counterpart, you will receive both quest rewards inside the Riftstalker's Overflowing Favor.
  • The weekly quests for Heroic World Tier are Showdown on Val (Heroic) / Showdown on Naigtal (Heroic), followed by More Disruptions: Val (Heroic) / More Disruption: Naigtal (Heroic) and Dangerous Enemies: Val (Heroic) / Dangerous Enemies: Naigtal (Heroic).
• In addition to these, a new quest gives you a choice of three Myth-level items - Cloak, Belt or Bracers. Knocking Off the Top requires you to obtain 4 Void Commander's Emblem.
  • These can be obtained from killing World Bosses or completing Weekly Quests in Heroic World Tier.

However, Heroic World Tier has more dangers than just mobs scaling higher. Elite sentinels will patrol throughout the Showdown areas in search of prey, including hunting players and ambushing them. In addition to this, affixes are making a return from Legion Remix - mobs in Heroic World Tier can be empowered by a number of them, from over 30 options to choose from.

All achievement rewards can be purchased from Kifaan at the base camp for both Showdown areas. There are three meta achievements in Showdown zones: One for each specific zone, and one for Heroic World Tier.

• A Trip Around the Stars: Complete the following Val zone achievements. Unlocks the Voidmancer's Starcarver mount for purchase.
  • Into the Stars: Complete the introduction questlines for both Val and Naigtal.
  • Prepared for a Showdown: Complete the follow-up questlines in both Val and Naigtal.
  • Frosty Domanaar Politics: Complete the follow-up quests in Val.
  • Climate Strange: Val: Dissipate 5 storms by completing bonus objectives in Val. Unlocks the Fishstick Keith battle pet for purchase.
  • Showdown Slugger: Val: Kill 6 rare creatures in Val. Required to unlock the Arsenal: Lightforged Armaments for purchase.
  • Showdown Success: Val: Complete 8 different world quests in Val. Requires to unlock the Silento battle pet for purchase.
• A Trip Through the Stars: Complete the following Naigtal zone achievements. Unlocks the Netherforged Nullframe mount for purchase.
  • Into the Stars: Complete the introduction questlines for both Val and Naigtal.
  • Prepared for a Showdown: Complete the follow-up questlines in both Val and Naigtal.
  • A Hal'hadar Walks into a Swamp: Complete the follow-up quests in Naigtal.
  • Climate Strange: Naigtal: Dissipate 5 storms by completing bonus objectives in Naigtal.
  • Showdown Slugger: Naigtal: Kill 6 rare creatures in Naigtal. Required to unlock the Arsenal: Lightforged Armaments for purchase.
  • Showdown Success: Naigtal: Complete 8 different world quests in Naigtal. Unlocks the Silento battle pet for purchase.
• Heroic Showdowns: Complete the following Heroic World Tier achievements in Showdown zones. Unlocks the Tortured Gorger mount for purchase.
  • Heroic: Worlds Ahead: Complete 15 different World Quests in Val or Naigtal on Heroic World Tier.
  • Heroic: Power Creep: Defeat creatures in Val or Naigtal empowered by at least 10 different affixes.
  • Heroic: Pain of Command: Defeat both Imperator Pertinax in Val and Nexus-Captain Leth'ir in Naigtal on Heroic World Tier.
  • Heroic Climate Strange: Val: Dissipate 5 storms by completing bonus objectives in Val, in Heroic World Tier.
  • Heroic Climate Strange: Naigtal: Dissipate 5 storms by completing bonus objectives in Naigtal, in Heroic World Tier.
  • Heroic Slugger: Kill 15 different rare creatures in Val or Naigtal in Heroic World Tier.

In addition to these, you can get one addition Battle Pet via achievements: The Frosticus Maximus requires the achievement Ultradon Carnage, which requires killing 100 enemies while doing the Val world quest Until it is Done.
