The Midnight expansion provides a variety of max-level World Events that rotate regularly offering a range of rewards. This page provides a concise overview of each event, explaining how they work and what to expect.

1.

Introduction

World Events in the Midnight expansion are activities you can complete around the open world for rewards, typically on a weekly schedule. They are available when you reach maximum level. Some may be gated behind additional Renown requirements.

2.

Abundance

Abundance events spawn in select caverns in each of the four Midnight zones, and rotate locations every 8 hours. Once at an Abundance cave, speaking with Dundun, the Loa of Abundance, begins the event.

Once you have begun an Abundance event, you are granted only 3 minutes to loot as much treasure as possible from the cave around you; you may loot mobs and mine from Abundance nodes to do so. However, your carrying capacity is quite limited, so you must routinely return to Dundun with your haul. Your speed and carrying capacity increase the more you loot.

Using a Shard of Dundun Icon Shard of Dundun Empowers your Abundance run, earning you Unalloyed Abundance Icon Unalloyed Abundance when you complete the event. Unalloyed Abundance is tradable to Chel the Chip, who spawns outside active Abundance caves. You can purchase transmog, profession knowledge items, and housing decor. You can collect up to 8 Shards of Dundun per week from outdoor activities, gathering, and Patron Crafting Orders.

The Weekly Quest, Weekly: Abundance, requires that you earn 20,000 total points in Abundance events, and rewards Overflowing Abundant Satchel Icon Overflowing Abundant Satchel, and 1,000 reputation with the Amani Tribe.

Salheril's Soiree

Saltheril's Soiree is a weekly event in Eversong Woods, though it requires a short quest chain to open. You will find the introductory quest, Saltheril's Haven, in Silvermoon City. Upon reaching Saltheril, you will need to complete Honored Guests, and High Esteem before the event is unlocked.

Once you have unlocked the Soiree, you have four different subfactions to choose from: the Magisters, Blood Knights, Farstriders and Shades of the Row. Each faction has 6 reputation ranks requiring 500 total reputation per rank. Every week, you will be tasked with choosing a subfaction to represent at the Soiree. Your quests and actions that week CAN hurt your standing with other subfactions, so choose carefully!

Saltheril's Soiree begins with two Weekly Quests, but progressing through the faction levels can unlock more. The quest Fortify the Runestones grants a pinnacle chest, Surplus Bag of Party Favors Icon Surplus Bag of Party Favors, containing 150 Brimming Arcana Icon Brimming Arcana, 300 reputation with your chosen subfaction, and 2,000 Silvermoon Court reputation. The other quest, Favor of the Court, rewards 3 Saltheril's Favor Icon Saltheril's Favor, which is used to unlock new weeklies with the subfaction of your choosing.

Brimming Arcana is a popular currency for the Blood Elves. Each subfaction's quartermaster offers an impressive array of cosmetics, housing decor, and crafting recipes in exchange for Brimming Arcana, as does the Silvermoon Court quartermaster.
