The War Within Paladin Specializations
Holy Paladin
Holy Paladins are plate-wearing healers who specialise in strong single target healing, and burst healing on demand. They get in on the action playing with the other Melee DPS and use melee abilities as part of their healing rotation to generate Holy Power to fuel their healing abilities. Healing is a role that is necessary in any group content in the game.

Raid Popularity
Holy Paladins are a staple healer in any Raiding roster and always in demand! They bring consistent healing and their raid cooldown of Aura Mastery provides every player with Damage Reduction for hard hitting mechanics. They are also the only healer with access to an immunity with Divine Shield allowing them to trivialise mechanics or stand in dangerous mechanics to push out even more healing in critical moments.
Mythic+ Popularity
Holy Paladins excel at spot healing and their wide array of utility abilities through blessings. Blessing of Freedom allows them to remove any debuff that slows players, Blessing of Protection can remove bleed effects or even save a DPS that has done a bit too much damage and pulled threat from the tank! A well rounded healer that is a solid option for any group.
Protection Paladin
Protection Paladins are strong and durable Warriors of the Light. They both protect the group from oncoming threats by keeping enemies attacking them, but also have the wider paladin utility toolkit to support the group. With blessings at their disposal and potent single target healing spells to use on other players in danger they are a jack of all trades tank. Tanking is a demanding role but also very rewarding, when players come across a tank that they can trust they are always in demand.

Raid Popularity
Protection Paladins are an all rounder tank which can handle raid mechanics that other tanks cannot. As the only tank with an immunity ( Divine Shield) they can take mechanics that require multiple players to split the damage by themselves. They also are the only specialisation in the game with access to an external immunity ( Blessing of Spellwarding) which adds more flexibility to the raid team for dangerous encounters.
Mythic+ Popularity
Protection Paladins in Mythic+ not only have the perks of being a tank with a good damage output, they also have strong healing to use on other players in the group to save them from death. Protection Paladins also have a near endless supply of interrupts which are very valuable in Mythic+ dungeons with Rebuke, Avenger's Shield and Divine Toll as conventional interrupt abilities but also have access to Hammer of Justice and Blinding Light as further options.
Retribution Paladin
Retribution Paladins are front line fighters of the light with very strong burst DPS. A near constant supply of cooldowns for DPS and utility for the wider group. They can switch their focus easily between Single Target DPS or AoE DPS to fill any gaps from the group that you are playing with or the content that you are doing. They are very sturdy with self healing tools and an immunity with Divine Shield.

Raid Popularity
Retibution Paladins are a flexible DPS option. They perform excellently at what they are built to do. Does your raid team need more AoE? Do they need more Cleave? Do they need more Single Target? Retribution Paladins can fill that role. Retribution Paladins can also immune mechanics in raid with Divine Shield and give targets root immunity with Blessing of Freedom (while also giving it to themselves at the same time!).
Mythic+ Popularity
Retribution Paladins have strong burst DPS and always have some form of cooldown available to use on every pack of trash and bosses. You can expect consistent damage output playing as a Retribution Paladin and have all of the other Paladin utility for the group.
