This page covers the most important aspects of Cooking in Dragonflight, including talent builds and suggestions on how to make gold with the profession.

What is new in Cooking for Dragonflight Season 3

There are not really any notable new cooking recipes in Season 3, but due to the new influx of PvE content, it is expected that stat food prices and sales will skyrocket, which is of particular importance for group feasts such as Grand Banquet of the Kalu'ak Icon Grand Banquet of the Kalu'ak and individual food, such as the cheap Deviously Deviled Eggs Icon Deviously Deviled Eggs, whose recipe can be obtained from the Zskera Vaults.

Cooking in Dragonflight

Dragonflight introduces Crafting Specializations, but Cooking , unfortunately, does not have any, making it one of the simplest professions.

Best Class for Cooking in Dragonflight

Due to its high world material requirements, Cooking pairs well with farmer characters, such as Guardian Druid and Beast Mastery Hunter who have Skinning and will naturally be killing beasts that drop many of the materials needed. Characters dedicated to Fishing will also be able to help with Cooking materials.

It also goes well on Pandaren characters due to their high racial bonus and combat benefit of having double stat food bonuses, but for the most part, you will want to have it on whatever character(s) you play the most.

Dragonflight introduces a few new concepts to professions, which we delve deeper into in the specialized guide below:

Crafting Stats for Cooking in Dragonflight

Dragonflight introduces four new stats specific to crafting professions: Multicraft, Resourcefulness, Inspiration, and Crafting Speed.

We explain what each stat does and how to maximize them in the specialized guide below:

Cooking does not use Inspiration, but the other three stats are all strong in their own way. Since you might want to focus on specific stats for different playstyles, we go into detail with Cooking stats and the gear you can use to boost them in the specialized guide below:

Leveling Cooking in Dragonflight

The most important source of Cooking skill is your profession level, which is increased by performing difficult crafts. While leveling is generally straightforward, you should still take into account the racials of the character you are leveling on and any special recipes that can help you along the way, both of which are discussed in our specialized guide below:

Making Gold with Cooking in Dragonflight

Ideally, Cooking allows you to convert cheap meat and fish into expensive stat food, feasts, and fun food. Due to food's commodity nature it is very likely that the market will quickly get loaded with foods that are only marginally more expensive than the materials used to create them.

We have a specialized guide for Dragonflight gold-making below, which contains a gold-making tier list and goes deeper into techniques and habits for successful gold making, as well as websites and addons that can help you on your journey!
