Timewalking Hub: Quest Types, Rewards, & Individual Expansion Guides
This brief guide is an introduction to the Timewalking Weekly Event, including the currency awarded, the quests active during the event, and links to our own expansion-specific Timewalking guides.
What is Timewalking?
Timewalking is a reoccurring event where players can revisit and complete dungeons from previous expansions; each expansion's Timewalking event offers its own vendors, quests, and dungeons at a location-appropriate hub for that expansion. When a particular expansion is available as a Timewalking Weekly Event, players may queue for that expansion's dungeons through the Dungeon Finder, starting at level 10. Several expansions also offer Timewalking raids, though players may only queue for those through an NPC in the relevant Timewalking hub.
During a Timewalking week, killing relevant dungeon bosses, completing Timewalking dungeons, and turning in Timewalking-specific quests
all reward
Timewarped Badges, which can be spent on mounts, pets, transmog, weapons, and more.
Available Timewalking Expansions
There are currently 9 expansions available for Timewalking:
- Classic;
- Burning Crusade;
- Wrath of the Lich King;
- Cataclysm;
- Mists of Pandaria;
- Warlords of Draenor;
- Legion;
- Battle for Azeroth;
- Shadowlands NEW with 11.2.7.
Individual Expansion Guides
You can learn about each expansion's available Timewalking dungeons, hubs locations, and rewards in our individual Timewalking guides below:
Timewalking Quest Types
There are several different quest types available during Timewalking weeks, which make Timewalking an excellent way to level and gear alts! The most notable quest types are listed below:
Disturbance Quests
Disturbance Quests are only available if the Timewalking week includes a raid, and can be picked up from an NPC located at the
Timewalking hub in the expansion-relevant city. Turning in a Disturbance Quest rewards a
Cache of Timewarped Treasures, which contains
Timewarped Badges and other items appropriate to the raid, including gear, pets, and even raid mounts!
The first Disturbance Quest your account completes will also reward 500 badges, with each subsequent completion rewarding 300 badges.
Path Quests
Path Quests are offered to max level characters as a standard weekly activity. You can pick up your Path Quest from Archivist Frithrun in Dornogal (right across from the inn).
Reputation Bonuses
Alongside earning Timewarped Badges for mounts, cosmetics, gear, and more, Timewalking also boosts reputation gains for the relevant expansion. While an expansion's Timewalking week is active, players gain a 50% bonus to all relevant reputation gains earned from quests and kills.
Turbulent Timeways
Turbulent Timeways is a Timewalking-adjacent event that takes place across multiple weeks; instead of Timewalking weeks cycling normally with other Weekly Events, when Turbulent Timeways occur, each week is a new Timewalking week for the duration of the event.
During Turbulent Timeways, the Item Level of gear rewarded from the weekly Path Quest is increased. Additionally, if you complete consecutive Timewalking Dungeons, you will gain a stacking experience bonus. If you maintain this bonus for the duration of the Turbulent Timeways event, you are rewarded with an exclusive achievement and a mount.
