World of Warcraft 15-year Anniversary Event Guide: Get your Obsidian Worldbreaker Mount!

November 2019 marks the 15th anniversary of World of Warcraft, and in this guide, you are going to learn more about rewards pertaining to the event and how to claim them before the anniversary celebration concludes.

The event lasts for two months. Below are the exact start/end dates for each region:

  • November 5, 2019 - January 7, 2020 (The Americas);
  • November 6, 2019 - January 8, 2020 (Europe);
  • November 7 ,2019 - January 9, 2020 (Asia).

Rewards

Everyone who logs in during the event period will receive an Anniversary Gift in the mail, which includes:

Both the Obsidian Worldbreaker Icon Obsidian Worldbreaker and Lil' Nefarian Icon Lil' Nefarian rewards can be previewed in the video linked below.

You can also earn a faction-specific mount by doing the Korrak's Revenge Battleground. The Alliance mount is Stormpike Battle Ram Icon Stormpike Battle Ram and the Horde equivalent is Frostwolf Snarler Icon Frostwolf Snarler.

Items from previous anniversary celebrations can be purchased from Historian Ma'di located in Caverns of Time (51, 42).

Memories of Azeroth Raid

A special version of the Raid Finder consisting of three wings with bosses from Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King, and Cataclysm, is available to all players of item level 380 or higher.

You must defeat the following three bosses in each wing to claim rewards:

  • Burning Crusade (Wing 1): Kael'thas Sunstrider, Lady Vashj, Archimonde;
  • Wrath of the Lich King (Wing 2): Heigan the Unclean, Anub'arak, The Lich King;
  • Cataclysm Bosses (Wing 3): Cho'gall, Nefarian, Ragnaros.

Rare Mounts

The following rare mounts have a small chance to drop from bosses in the raid as Personal Loot for the duration of the event, so do not forget to repeat the run on your alts for an increased chance to get them:

Talk to Chromie, accept the How Things "Really" Happened... quest and queue up for the individual wings. The quest rewards 500 Timewarped Badge Icon Timewarped Badges granted that you have defeated all nine bosses.

You will also receive the Memories of Fel, Frost and Fire Icon Memories of Fel, Frost and Fire achievement, which rewards the Obsidian Worldbreaker Icon Obsidian Worldbreaker mount inspired by Deathwing.

Korrak's Revenge

Korrak's Revenge, is a throwback Battleground inspired by the earliest day of Alterac Valley and is available for the duration of the event, allowing players to earn faction-specific mounts.

Simply, press "H" and queue up for Korrak's Revenge to get started and visit the Classic version of Alterac Valley.

Do not forget to pick up the Soldier of Time quest from Chromie before queueing up for the Battleground. In order to complete the quest, you must earn 500 Honor in Korrak's Revenge to get 400 Timewarped Badge Icon Timewarped Badges and 10 Mark of Honor Icon Mark of Honor.

The meta-achievement of the Battleground is Alterac Valley of Olde Icon Alterac Valley of Olde and you can get it by collecting 200 Timewarped Badge Icon Timewarped Badges, completing quests, and participating in Korrak's Revenge.

Focus on collecting tokens from enemy corpses to summon mighty reinforcements and help your team claim victory.

The Alterac Valley of Olde Icon Alterac Valley of Olde achievement rewards faction-themed mounts.

Alliance players will receive Stormpike Battle Ram Icon Stormpike Battle Ram.

Horde players will get Frostwolf Snarler Icon Frostwolf Snarler.

Korrak's Revenge is a great way to quickly level your alts at level 60 and above for the duration of the event.

Timewalking Vendors

For the duration of the event, you can purchase items of up to item level 380 from Timewalking vendors located in Hillsbrad Foothills for Mark of Honor Icon Mark of Honor and Timewarped Badge Icon Timewarped Badges.

The Alliance Timewalking vendor is Time-Displaced Thanthaldis Snowgleam and you can find him in Hillsbrad Foothills (45, 46).

You must first complete the Korrak the Bloodrager quest in Classic Alterac to purchase the following weapons from him:
