The Midnight Patch 12.1.5 Guide (Features and Content Overview)

Last Updated: Oct 12, 2026 - 3:56 AM (today)

The following guide covers everything you need to know about Midnight Patch 12.1.5 and its features.

1.

Introduction

Midnight Season 2's mid-season update, Patch 12.1.5, releases the week of October 13, 2026. We will welcome the final update in the story of Quel'Thalas and Zul'Aman, finally bringing their tensions to a tenuous close! In this patch, we will also gain another slight boost to player power, conquer a single-boss raid, and explore the very first Labyrinth Mega-Delve, in addition to the regular slew of changes.

Read on to learn about all that Midnight Patch 12.1.5 has to offer.

2.

New One-Boss Raid: The Unbinding of Kith'ix

Team up with Lady Liadrin to hunt down the newly-unchained C'Thraxxi general, Kith'ix, buried deep under the Coiled Isle below even Ula'tek's chamber in the Venomous Abyss. Destroying Kith'ix, the Amani's most ancient foe, will play a part in brokering an uneasy peace between Quel'Thalas and Zul'Aman. "The Promise of Tomorrow" campaign chapter brings that storyline to a close at long last.

Kith'ix offers a challenge for every skill level, from Story Mode difficulty all the way up to Mythic. Much like Rotmire, and later Nymrissa Wavecaller, The Unbinding of Kith'ix will also offer flex raid options, even in Mythic difficulty.

3.

The Labyrinth of Kindo'jan

Delvers rejoice, as delves cubed arrive in the form of the first Labyrinth, a mega delve-style experience with 9 full wings to clear and a multitude of fresh secrets to uncover.

The Labyrinth of Kindo'jan is an ancient Amani funeral complex, sealed away from greedy looters for centuries. Finally unsealed once more, it is now reopened and exposed to looters and Vilebranch trolls alike. Explore a wing at a time, or tackle the full maze for a far richer treasure room! You may even find 12.1.5's Delve Nemesis boss, Kindo'Jan himself, waiting for you at the end.

The Labyrinth system arrives with new progression systems and a dedicated Renown track; it even promises rewards matching the sheer scale of its challenge, like 1/6 Myth items.

4.

Aqir Invasions

For ten minutes every hour, players will face a series of public events across Eversong Woods or Zul'Aman, culminating in an intense boss fight against a powerful Aqir enemy. Join forces with familiar NPCs and players alike to push back the Aqiri armies pouring into Azeroth.

5.

Season 2 Gear Refresh

Orin Straylight is a mysterious cloaked figure in Silvermoon City who began offering players one extra Nebulous Voidcore Icon Nebulous Voidcore bonus roll the week of October 6. After completing the Voidcore questline, beginning with In the Catalyst's Shadow from Decimus in Voidstorm, and ending with Umbral Blessings of the Catalyst, players can trade gold, Voidlight Marl Icon Voidlight Marl, or Veteran Mistcrest Icon Veteran Mistcrests to Orin for an extra Nebulous Voidcore Icon Nebulous Voidcore per week.

As servers come up on October 20, Orin will offer Ascending with Venomstones, allowing players to further empower their gear with Ascendant Venomstone Icon Ascendant Venomstones. Acquire these stones from endgame content and use them near the Silvermoon City Catalyst to raise the item level of a fully-upgraded Season 2 Hero, Myth, or maxiumum- quality crafted weapon, trinket, or necklace.

The existing crest cap will also be lifted on October 20.

Additional Content Updates

There have also been a variety of other updates to numerous game content and systems in Patch 12.1.5, from Housing to further Interface improvements

6.1.

Achievements

A new Mythic+ dungeon achievement has been added: Midnight Keystone Myth: Season 2 Icon Midnight Keystone Myth: Season 2.

The achievements Snake Eyes Icon Snake Eyes, Snake Eater Icon Snake Eater, and Good Night, Sweet Prince Icon Good Night, Sweet Prince are no longer required to complete Glory of the Wartorn Hero Icon Glory of the Wartorn Hero.

6.2.

Housing Adjustments

6.2.1.

UI Updates and Endeavors

  • You can now use keybinds to go up and down floors in Floorplan Edit Mode (default is Page Up/Page Down);
  • There is now a shortcut to get to your Blueprints collection from the Housing Controls Blueprint button.

Public Neighborhoods can no longer get the same Endeavor back-to-back.

6.2.2.

Blueprints

  • Stairwells will now export any stairwell rooms that are vertically connected. Importing a stairwell blueprint will connect it to an existing room from the top or bottom floor of the blueprint (your choice), if it does not collide with other rooms.
  • The Blueprint Contents List UI no longer includes dyes if they already match the requirements, and instead only includes dyes that will be applied via consuming dye items.
  • Dye tooltips in Customization Mode now clarify which Dye Item is used to apply that dye.
  • You can now access your Blueprints Collection directly from the Blueprint control button at the top of the screen in your house or plot.
  • More clarifying text and tooltips have been added to the Blueprints collection UIs.
6.3.

Prey

The Prey Renown track now has catch-up mechanics to increase renown gains. Players below rank 4 will receive 4000 Journey progress (a full rank) per hunt, which will take precedence over, and does not trigger, Journey progress earned from the first four hunts of the week. Players between ranks 4 and 9 will receive 2000 Journey progress from each of their first four hunts a week.

Afflicted Soul and Tormented Soul Icon Tormented Soul can no longer be used while a hunt is active.

6.4.

User Interface and Accessibility

As promised, Blizzard continues to work on their base game interface. Patch 12.1.5 brings with it a handful of new customization options and positioning changes:

  • Added player coordinates below the minimap; customization options include an option to disable these and an option to display them as integers or decimals.
  • Added an option to display "ants" (the animated dash border) around raid frames when a unit has a dispellable buff or debuff.
  • Added an option to make the raid frame dispel overlay animate with a pulsing alpha effect for further clarity.
  • Pinging a macro now shows information from #showtooltip in the ping alert.
  • Added a new setting called "Pulse Your Health" under the Combat Audio Alerts section of Audio Assist:
    1. This setting allows players to specify a health percentage below which a looping audio cue will be played.
    2. The audio cue grows progressively more aggressive as health drops further below the specified threshold.
  • Preview settings on the Trading Post UI, like "Combat Animations," will now remember the player's choice when swapping between items.
6.5.

Warband

Legion and Battle for Azeroth reputations are now shared across the Warband.

6.6.
