World of Warcraft: Midnight Delve Guides
Kindo'jan is the exclusive nemesis boss for the Labyrinth of Kindo'jan mega-delve in Midnight Season 2 Patch 12.1.5. He is inaccessible until players have completed a full run of his Labyrinth, clearing all 9 wings in one session.
Finding Kindo'jan
Kindo'Jan is the final boss in Midnight 12.1.5's mega-delve system, the Labyrinth of Kindo'jan. The Labyrinth itself is located just north of the Amani Pass, nestled in the mountains bordering Eversong Woods.
Labyrinth of Kindo'jan Entrance Coordinates
However, unlike other Nemesis Delve bosses thus far in Midnight, Kindo'jan is not just sitting in his delve awaiting heroes. Instead, players must fully complete the Labyrinth of Kindo'jan before they are able to face its master.
Accessing Kindo'jan
The Labyrinth has 9 chambers that must all be cleared on Tier 8 or higher before Kindo'jan's room in the far north of Akil'zon's Roost, the Speaker's Chamber, is accessible. However, once the player has opened his chamber for the first time, it is then permanently unlocked. If the player wishes to fight Kindo'jan again in future weeks, they will only need to clear the initial Chamber of Rites, choose either the left path through Halazzi's Lair or the right path through The Cave Towers, and clear Akil'zon's Roost to reach Kindo'jan again.
Boss Difficulty
While Kindo'jan's difficulty scaling does not follow the same notation as previous nemesis bosses, the difficulty tiers of the Labyrinth that houses him remains fairly consistent with other delve content; it is likely that defeating Kindo'jan on Delve Rank 11 is akin to doing the other Nemesis bosses on "??" difficulty, while defeating Kindo'jan on Delve Ranks 8-10 would be similar to "?" difficulty.
The delve entry screen recommends players be 290 minimum item level for Labyrinth of Kindo'jan Rank 8, and recommends players be 309 minimum item level for Labyrinth of Kindo'jan Rank 11. Thus, players who have been doing Mythic or even Heroic Venomous Abyss content are likely more than prepared to face down Kindo'jan in Patch 12.1.5.
Kindo'jan Strategy
Upon entering the Speaker's Chamber, you will first encounter Den'Zara, and must defeat her before facing down Kindo'jan himself.
Kindo'jan has a set 10 minute enrage timer, as well as an additional, and much
more difficult limitation:
Disgraceful Display. If you fail 3
avoidable mechanics during the fight, you are one-shot immediately, regardless of
health pool.
While the enrage timer hanging over your head may feel especially daunting, remember that the Labyrinth has its own progression and renown system, and blesses its fans with a number of zone-specific buffs! If you have done a full clear (and you must have, to reach Kindo'jan) you will certainly have access to some of these power-ups.
To ensure you are making the best use out of your Labyrinth power-ups and your Valeera skills, visit our guides below before taking on Kindo'jan himself:
Phase 1
Kindo'Jan will initially use the following abilities in this set order for the first minute and half:
Eruption of Mojo (dodge the circles!)
- This is Kindo'jan's favorite mechanic, and it is quite easy to handle. Dodge!
- Do not stand in the BIG mojo circle, as it will ROOT you for 5 seconds.
- You will drop a
Erratic Mojo puddle at the end of each
Eruption of Mojo. - Ensure you are dropping your puddles safely and conserving space.
Hash'ey's Command (Adds)
- Kindo'jan summons 4 Amani Headhunter mobs around the platform.
- These adds will repeatedly cast
Axe Barrage, spawning additional circles.
Axe Barrage does not trigger
Disgraceful Display, but is annoying.- You do not HAVE to kill the adds, but do so if you worry about survivability.
Whirling Axes (Spinning AoE)
- Four circles of spinning axes that travel around the platform.
- These axes take an arc from their point of origin; dodge!
Crushing Blow (Slam and Add)
- Kindo'jan will cast a huge slam in melee range, which is easy enough to avoid.
- This spell also summons an Amani Juggernaught who is extremely dangerous!
- The Amani Juggernaught cannot be crowd controlled, and will immediately
attempt to knock you off the platform with
Phalanx Charge. - The Juggernaut will also cast
Amani Aegis, which is a shield on all its allies. - On the PTR,
Amani Aegis could sometimes be interrupted,
but unsure if this is intended. - Stand near the center of the platform and prioritize this add!
Intermission
After 1:30, Kindo'jan will call upon ghostly loa speakers to channel the powers of their loa:
De Rising Storm (Akil'zon)
- Ahn'Joli evokes the avatar of Akil'zon, summoning a ghostly eagle spirit.
- The spirit will send pulses of wind out from the center of the platform.
- Stand in the small pizza slices without wind!
Gambit in de Shadows (Halazzi)
- Zen'Toka calls forth four Shadow of Halazzi around Valeera.
- Identify which Shadow is the TRUE one with the targeting reticle attached to Valeera; this is the line you will soak to save her.
- Failing to identify the correct Shadow will incapacitate Valeera.
Ursine Rampage (Nalorakk)
- Bindu evokes the spirit of Nalorakk, summoning lines of bears on the edges of the platform.
- Identify the gaps in each line.
- Take care not to be hit, or you will be knocked off!
Cleansing Flame (Jan'alai)
- Rotahn will call forth two spirits of Jan'alai, placing its sigils on the floor.
- Valeera will immediately ping the sigil she plans to soak; quickly take the other.
Phase 2
When the four loa speakers have finished their rituals, Kindo'jan returns to the
fight, entering Phase 2. He will now cast his abilities in a random order, AND call upon
the loa speakers at random as well. Pay careful attention here, as you can come across
some nasty overlaps! In particular, Kindo'jan loves to pair
Crushing Blow
and
Cleansing Flame; you will be handling the knockbacks from the Amani Juggernaught
and must immediately rush to soak the
Cleansing Flame sigil!
Once you have entered Phase 2, you will just need to watch for overlaps and play carefully to secure your Kindo'Jan kill!
Higher-Tier Changes
The fight does not change significantly on Delve Difficulty 9-11. As expected, Kindo'jan deals more damage and has more health. You will likely encounter several more Phase 2 overlaps as you work up the difficulty levels, but the mechanics of the fight do not change.
