1.

World Bosses in Midnight

Midnight currently contains five world bosses that you can defeat. The newly introduced one in patch 12.1 is Nymrissa Wavecaller, who works a little differently, as she is instanced and has four scaling difficulties. This is a new system called Lairs, and is supposed to replace traditional World Bosses, by turning them into instanced content with multiple difficulty levels, and a flexible raid size of 15 to 25 players.

Nymrissa as the first of hopefully many Lair bosses, will be available to defeat once a week on each difficulty for a variety of loot and gear. The other four world bosses from Midnight's launch remain on a fixed rotation, meaning only one spawns each week. Each of those will drop Item Level 246 Warbound-until-equipped gear. You can easily tell if a boss is active, by looking for a world quest on the map marked with a Skull Icon.

2.

Nymrissa Wavecaller

Nymrissa Wavecaller is a Blizzard's new take on world bosses, called Lairs. Located within her own instance, there will be four difficulties available: World, Normal, Heroic, and Mythic.

Each difficulty will reward gear appropriate to the level of challenge, ranging from Veteran at World difficulty up to Myth at Mythic difficulty.

Nymrissa Wavecaller

The Tidebound Grotto is located at 60.0,66.0 on The Coiled Isle, at the bottom of a large body of water. There is a summoning stone available to summon allies before entering the instance.

Tidebound Grotto Location

With World difficulty selected, you are thrown into the instance while other players join around you. You can clear trash while the instance fills up to 40 players. Once the trash is cleared, the boss will spawn, and you can take her on.

For other difficulties, a premade group will be required before zoning into the instance. Normal/Heroic supports 10 to 30 players, while Mythic supports 15 to 25 players. The group leader must select the difficulty and enter the instance first before the rest of the group can zone in.
