Prey is an optional hunting system that lets you pursue powerful foes across the Midnight expansion zones for gear and various cosmetic rewards. This guide will go over all of the rewards you can earn through this system. Want to see how Prey works? Check out our Prey Guide below!

There are three vendors for cosmetic rewards for the Prey system, Construct Ali'a the decor vendor, Construct V'anore the rewards vendor, and Construct E'nui. They are all located in Astalor's Sanctum where you pick up new hunts. Construct E'nui was added to give sell previous season rewards if you did not pick them up before.

Prey offers lots of rewards within the system, some player power focused and some cosmetic focused. The types of things you can earn are as follows:

• Housing Decor
• Toys
• Professions Recipes
• Achievements

An alternative or supplement to Delves for solo players that can provide rewarding gear. In addition to repeatable gear you can earn from going on hunts, each Prey hunt you go on will count towards the world tier of your Great Vault up to hero track gear! Below are the tracks of gear you can earn from each difficulty of Prey:

• Normal: Repeatable Adventurer gear from hunts, Veteran gear from the great vault.
• Hard: Repeatable Veteran gear from hunts, Champion gear from the great vault.
• Nightmare: Repeatable Champion gear from hunts, Hero gear from the great vault.

As of 12.1 you can earn additional piece of gear each week with Afflicted Soul and Tormented Soul. Each of these drop from bountiful delves at tier 6 and above once unlocked at Preyhunter's Journey Rank 4 and Rank 9 respectfully.

Using one of these items will instantly reveal the location of your next Nightmare Difficulty prey hunt, and award an additional piece of loot. The Afflicted Souls will award a Champion level piece of loot, the Tormented Souls will award a Hero level piece of loot.

There are a few cosmetic drops from Ral'kala, a summonable mini-boss on The Coiled Isle. All of these items have a chance to drop each time you defeat him. To learn how to summon him, check out the prey guide linked at the top of this page.

The last mount, Preyseeker’s Nightmare, is earned by killing each Prey boss on Nightmare difficulty. It’s a super cool mana-wyrm recolor that players can aspire to earn!

As with most things in World of Warcraft Midnight, Prey gives players some decor to furnish their player houses. The only decor from Prey currently are trophies of many of the different bosses you can hunt down. These are perfect to adorn and remember all the difficult hunts you went over the course of Midnight! Each boss has a "Bust",earned from hard difficulty hunts, and an "Effigy", earned from nightmare difficulty hunts. The decor will show the boss in a red hue, the Effigy is just a bit more decorated to show off you killed the boss on Nightmare difficulty.

These decor items are given to you the first time by completing the associated achievement. Each achievement is to kill 1 of 2 bosses of a theme. For example completing a hunt for either Mordril Shadowfell or Deliah Gloomsong on hard difficulty will give you Prey: A Different Kind of Void (Hard), rewarding you with Preyseeker's Ren'dorei Bust to place in your home. If you would like more copies of any of this Decor you can pick it up at the vendors in Astalor's Sanctum.

Achievements that give rewards are covered in previous sections of this guide. The most notable one is Prey: Nightmare Mode III which awards a mana wyrm mount. Other achievements that give rewards are all related to housing decor above. There are of course many achievements that only give achievement points for interacting with the system.
