Earthen Allied Race Guide
Find out how to unlock the Earthen Allied Race in World of Warcraft!
Introduction
The Earthen are a new playable race arriving in the War Within. They are ancient denizens freshly freed from the edicts that bound them. The intro scenario takes place at the Halls of Awakening, and they start at Level 10.
Playable Classes
The following classes are available to the Earthen Allied Race:
- Hunter;
- Mage;
- Monk;
- Paladin;
- Priest;
- Rogue;
- Shaman;
- Warlock;
- Warrior.
Unlock Requirements
Allied Races: Earthen (Hidden Character Achievement) is the hidden achievement that lists all the steps necessary to make them playable in World of Warcraft:
- Level-Up Campaign — You must reach Level 80 and complete the War Within level-up campaign. There are 3 chapters per zone, for a total of 12 chapters.
- The War Within — Completion of the War Within max-level campaign. You must complete 5 chapters up to and including The Machines March to War.
- Completion of the Mourning Side side quest in Isle of Dorn. This questline starts with Before I Depart at 61, 42, in the Isle of Dorn.
- Completion of the Broken Tools side quest in the Ringing Deeps. This quest starts at 48, 33 with Discarded and Broken.
- Completion of the Hope, An Anomaly side quest in Isle of Dorn, started at Hreka at 42, 71.
Racial Abilities
The Earthen come with their set of racials traits and abilities:
- Azerite Surge — Draw upon your inner strength. Release
to invoke the power of Azerite to harm your foes and aid your allies.
Empowering has the following effects:
- I. Deals Fire damage.
- II. Heals allies hit by the effect.
- I. Deals additional fire damage to the highest-health enemy hit by the effect.
- Hyper Productive (Passive) — Increase Finesse by 25. Finesse increases the chance of gathering additional materials.
- Ingest Minerals (Passive) — You are always Well Fed, but
cannot consume food. Consuming a Khaz Algar gem changes the benefit
granted to you by Well Fed.
- Amber: Stamina;
- Emerald: Haste;
- Onyx: Mastery;
- Ruby: Critical Strike;
- Saphire: Versatility;
- Titan-Wrought Frame (Passive) — Base armor from equipped items is increased by 10%.
- Wide-Eyed Wonder (Passive) — When you gain experience from exploring a location, gain 200% additional exploration experience.
Racial Mount
The Earthen mount is the Slatestone Ramolith. You will get it upon earning the Allied Races: Earthenachievement. The mount can be used by any character and is available account-wide.
Paladin Mount
Earthen Ordinant's Ramolith is the Paladin class mount of the Earthen race.
Customization Options
Many unique options are available for the Earthen Allied Race, including gem encrustations, unique beards for all body types, vibrant skin colors, and more. We list them all here:
- Gem Color;
- Left Shoulder (Gem Style);
- Right Shoulder (Gem Style);
- Arms;
- Hands;
- Torso;
- Belt;
- Legs.
Aside from those, the race comes with standard customizations, including skin color, face, hairstyle, hair color, beard style, eyebrows, eye color, and eyesight.
Heritage Armor and Mounts
When you reach Level 50 with your Earthen, you will automatically receive the Heritage of the Earthen achievement and the Earthen Heritage Armor. The armor can only be transmogged by Earthen characters.
Three tints of the Heritage Armor Set are available to the Earthen: Dornogal, Freywold, and Gundargaz.

Home
Dornogal, located at the Isle of Dorn, is the main home of the Earthen Allied Race. The town is verdant and seemingly carved from the land.
Conclusion
The Earthen are a great choice for players who would like to save some gold on raid consumables via Ingest Minerals and many Professions will benefit from additional gathering materials from Hyper Productive.
