Mechanic Breakdown (Normal/Heroic)
1.1.
Phase 1 (Boss):
- Everyone should stay within the centre area of the room (in front of the boss) as walls will spawn on the left and right side as this Phase goes on.
- The first mechanic of the fight will be
Primordial Roar where the raid
will be pulled towards the boss and then knocked back. This is a lot of damage
so the raid should be stacked together to help the Healers. - For the rest of the phase the boss will cast
Shadowclaw Slam every ~10-15 seconds. - After a Slam has been soaked by the tank expanding
Aftershock rings will
appear from the soak area. Run into a safe area of the ring to avoid taking damage.
- Tank Mechanics:
Shadowclaw Slam needs to be soaked by at least 1 player. This 1 player
is a Tank.- The first two soaks will apply
Smashed increasing physical damage taken
and spawning a wall. All hits after the first two do not apply this debuff. - Therefore Tank A should soak the first two hits and use major defensive cooldowns on the second hit and Tank B will soak the rest.
- On the next Phase 1 cycle it will be Tank B soaking the first 2 and Tank A soaking the rest.
1.2.
Intermission (Adds):
- Several players will have Blistercreep Adds fixate on them.
- The non active tank is always fixated. For consistency you can have this person either go left or be a floater and fix any sides that have too few adds on them as the tank is always fixated last.
- These players should run towards the walls on the left and right of the room. Once an add has been killed it will explode.
- An explosion will destroy the wall allowing you to deal with the
Void Breath beam. - Look at the hands of Vorasius. If the right hand is glowing you will need to run to the edge of the room on the left to avoid being hit and vice versa.
1.3.
Heroic Changes:
- Intermission:
- Two Blistercreep explosions are required to destroy a wall.

Quick TLDR Guide
1.4.
Phase 1:
- Tanks: Soak
Shadowclaw Slam (One tank taking the first 2 hits and the other tank taking the rest). - Avoid
Aftershock rings. - Stay in the centre area of the room.
1.5.
Intermission:
- Bring Blistercreep adds to walls and kill them.
- Look at what hand the boss is casting
Void Breath from and run to the
opposite side. If its coming from your right, go left.

Mythic Changes and Tips
- Boss Phase:
- There are no changes of note for this part of the encounter.
- To keep things easier for your healers you should all play in melee range and move into the tank circle after the tank has soaked it.
- Intermission Changes:
- Three Blistercreep explosions are required to destroy a wall. With there being 7 adds in total this means that you can miss a maximum of 1.
- A good general strategy is to have Groups 1 and 2 move to the left wall and Groups 3 and 4 move to the right wall.
- If your raid has two death knights put one of them on each side.
- The adds need to be destroyed on the wall rather than near the wall. A good rule to follow is that you run to the wall and then move up or down the wall so the add pushes itself against the wall.
- If you ever need to dodge a mechanic such as the
Aftershock or add explosions. Move up or down the wall. Do not move towards the middle of the room. - You want to have the adds you want to kill clumped up and as far back as possible. The below images serve as a good reference point for where they should be killed.
- When any add dies it leaves behind a permanent pool that grows over time. Therefore, if you misplace one closer to the boss on the first intermission all of your remaining space might be done for the second intermission.
- It is also advisable to use personal defensive cooldowns as a raid when the first set of 3 adds are killed as they deal raid wide damage.
- If you have been fixated during the first intermission, you will not be fixated in the second intermission. If people die this may change. Knowing this can lead to players being more focused on helping with add management (or ranged DPS can just stand in the middle if they know they will not get fixated).
