Lightblinded Vanguard Raid Guide in The Voidspire for Midnight Season 1

The Lightblinded Vanguard are the fifth boss encounter in The Voidspire, a 6-boss raid that is part of the three raids available in Season 1 of Midnight.

Mechanic Breakdown (Normal/Heroic)

1.1.

Fight Mechanics:

  • Throughout the entire fight:
    1. Light Infused Icon Light Infused will tick damage on the entire raid throughout the fight.
    2. Avenger's Shield Icon Avenger's Shield will create circles around players and deal damage to everyone inside of that area. These players need to spread out.
    3. Tyr's Wrath Icon Tyr's Wrath will apply a healing absorb to the three closest targets. Rotate who these people are throughout the fight.
    4. Pay attention to when the bosses have either Avenging Wrath Icon Avenging Wrath (increased damage done and taken) or Divine Shield Icon Divine Shield (immune to damage).
  • General Bellamy (Protection Paladin) - 100 Energy:
    1. Aura of Devotion Icon Aura of Devotion will reduce damage taken for all bosses within 40 yards by 75%. Keep them away on their own to allow the raid to keep up their DPS.
    2. Divine Toll Icon Divine Toll will create waves of Shields that will travel across the room. Being hit by any of these will deal a large amount of damage and silence the player if they survive.
  • Commander Venel Lightblood (Retribution Paladin) - 100 Energy:
    1. Aura of Wrath Icon Aura of Wrath will increase the damage done by all bosses within 40 yards by 100% for 15 seconds. Keep them on their own so only their abilities are empowered.
    2. Execution Sentence Icon Execution Sentence will target four players who will need other players to soak damage with them. These players will need to spread away from each other as after the Execution Sentence lands several Divine Hammers will spin from their location and spin across the room.
  • War Chaplain Senn (Holy Paladin) - 100 Energy:
    1. Aura of Peace Icon Aura of Peace will buff all other bosses within 40 yards. If any are in the radius and attacked the player who attacked the boss will be Pacified (cannot attack or cast) for a few seconds.
    2. Senn will start tto cast Blinding Light Icon Blinding Light and protect themselves with Sacred Shield Icon Sacred Shield. You will need to break the absorb shield and interrupt the boss to not wipe.
  • Tank Mechanics:
    1. All three bosses have a threat table and must be tanked. Only two of them perform the Judgment and Spender Tank Combo.
    2. After Judgment Icon Judgment / Judgment Icon Judgment perform a tank swap to prevent the damage aplification effect from impacting Final Verdict Icon Final Verdict (Venel) / Shield of the Righteous Icon Shield of the Righteous (Bellamy).
    3. When one of the bosses is close to 100 Energy drag it out to the edge of the room.
    4. It is a fixed order on which boss will get to 100 Energy. Bellamy > Venel > Senn.

Heroic Changes:

  • All Bosses:
    1. When any boss finshes their 100 Energy ability cycle they will put a permanent Consecration on the ground creating area denial.

Phase 1:

  • Spread out with Avenger's Shield Icon Avenger's Shield.
  • When Avenging Wrath Icon Avenging Wrath is active focus that boss as they take increased damage. Likewise when Divine Shield Icon Divine Shield is active on a boss do not attack them (they are immune).
  • Tanks: Swap after Judgment casts to prevent the follow up ability from killing your co tank.
  • Tanks: When a boss is about to reach 100 Energy. Drag it to the edge of the room.
  • Handle the 100 Energy Abilities correctly:
    1. Bellamy (1st and 4th): Avoid being hit by Divine Toll Icon Divine Toll shields.
    2. Venel (2nd and 5th): Spread out with Execution Sentence Icon Execution Sentence and soak them. Avoid the Hammers afterwards.
    3. Senn (3rd and 6th): Single Target focus the boss to break the Sacred Shield Icon Sacred Shield and interrupt Blinding Light Icon Blinding Light.
