This page will cover everything you need to know about the Blinding Vale Dungeon in Midnight Season 2, including strategies for events, trash, and bosses.
The Blinding Vale
This guide will focus on an extensive overview of the dungeon, providing vital information
to complete it across all difficulties (Normal,
Heroic,
and
Mythic). We will cover all 4 boss fights supported by the most
notable trash enemies in the dungeon and their important abilities.
If you would like to learn about the rest of the dungeons in Midnight Mythic+ Season 2, please see our overview linked below. Otherwise, without further ado, let us begin!
Lightblossom Trinity and Trash Mobs
Notable Trash before Lightblossom Trinity
- Interrupt Lightgorged Lasher's
Lightbloom Pollination. - IMPORTANT: Radiant Spellsower is the most important caster in this dungeon,
you want to make sure you stop all of the
Light Bolt Volley casts and any spare
interrupts to be used for
Light Bolt. When it drops to low HP, it will automatically
start walking to the nearby Lasher camp to wake them up with
Frantic Blooming.
You slow her down and kill her before she reaches the camp! - Underbrush Stalker will apply
Thornblade stackable
Bleed
onto random party members, so pay attention to how many of those are present in each pack! - Make sure you don't get knocked away in a bad position from the Virid Grovekeeper's
Uproot cast. - Use your major defensives during Sporeblight Belcher's
Spouting Floret
as it will deal massive damage to your group. Dodge the follow-up
Belch Spores ground puddles.
Lightblossom Trinity Boss Guide
All Roles
- Make sure to soak the Lightblossoms that appear to stop them from getting stacks of
Light-Gorged from
Lightblossom Beam. - Avoid green swirling puddles on the ground called
Fertile Loam. - Interrupt
Light Bolt from Kezkitt when possible.
Tank
- Use your active mitigation during
Bedrock Slam cast. - Always try to stack the bosses together to allow your party to have better cleave potential.
Healer
- Watch out for
Thornblade as it will put a nasty bleed on a random player. - Use your major healing cooldowns during the
Bedrock Slam cast,
as there will be a party-wide damage over time.
Ikuzz the Light Hunter Boss Guide
All Roles
- Avoid being rooted by the
Bloodthorn Roots that swarm over the arena.
If rooted, you can either kill them or use an ability that clears root effects. - Beware the edges when Ikuzz uses
Verdant Stomp as it will knock you back. - Players will periodically be targeted by Ikuzz's
Bloodthirsty Gaze;
keep your distance and try to guide him through roots to help clear the boss arena.
If he reaches you, you will take massive amounts of damage and be stunned for 5 seconds. - Use your personal defensives when the boss casts
Thorncaller Roar.
Tank
- Make sure you have Ikuzz the Light Hunter close to anyone with active
Bloodthorn Roots
so your party can effectively cleave them.
Healer
- Consider saving your major healing cooldowns during
Lightcrazed Frenzy
phase, triggered once the boss reaches 50% until its death. This will be a huge
Rot test for you, especially when he casts
Thorncaller Roar.
Lightwarden Ruia and Trash Mobs
Notable Trash before Lightwarden Ruia
- Dodge the incoming
Solar Breath frontal from Luminous Thornmaw. - Interrupt Lightfeather Petalwing's
Disorienting Screech. - Sidestep the
Hunting Leap frontal from the jumpy Thorny Saptor.
Lightwarden Ruia Boss Guide
This powerful druid of the Haranir will swap between his Moonkin and Bear forms
throughout the fight. Watch out for when he reaches 40% health, as
he will channel
Spirits of the Vale, casting all his spells in a flurry
until he is defeated.
All Roles
Pulverizing Strikes will launch a cone attack at a few targets,
noted by a red arrow above their head. Make sure to be spread for this mechanic.- Make sure to give your party room when
Lightfire expires,
as it will spawn beams that silence any players caught in their path. - Interrupt
Warden's Wrath during Ruia's Moonkin form when possible. - Avoid the circles on the ground when
Lightfall is cast.
Tank
- Be mindful as during Bear form, Lightwarden Ruia will do
more damage to you due to
Mangling Claws aura.
Healer
- Heal up any targets afflicted with
Grievous Thrash to full,
as the
Bleed
will stack and not be removed until the target is healed to full health.
Ziekket and Trash Mobs
Notable Trash before Ziekket
- Potatoad Matriarch will occasionally spawn 3
Toadspawn,
if you don't kill them quick enough, it will
Hatch the smallies which will
add additional difficulty for the group. Aim to dispel as many
Toxic Spew
Poisons as you can. - Use defensives if Overgrown Hydra targets you with
Lightmaw Beams
and dodge the
Bullet Seeds ground puddles.
Ziekket Boss Guide
All Roles
- Ziekket will periodically summon
Awaken the Lightbloom; your goal
is to swiftly kill them and interrupt/stop as many casts from them as you can. - If targeted by
Concentrated Lightbeam, position yourself so that
it will hit the corpses of the Lashers you have killed to prevent them from respawning.
Just make sure you stay away from the
Lightsap ground effect afterwards. - Soak
Lightbloom's Essence orbs to increase your healing (it stacks), although
be mindful that the more stacks you have, the more damage you will take and the more damage/healing
you will do. If they reach Ziekket instead,
the boss will get a shield and deal AoE damage to all players.
Tank
- Use your active mitigation during
Thornspike cast. - Group up Lashers quickly to help your group kill them.
Healer
- Ziekket pulses dealing AoE damage throughout the fight with
Oozing Xylem.
Use healing cooldowns as necessary to keep the group alive. - Spot-heal party members with high stacks of
Lightbloom's Essence buff.
