This page will cover everything you need to know about the Blinding Vale Dungeon in Midnight Season 2, including strategies for events, trash, and bosses.

The Blinding Vale

This guide will focus on an extensive overview of the dungeon, providing vital information to complete it across all difficulties (Normal, HeroicHeroic, and MythicMythic). We will cover all 4 boss fights supported by the most notable trash enemies in the dungeon and their important abilities.

Lightblossom Trinity and Trash Mobs

2.1.

Notable Trash before Lightblossom Trinity

  • Interrupt Lightgorged Lasher's Lightbloom Pollination Icon Lightbloom Pollination.
  • IMPORTANT: Radiant Spellsower is the most important caster in this dungeon, you want to make sure you stop all of the Light Bolt Volley Icon Light Bolt Volley casts and any spare interrupts to be used for Light Bolt Icon Light Bolt. When it drops to low HP, it will automatically start walking to the nearby Lasher camp to wake them up with Frantic Blooming Icon Frantic Blooming. You slow her down and kill her before she reaches the camp!
  • Underbrush Stalker will apply Thornblade Icon Thornblade stackable BleedBleed onto random party members, so pay attention to how many of those are present in each pack!
  • Make sure you don't get knocked away in a bad position from the Virid Grovekeeper's Uproot Icon Uproot cast.
  • Use your major defensives during Sporeblight Belcher's Spouting Floret Icon Spouting Floret as it will deal massive damage to your group. Dodge the follow-up Belch Spores Icon Belch Spores ground puddles.
2.2.

Lightblossom Trinity Boss Guide

2.3.

All Roles

  • Make sure to soak the Lightblossoms that appear to stop them from getting stacks of Light-Gorged Icon Light-Gorged from Lightblossom Beam Icon Lightblossom Beam.
  • Avoid green swirling puddles on the ground called Fertile Loam Icon Fertile Loam.
  • Interrupt Light Bolt Icon Light Bolt from Kezkitt when possible.
2.4.

Tank

  • Use your active mitigation during Bedrock Slam Icon Bedrock Slam cast.
  • Always try to stack the bosses together to allow your party to have better cleave potential.
2.5.

Healer

  • Watch out for Thornblade Icon Thornblade as it will put a nasty bleed on a random player.
  • Use your major healing cooldowns during the Bedrock Slam Icon Bedrock Slam cast, as there will be a party-wide damage over time.
3.

Ikuzz the Light Hunter Boss Guide

3.1.

All Roles

  • Avoid being rooted by the Bloodthorn Roots Icon Bloodthorn Roots that swarm over the arena. If rooted, you can either kill them or use an ability that clears root effects.
  • Beware the edges when Ikuzz uses Verdant Stomp Icon Verdant Stomp as it will knock you back.
  • Players will periodically be targeted by Ikuzz's Bloodthirsty Gaze Icon Bloodthirsty Gaze; keep your distance and try to guide him through roots to help clear the boss arena. If he reaches you, you will take massive amounts of damage and be stunned for 5 seconds.
  • Use your personal defensives when the boss casts Thorncaller Roar Icon Thorncaller Roar.
3.2.

Tank

  • Make sure you have Ikuzz the Light Hunter close to anyone with active Bloodthorn Roots Icon Bloodthorn Roots so your party can effectively cleave them.
3.3.

Healer

  • Consider saving your major healing cooldowns during Lightcrazed Frenzy Icon Lightcrazed Frenzy phase, triggered once the boss reaches 50% until its death. This will be a huge Rot test for you, especially when he casts Thorncaller Roar Icon Thorncaller Roar.
4.

Lightwarden Ruia and Trash Mobs

4.1.

Notable Trash before Lightwarden Ruia

  • Dodge the incoming Solar Breath Icon Solar Breath frontal from Luminous Thornmaw.
  • Interrupt Lightfeather Petalwing's Disorienting Screech Icon Disorienting Screech.
  • Sidestep the Hunting Leap Icon Hunting Leap frontal from the jumpy Thorny Saptor.
4.2.

Lightwarden Ruia Boss Guide

This powerful druid of the Haranir will swap between his Moonkin and Bear forms throughout the fight. Watch out for when he reaches 40% health, as he will channel Spirits of the Vale Icon Spirits of the Vale, casting all his spells in a flurry until he is defeated.

4.3.

All Roles

  • Pulverizing Strikes Icon Pulverizing Strikes will launch a cone attack at a few targets, noted by a red arrow above their head. Make sure to be spread for this mechanic.
  • Make sure to give your party room when Lightfire Icon Lightfire expires, as it will spawn beams that silence any players caught in their path.
  • Interrupt Warden's Wrath Icon Warden's Wrath during Ruia's Moonkin form when possible.
  • Avoid the circles on the ground when Lightfall Icon Lightfall is cast.
4.4.

Tank

  • Be mindful as during Bear form, Lightwarden Ruia will do more damage to you due to Mangling Claws Icon Mangling Claws aura.
4.5.

Healer

  • Heal up any targets afflicted with Grievous Thrash Icon Grievous Thrash to full, as the BleedBleed will stack and not be removed until the target is healed to full health.
5.

Ziekket and Trash Mobs

5.1.

Notable Trash before Ziekket

  • Potatoad Matriarch will occasionally spawn 3 Toadspawn Icon Toadspawn, if you don't kill them quick enough, it will Hatch Icon Hatch the smallies which will add additional difficulty for the group. Aim to dispel as many Toxic Spew Icon Toxic Spew PoisonPoisons as you can.
  • Use defensives if Overgrown Hydra targets you with Lightmaw Beams Icon Lightmaw Beams and dodge the Bullet Seeds Icon Bullet Seeds ground puddles.

Ziekket Boss Guide

5.3.

All Roles

  • Ziekket will periodically summon Awaken the Lightbloom Icon Awaken the Lightbloom; your goal is to swiftly kill them and interrupt/stop as many casts from them as you can.
  • If targeted by Concentrated Lightbeam Icon Concentrated Lightbeam, position yourself so that it will hit the corpses of the Lashers you have killed to prevent them from respawning. Just make sure you stay away from the Lightsap Icon Lightsap ground effect afterwards.
  • Soak Lightbloom's Essence Icon Lightbloom's Essence orbs to increase your healing (it stacks), although be mindful that the more stacks you have, the more damage you will take and the more damage/healing you will do. If they reach Ziekket instead, the boss will get a shield and deal AoE damage to all players.
5.4.

Tank

  • Use your active mitigation during Thornspike Icon Thornspike cast.
  • Group up Lashers quickly to help your group kill them.
5.5.

Healer

  • Ziekket pulses dealing AoE damage throughout the fight with Oozing Xylem Icon Oozing Xylem. Use healing cooldowns as necessary to keep the group alive.
  • Spot-heal party members with high stacks of Lightbloom's Essence Icon Lightbloom's Essence buff.
