This page will cover everything you need to know about the Voidscar Arena Dungeon in Midnight Season 2, including strategies for events, trash, and bosses.
Voidscar Arena
This guide will focus on an extensive overview of the dungeon, providing vital information
to complete it across all difficulties (Normal,
Heroic,
and
Mythic). We will cover all 3 boss fights supported by the most
notable trash enemies in the dungeon and their important abilities.
If you would like to learn about the rest of the dungeons in Midnight Mythic+ Season 2, please see our overview linked below. Otherwise, without further ado, let us begin!
Taz'Rah and Trash Mobs
Notable Trash before Taz'Rah
Before starting the dungeon, you will be presented with a choice to go left or right side, both paths lead towards the boss; however, both roads have different mini-bosses at the end. As of now current tuning, we HIGH RECOMMEND to lead right, but in case you don't, here is what you should know about both mini-bosses awaiting you at the end of the tunnel:
- On the right side, upon defeating Raj'kess the Spellstorm, your party will be
granted
Proof of Mastery, a powerful dungeon-buff which will speed up the dungeon. - Dodge ethe
Raging Typhoon ground puddles. - Use defensives during
Thundering Storm, it will deal massive group-wide damage. - And focus the 3 spawning orbs as quickly as you can.
- On the left side, upon defeating Aegyra the Unyielding, your party will be
granted
Proof of Endurance, not-so-great dungeon-buff. - Break from the
Champion's Spear root quickly. - Sidestep the
Savage Smash. - Run away from the
Earthsplitter AoE ability and its
Aftershock
after effect.
- Feral Saberon will
Savage Leap on random players,
make sure to always be healthy! They also have
Feral Rage buff, which can
turn quite troublesome depending on the quantity of the mobs you play together. - Interrupt Dominated Brawler's
Demoralizing Shout
cast, otherwise the whole group will do less damage! - Sidestep the Lost Sethrak's
Venomous Spit. - IMPORTANT: Focus up the
Magma Totem spawn from Enthralled Shaman
as it will deal a decent chunk of damage. Any spare interrupts should be used
for their
Lava Bolt. - Interrupt the
Shadowbolt Volley coming from Voidtouched Magi
to prevent your team from taking group-wide damage. If you get targeted by
Null Eruption,
try to stay away from your teammates to avoid unnecessary damage. - Your tank must be cautious of the
Melt Armor from Sycophantic Tarasek
(can be dispelled). - Using your personal defensive when Chitigoth casts
Insidious Aura
and dodge its
Ravenous Swarm ground puddle. - Sidestep the Brutok's
Smashing Charge and try to squeeze as much
damage as possible during the short
Concussion windows (It occurs after
Smashing Charge). - Make sure you keep other mobs away from Protective Turtle's
Shell Guard
shield to avoid them taking reduced damage.
Taz'Rah Boss Guide
All Roles
- When you get targeted by
Nether Dash, try to be closer to each
other to better manage the afterwards
Umbral Rupture ground
puddles and their
Void Fissure ichor. - During
Dark Bloom, you must dodge
all of the incoming orbs to avoid lethal damage.
Tank
- Use your active mitigation when Taz'Rah casts
Void Blast
on you. - Start tanking the boss near one of the closer walls and rotate clockwise/counter-clockwise
for better space management (to avoid random
Void Fissure placements).
Healer
- Top-up people before each
Umbral Rupture cast.
Atroxus and Trash Mobs
Notable Trash before Atroxus
- Interrupt Kilivore Screamer's
Mad Shriek. - Your tank must be mindful when playing multiple Savage Shredclaw
due to their
Shred Defense. - When a player gets targeted by Watchful Harrower's
Sky Strike
stack and soak it to equally spread the damage. However, if they get targeted by
Void Beam, they should run away from any nearby party members. - IMPORTANT: When Brutal Overseer casts
Brutal Slams, focus
up the shield as it will progressively do massive group-wide damage that can wipe your team.
In addition, he will jump and cast
Macestorm on a random party member; all they
have to do is keep running to avoid damage. - If you have
Poison dispel, try to remove as many
Corrosive Essence
debuffs as you can coming from Agitated Voidscythe.
Atroxus Boss Guide
All Roles
- Dodge the ground
Poison Pool puddles during the
Poison Splash
channel to avoid getting damage and its follow-up
Mind-Numbing Poison. - Sidestep the
Noxious Breath frontal. - After each
Monstrous Roar, Atroxus will spawn
Toxic Creeper, your goal is to defeat it as quickly as you can to avoid
taking any group-wide damage from its
Toxic Aura.
Tank
- Use your active mitigation before each
Hulking Claw. Your healer
can dispel the follow-up
Poison effect. - Make sure to run away from Toxic Creeper and not let him melee you
under any circumstance to avoid certain death (
Sickening Bite will likely kill you). - If its possible try to have both the Toxic Creeper and Atroxus close to each other to allow your team to actively 2-target cleave.
Healer
- Use your major healing cooldowns during each Toxic Creeper spawn, the whole team
will take massive group-wide damage from its
Toxic Aura. - If you have any
Poison dispel, try to use it frequently to help your team.
Charonus and Trash Mobs
Notable Trash before Charonus
- Use defensives when Devouring Brutalizer is casting
Dreadbellow
as it goes group-wide damage. When he casts
Devour, make sure you focus
the mob he is about to eat to prevent him from healing himself by 50%.
Charonus Boss Guide
All Roles
- When Charonus casts
Unstable Singularity, position yourself
near the stars to avoid being "drawn" to them and accidentally enter inside one
(it will trigger a
Atomized follow-up effect which will make you unable to
damage & heal for a short period of time). - Have distance between each other to avoid clipping your party members when
Cosmic Crash occurs. - 3 Random players will be targeted by
Gravitic Orbs, your goal
is to enter the stars spawned by
Unstable Singularity and destroy them.
The longer you take to do it, the more damage you will take (thanks to the
Condensed Mass
debuff), so a common strategy here is to already pre-position to a close by star before the
Gravitic Orbs cast. - If you get targeted by
Void Cascade frontal, keep running to avoid
being hit by it.
Tank
- Use your active mitigation during each
Dark Waves tank buster frontal.
Make sure you don't hit anyone from your party with it! - Position Charonus in the middle of the 3 stars spawned
by
Unstable Singularity.
Healer
- Spot-heal people who has
Gravitic Orbs on them, especially the ones
that are too slow to clear; they will take massive damage from the
Condensed Mass
debuff.
