Liberation of Undermine Raid Builds, Tips, and Tricks for Frost Death Knight
Tips for Vexie Fullthrottle for Frost Death Knight
Defensive Tips
- You can use
Anti-Magic Shell before running through
Oil Slick to completely ignore the damage.
Cooldown Usage
- Use
Death and Decay to increase your cleave when the adds spawn.
- The boss takes 100% increased damage in the intermission, make sure that you
have all your cooldowns available for this part. This generally happens after 1.5 minutes
but make sure to hold your second
Frostwyrm's Fury if it gets delayed.
Mechanical Tips
- Use
Death Grip and
Abomination Limb to help group up the adds in the intermission.
Best Talents
We recommend Rider of the Apocalypse with
Shattering Blade here due to the
100% damage increase phase.
Be sure to make use of the 'Export Talents' button to import the build directly into your game!
Tips for Cauldron of Carnage for Frost Death Knight
Defensive Tips
- Use
Anti-Magic Zone during
Colossal Clash to help mitigate the damage dealt to the raid.
- You can use
Icebound Fortitude if you get stunned by
Static Charge.
Cooldown Usage
- There are two options for how to handle Cooldowns on this fight.
Either send everything ASAP or hold your second set until the first
Colossal Clash. There is not a clear winner between these two approaches so do what feels best for yourself.
Mechanical Tips
- Use
Chains of Ice,
Death Grip and
Blinding Sleet to help control the
Voltaic Image adds.
Best Talents
There are periods of stacked two-target cleave but also a lot of movement. We therefore
recommend Shattering Blade for this encounter.
Be sure to make use of the 'Export Talents' button to import the build directly into your game!
Tips for Rik Reverb for Frost Death Knight
Defensive Tips
- Use
Anti-Magic Zone during the intermission to help mitigate the raid damage.
Cooldown Usage
- Use
Death and Decay to help cleave on Pyrotechnics adds.
- Try and hit as many Pyrotechnics as possible with your
Frostwyrm's Fury abiliy.
Mechanical Tips
- You can use
Lichborne to break the charm from
Resonant Echoes.
Best Talents
Rik spawns spread add that need to be cleaved down. We recommend Shattering Blade
for this encounter.

Tips for Stix Bunkjunker for Frost Death Knight
Defensive Tips
- Use
Anti-Magic Zone if one of the bombs explode.
Cooldown Usage
- Use on Cooldown.
Mechanical Tips
- Use
Death Grip and
Abomination Limb to help group up the adds that spawn. Remember that only certain adds can be gripped!
Best Talents
A heavy cleave fight with periods of forced downtime (when you are running with the ball). This
has a negative impact on Breath of Sindragosa as you might get cancelled at the start of a Breath.
We therefore recommend
Shattering Blade. Breath is viable still on the fight due to the heavy cleave.
Be sure to make use of the 'Export Talents' button to import the build directly into your game!
Tips for Sprocketmonger Lockenstock for Frost Death Knight
Defensive Tips
- Use
Anti-Magic Zone either during
Bleeding Edge or for one of the tank explosions.
Cooldown Usage
- Use on Cooldown.
Mechanical Tips
- Use
Death's Advance to immune the conveyor belt push effect.
- Position yourself to get knocked to the location that the boss jumps to for the first big knockback.
Best Talents
A pure Single Target fight with relatively large amount of movement. This favours Shattering Blade
which is more flexible when it comes to downtime.
Be sure to make use of the 'Export Talents' button to import the build directly into your game!
Tips for One-Armed Bandit for Frost Death Knight
Defensive Tips
- You can use
Anti-Magic Shell before running through the electric AoE on the ground to completely avoid taking damage. This is useful if the tank leaves the electricity on the spot where the boss jumps to!
Cooldown Usage
- Use on Cooldown.
Mechanical Tips
- You can use
Icebound Fortitude if you get stunned by the Coin. This is great since it means that you can aim for the
High Roller! buff more aggressively.
Best Talents
We recommend Rider of the Apocalypse with
Shattering Blade on this fight!
Be sure to make use of the 'Export Talents' button to import the build directly into your game!
Tips for Mug'Zee for Frost Death Knight
Defensive Tips
- You can use
Anti-Magic Shell to immune the DoT from blowing up bombs.
Cooldown Usage
- Use on Cooldown but make sure you have
Frostwyrm's Fury for
Bloodlust in the final phase.
Mechanical Tips
- You cannot cleave to the Goons that spawn when they are in their stone prisons. However, when the prisons are broken, you can cleave again.
Best Talents
We recommend Shattering Blade with
Rider of the Apocalypse due to its superior Single Target damage.
Be sure to make use of the 'Export Talents' button to import the build directly into your game!
Tips for Chrome King Gallywix for Frost Death Knight
Defensive Tips
- Use
Anti-Magic Shell for the fall-off AoE in the final phase.
Cooldown Usage
- Use on cooldown.
Mechanical Tips
- When the adds spawn, always make sure to cleave off one of them to the boss.
With how hitboxes work, your
Obliterate will not hit the adds if your primary target is the boss. However, if you target an add it will cleave properly!
Best Talents
Be sure to make use of the 'Export Talents' button to import the build directly into your game!
General Offensive Cooldown Usage
Frost Death Knight has a few cooldowns to think about using optimally on the fights in Liberation of Undermine:
Pillar of Frost - Our 45 seconds cooldown window.
Frostwyrm's Fury - Either 1.5min or 3min cooldown used for big AoE burst with
Deathbringer or with
Pillar of Frost when playing
Rider of the Apocalypse.
Breath of Sindragosa - When picked, huge cleave Cooldown generally used every 2min15sec.
Empower Rune Weapon - 2 minute cooldown that is timed with
Pillar of Frost at the 2min15sec mark.
Make sure to use your cooldowns as much as possible unless certain adds or DPS phases allow you to get more value out of them. This is typically something you will want to discuss with your Raidleader or the rest of the raid in static groups, while PUGs are more freeform than that.
General Defensive Cooldown Usage
Anti-Magic Shell,
Icebound Fortitude and
Lichborne
are your main personal defensive spells. Use these when you are targeted by
mechanics, or when the raid is taking damage to help mitigate it.
Anti-Magic Zone
is our raid defensive cooldown that you should coordinate with your group for when to use it.
Finally,
Death Grip can be used as a defensive since the boss takes less damage
when you grip it through
Subduing Grasp.
