The Midnight Patch 12.0.7 Guide (Features and Content Overview)
The following guide covers everything you need to know about Midnight Patch 12.0.7 and its features.
Introduction
Prepare for yet another step forward into the Midnight campaign, adventurers! Midnight's second content patch 12.0.7, Revelations, releases the week of June 16, 2026. In this patch, we will gain a new boost to player power, explore two new zones, conquer another one-boss raid, work our way through an all-new Heroic World Tier, and much more!
Read on to learn about all that Midnight Patch 12.0.7 has to offer.
The Omnium Folio and Its Runes
Team up with Magister Umbric and Grand Magister Rommath to restore the mysterious Sunstrider Omnium. This ancient Sunstrider relic has reawakened, much to the dismay of the Magisters.
After controlling and gaining access to the Omnium itself, you will be entrusted with the Omnium Folio. This tome, containing powerful battle runes, will follow you throughout Midnight. Weekly activities will imbue new runes and bolster your initial picks against the Void forces we now face.
While the Folio is a new source of borrowed power this expansion, it is not tied to a gear slot, resolving the issues players often face with finding the best time to replace high-end gear with the new borrowed power item. The runes themselves are mostly passive, and are obtained and further strengthened by your typical weekly activities.
New Zones
Revisit the idea of resolving invasions on rotating worlds, first introduced in Legion, with Patch 12.0.7's Showdown Zones. Creep between towering mushrooms in the fungal, arcane-infested world of Naigtal, now overrun by ethereals, or struggle to survive in the frozen wastelands of Val; face new World Quests, rares, events, and two new World Bosses. The portals to each world, in addition to the challenges presented in the worlds themselves, rotate weekly.
Alongside these new zones, collect new pets and achievements, and complete two
special meta achievements for the
Voidmancer's Starcarver and
Netherforged Nullframe.
Heroic World Tier
Assist Decimus (yes, him again!) by killing off the powerful leaders in each Showdown Area in order to unlock the new Heroic World Tier. Recommended for Item Level 274 and up, the zones will now be full of elite patrols, rotating creature affixes, and additional Elite mob spawns. Heroic World Tier will reward low-stakes Myth-track gear: Cloaks, Belts, and Bracers.
The Midnight Campaign Continues
In the newest chapter of the Midnight campaign, Zul'jan attends a special haranir gathering as the Amani Troll representative. His attendance at this event will throw Zul'jan, his uncle Kinduru, and the player into an ancient mystery about the Amani Trolls' legacy.
This questline begins July 7, and will lead directly into the 12.1 campaign.
New Raid: Sporefall
In a move much celebrated by smaller guilds and stressed raid leaders everywhere, Midnight Patch 12.0.7 brings a new, fully flex single boss raid: Sporefall, with its massive fungal giant boss, Rotmire. Every difficulty of this raid can flex from 15 to 25 players!
Sporefall is located in Harandar, and, like other Midnight Season 1 raids, is counted as the same tier. However, this raid drops Sporefused gear; a Mythic Sporefused piece, for example, is natively the same Item Level (298) as an Ascendant Voidcore-empowered Myth 6/6 item.
Rotmire will also drop a new cosmetic hat, new housing decor, two new toys,
and excitingly, will reward the
Luminous Sporeglider mount after the player
has killed him for 4 weeks.
Turbulent Timeways and Dragonflight Timewalking
A new Turbulent Timeways begins June 30, and will bring back previous
Turbulent Timeways mounts like the
Timely Buzzbee, the
Chrono Corsair,
or the four Shadowlands-themed mount options from the previous iteration of this
event.
Additionally, Dragonflight is the newest expansion to return via Timewalking!
Revisit the Ruby Life Pools, Halls of Infusion, Brackenhide Hollow, and other
classic Dragonflight dungeons. Purchase Dragonflight reputation-themed cosmetics
like the
Khan's Ceremonial Crossbow, or get your hands on the new goodest boy,
the
Black-Furred Bakar
Jan'alai Egg Hatching
Join Loa Speaker Brek in welcoming the Fire Loa Jan'alai's first new clutch of eggs into the world with this short but adorably heartfelt questline in Zul'Aman. Your patience and careful babysitting will be rewarded by a sweet new companion, Emberlyn.
Darkspear Dash
Darkspear Dash is a new micro-holiday coming to World of Warcraft this June 2026. Inspired by Running of the Trolls, a much-beloved community fundraising event organized by Warcraft Cares, Darkspear Dash is a celebration of individuality for Pride Month using colorful Troll characters.
It appears that players may be able to obtain a new holiday-specific tabard, a new title, a toy, and a collection of fun, celebratory limited duration items.
The Darkspear Dash micro-holiday begins June 27 and ends June 29.
Additional Content Updates
There have also been a variety of other updates to numerous game content and systems in Patch 12.0.7, from Housing to further Interface improvements.
Housing Updates
Builders everywhere will celebrate to hear that with the release of Patch 12.0.7, lighting can now be placed outside, though it will face some extra restrictions that are not present for indoor placements.
Additionally, over 100 new Common decor items have been added to current Neighborhood vendors.
Finally, Exterior Decor limits have been raised! Houses at Level 5 and Level 6 now have an Exterior Decor limit of 300, while houses at Level 7 and above now have an Exterior Decor limit of 350.
Ritual Site Updates
Ritual Sites have been updated to reflect the influx of some higher-Item Level
gear in Patch 12.0.7. You can now complete Tier 6 Ritual Sites for Item Level
270+ gear. Tier 6 includes 6 total challenges, however, it does reward
Myth Dawncrests,
officially becoming an ideal solo, repeatable source for these crests.
Maren Silverwing will sell slot-specific Heroic gear caches for 750
Field Accolades.

Miscellaneous Changes
With this patch, Blizzard has drastically increased the amount of experience earned from completing the following activities:

- Midnight dungeon quests;
- Prey quests;

In response to some strange disparities between the number of Glowing Moths
some players collected and the amount of
Luminous Dust they received in return,
Blizzard has also reworked Harandar's Moth Hunt feature, adjusting the way this
treasure gives rewards. Note that players will not lose existing progress
on their moth collection.
The changes are as follows:
- Glowing Moths no longer give
Luminous Dust upon collection.
Luminous Dust has been removed from players' bags. - Mothkeeper Wew'tam no longer sells items for
Luminous Dust. - Mothkeeper Wew'tam now offers a quest for players to receive a reward for every 10 moths gathered per account. These quests are only available for players who have reached the collection requirements for the specific reward.
- Mothkeeper Wew'tam still sells extra copies of decor after you have received your first copy.
- Mothkeeper Wew'tam has dialogue options explaining the rewards for different moth thresholds.
- Mothkeeper Wew'tam has a display bar to show collection progress.
