What To Do Before Midnight Launch

The War Within is quickly coming to an end, and there are several achievements going away with the arrival of the Midnight Pre-Patch on January 20. Check this list twice before these achivements become Feats of Strength!

Introduction

As we say goodbye to The War Within, many achievements, mounts, and events are also either leaving the game, becoming more difficult to get, or moving into Feats of Strength. Use this list to keep track of all the achievements you are still missing from your collection.

Changed Rewards and Achievements At Midnight's Release

Click each button to view information on what will be unavailable with Pre-Patch and Midnight's release.

Leaving on January 20, 2026 Leaving on March 2, 2026

Unavailable after Midnight Pre-Patch: January 20, 2026

The following achievements will be unavailable upon the release of Midnight's Pre-Patch on January 20:

Ahead of the Curve: Dimensius, the All-Devouring becomes a Feat of Strength, but the Heroic mount, Royal Voidwing, will still be obtainable.
Cutting Edge: Dimensius, the All-Devouring becomes a Feat of Strength, but the Mythic mount, Unbound Star-Eater, will still be obtainable.
Mythic+ leaderboards will be locked on January 19, 10:00 pm PST for NA and January 20, 22:00 CET for EU. All players with ratings qualifying for the 0.1% achievement and title, "The Unbound Hero", will be recorded at that time. Titles will be rewarded in the following weeks.
The War Within Season 3 for PvP will end on January 19, 10:00 pm PST for NA and January 20, 22:00 CET for EU. After this point, it will no longer be possible to obtain seasonal rewards, titles, or rankings. The following titles will be rewarded in the weeks after the season finishes:
1. Astral Gladiator: The War Within Season 3 will be awarded to players within the top 0.1% of the 3v3 arena ladder, rewarding the title, "Astral Gladiator."
2. Astral Legend: The War Within Season 3 will be awarded to players who end the season in the top 0.1% of the Solo Shuffle ladder.
3. Astral Gladiator's Fel Bat will no longer be achievable.
4. The Arcane Weapon Illusion and The War Within Season 3 Elite Weapon and Transmog Sets will no longer be available.
5. The following titles will no longer be achievable: Combatant, Challenger, Rival, Duelist, and Gladiator.
Legion: Remix ends on January 20.

All Legion Remix Rewards

Unavailable after Midnight Launch: March 2, 2026

The following will be unobtainable or more difficult to achieve once Midnight releases on March 2:

Royal Voidwing, the Heroic Dimensius mount, will no longer be obtainable.
Unbound Star-Eater and other Mythic end-boss mounts from The War Within will now have significantly decreased drop rates.
Turbulent Timeways ends February 10; while the special voucher mounts from this event will eventually appear on the Timewalking Vendors during the next Turbulent Timeways, you may be waiting a long time for them if you do not acquire your favorite ones now.
All War Within Season 3 Mythic+ achievements will no longer be obtainable, nor will the mounts Azure Void Flyer and Scarlet Void Flyer
The War Within Season 3 Delver's Journey will end on (or before, there has not been clear Blizzard communication on this) Midnight launch, removing the following achievements and rewards:
1. Let Her Solo Me;
2. My Stab-Happy Nemesis (rewards Hal'hadar's Phasebound Visor cosmetic helm);
3. Let Me Solo Her: Nexus-Princess Ky'veza (rewards the Delver's Mana-Skimmer Schematic: Hyperdrive);
4. Pruning the Princess (rewards the "Contract Killer" title);
5. Completing all The War Within Delves on Tier 11 in Season 3 rewards the "High Explorer" title.
The revamped Horrific Visions achievements, Mad World, and Through the Looking Glass will likely no longer be achievable.

Preparing Your Leveling Kit

When you've checked the important achievements off your To-Do List, here is a list of consumables you may find useful for your Midnight leveling push, especially if you're leveling an under-geared character:

Darkmoon Top Hats;
Cloak of Coordination (for quick teleports if your Hearthstone is on CD);
Banner of Cooperation, Standard of Unity, and Battle Standard of Coordination to drop during big pulls;
Elusive Blasphemite for the movement speed;
Stock up on crafted jewelry and cheap BoEs (especially with sockets) to bolster your item level if needed;
Prep some stacks of consumables:
1. Algari Healing Potion;
2. Draconic Augment Rune;
3. Exquisitely Eviscerated Muscle;
4. Flask of Alchemical Chaos;
5. Tempered Potions;
6. Potion of the Reborn Cheetah: these are only very useful for out of combat moments, so they may be of limited usefulness in Midnight leveling; we're not sure yet!
7. Ironclaw Whetstone or Ironclaw Weightstone or Algari Mana Oil;
8. Gunshoes (situationally useful for brief bursts of speed);
9. XA-1000 Surface Skimmer;
10. Goblin Glider Kits;
