Classic Timewalking Event Guide in WoW: The War Within
Enjoy Vanilla-era dungeons with the Classic Timewalking Event! This event coincides with the 20th Anniversary Event of World of Warcraft and allows players to collect special rewards during the timeframe the event is available.
Introduction
Classic Timewalking is a weekly bonus event in World of Warcraft available for the first time during the Anniversary Event. It brings new dungeons to the rotation, a new reputation buff, and new rewards for you to chase, so let us dive in!
Timewalking Changes in Patch 11.0.5
Timewalking is available to all characters at Level 10 or above. Timewalking now scales to your level, eliminating the need to mix/max gear.
In Patch 11.0.5, Timewalking dungeons drop Item Level 567 (Explorer 4/8) gear, an upgrade from the non-upgradeable Item Level 554 gear.
Classic Reputation Buff
During Classic Timewalking Sign of the Past will increase Classic reputation gains from combat and quests by 50%, making it ideal to reach Exalted with many Vanilla factions!
Weekly Quest
An Original Path Through Time is a weekly quest offered by Bobadormu near the Caverns of Time entrance in Tanaris. The objective is to complete 5 Timewalking dungeons to receive a Cache of Dark Iron Treasures, containing a single piece of Item Level 597 gear and 3 Bronze Celebration Tokens, the anniversary event's main currency.
Classic Timewalking Raid?
During the 20th anniversary event, Classic Timewalking comes with the Blackrock Depths raid, but currently there are no hints for the raid to return in future Classic Timewalking events.
Classic Timewalking Dungeons
Although the dungeon rotation during Classic Timewalking features only Vanilla dungeons, only the Deadmines remains true to its original form. The other dungeons in the rotation are updated versions of the Classic dungeons. These dungeons are available during Classic Timewalking:
- The Deadmines
- Dire Maul East
- Dire Maul West
- Stratholme (Living)
