Burning Crusade Timewalking Guide: Dungeons, Raid, Vendor, & Rewards

Burning Crusade Timewalking is a recurring event where players can revisit and complete Timewalking versions of dungeons from the Burning Crusade expansion for Timewarped Badges, which can be spent on mounts, pets, transmog, weapons, and more. You will also be able to revisit one of the most iconic raids of World of Warcraft while it is active!

The Burning Crusade Timewalking hub is located in Shattrath City, where you'll find both Vormu and Cupri, the questgivers and vendors for this event. Look for the Timewalking icon on your map to locate them, or refer to the image below:

Like many of the older expansions' Timewalking events, Burning Crusade Timewalking offers both six TBC dungeons AND a TBC raid to explore. Players can queue up for the raid in Shattrath City by talking with Vormu.

Six dungeons from the Burning Crusade expansion have been brought back for Timewalking:

• The Blood Furnace
• The Botanica
• Mana-Tombs
• Magister's Terrace (BC version)
• The Shattered Halls
• The Underbog

When Burning Crusade Timewalking is available, players can queue for a Timewalking version of Black Temple and experience the full 9-boss raid in a Timewalking setting. Vormu offers the quest Disturbance Detected: Black Temple, asking players to kill Illidan Stormrage in Black Temple. Completing this quest will award Cache of Timewarped Treasures, which contains Timewarped Badges, a guaranteed piece of gear, and a chance at other raid-relevant items. For Burning Crusade Timewalking, this cache can even reward Ashes of Al'ar or Reins of the Infinite Timereaver, or any of the Black Temple-specific battle pets.

Here are the most notable Timewalking rewards you can buy from Cupri. Highlights include two mounts for 5,000 badges each, a pet for 2,200, and FOUR toys.

Of particular note in Black Temple Timewalking is the special transmog, Arsenal: The Warglaives of Azzinoth, which are a Demon Hunter ONLY account-wide transmog resembling the legendary Burning Crusade weapons, the Warglaives of Azzinoth. In order to obtain this exclusive transmog, you will need to ensure you do the following:

1. Have already obtained the Warglaives of Azzinoth achievement on ANY character on your account.
2. Kill Illidan Stormrage in Timewalking Black Temple on ANY character on that same account as above. You will then receive I'll Hold These For You Until You Get Out, and the exclusive transmog for your Demon Hunter.

Burning Crusade Timewalking week grants Sign of the Twisting Nether, which buffs reputation gains by 50% for all the following reputations:

• The Aldor or the Scryers;
• Cenarion Expedition;
• The Consortium;
• Honor Hold (Alliance) or Thrallmar (Horde);
• Kurenai (Alliance) or the Mag'har (Horde);
• Lower City;
• Netherwing;
• Ogri'la;
• The Scale of the Sands;
• The Sha'tar;
• Sha'tari Skyguard;
• Shattered Sun Offensive;
• Sporeggar;
• The Violet Eye.

While a number of these factions offer tabards, titles, old recipes, or unique transmog items at Exalted reputation, only a few reward mounts! The mount farms are what we will focus on for Timewalking weeks.

The Cenarion Expedition, located primarily in Zangarmarsh, is one of the two reputations required for the title, Guardian of Cenarius, as well as offering the Cenarion War Hippogryph mount at Exalted.

In order to efficiently farm Cenarion Expedition rep, you will want to use the following strategy:

1. Neutral to Honored:
   1. Kill Naga, particularly within the Slave Pens dungeon.
   2. Turn in Unidentified Plant Parts; save any Uncatalogued Species for turn-ins until AFTER Honored.
2. Honored to Revered:
   1. Do any Cenarion Expedition quests in Hellfire Peninsula, Zangarmarsh, Terokkar Forest, and Blade's Edge Mountains.
   2. Turn in your Uncatalogued Species.
   3. Head to Borean Tundra in Wrath of the Lich King content and complete the quest chain at the D.E.H.T.A. Encampment, starting with Happy as a Clam.
   4. Run the Zangarmarsh dungeons on Heroic.
3. Revered to Exalted:
   1. Complete any remaining questlines.
   2. Run Heroic Zangarmarsh dungeons.

The Kurenai (Alliance), and Mag'har (Horde) are located in Nagrand, at Telaar and Garadar, respectively. Achieving Exalted reputation with either faction grants access to 8 total mounts: Reins of the Cobalt War Talbuk, Reins of the Tan War Talbuk, Reins of the White War Talbuk, Reins of the Silver War Talbuk, and a corresponding "Riding Talbuk" of each color.

The reputation grind for either faction is quite simple, and is easily done through killing Kil'sorrow cult members, Warmaul and Ogrefist ogres, and Murkblood Broken, all found in Nagrand. Both factions will also accept Obsidian Warbeads in stacks of 10; these drop from Nagrand ogres.

The Kurenai also have a small quest hub in Zangarmarsh at Orebor Harborage. Completing these quests will be enough to push you into Neutral with them. Similarly, the Mag'har have a hidden hub in Hellfire Peninsula; their quest chain here begins with The Assassin.

The Netherwing reputation likely remains the most popular to farm during Burning Crusade Timewalking, as the reward, your very own Netherwing Drake mounts, remains a particularly unique mount to this day. Unfortunately, this rep grind can be quite the test of patience, but Sign of the Twisting Nether certainly makes it easier!

If you're gunning to complete your Netherwing rep farm purely during Timewalking week, here's what you'll need to know:

1. You will need 46 Netherwing Eggs to reach Exalted. The best place to farm these is by killing mobs in the Netherwing Mines (/way 65.29, 90.16).
2. Ideally, you want to collect your eggs BEFORE Timewalking week begins in order to avoid competition.
3. Begin the associated Netherwing questline, starting with Kindness, during Burning Crusade Timewalking week.

The Sha'tari Skyguard are a branch of the Sha'tar of Shattrath City, though this faction can primarily be found in the hills of Terokkar, battling arakkoa. Upon reaching Exalted, you can purchase Purple Riding Nether Ray and its matching pet, Nether Ray Fry.

While there is a second Sha'tari Skyguard outpost near Ogri'la in Blade's Edge Mountains, you will find that sticking around Terokkar and killing arakkoa is easily your fastest farming method during Timewalking week.

Killing arakkoa mobs within Skettis will grant you reputation regardless of your current standing, and World of Shadows is also a repeatable quest; Shadow Dust is also purchasable on the Auction House, so if you prefer to spend gold rather than invest time into farming rep, this is another option.
