Mechanic Breakdown (Normal/Heroic) Quick Guide Mythic Changes and Tips
1.1.

Mechanic Breakdown (Normal/Heroic)

In this section of the guide, we will break down each individual mechanic of the fight and provide recommendations on how to deal with them, either individually or as a raid group.

1.1.1.

Main Phase

Vexhul and Ithraz do not share health and should be defeated at the same time.

  • Eternal Venom Icon Eternal Venom (Permanent Debuff)
    1. Several mechanics apply permanent stacks of Eternal Venom Icon Eternal Venom.
    2. Soaking Ravenous Feast Icon Ravenous Feast will remove a stack of Eternal Venom Icon Eternal Venom per hit.
    3. Heroic: Players are instantly killed upon reaching 10 stacks.
  • Tank Mechanics
    1. Stay in melee range at all times. Even if adds are up.
    2. Taunt swap after each Stone Breaker Icon Stone Breaker set.
1.1.2.

Vexhul Mechanics

  • Caustic Deluge Icon Caustic Deluge (Pushback Beam On Tank)
    1. The active tank will be pushed back and needs to stay in range of the boss.
    2. While the tank is being pushed Caustic Globule Icon Caustic Globules will spawn nearby. If players are in the impact location of them they will gain a stack of Eternal Venom Icon Eternal Venom.
    3. Once formed the Caustic Globule Icon Caustic Globules should be soaked by players with a low number of Eternal Venom Icon Eternal Venom stacks.
    4. Avoid collecting multiple nearby orbs accidentally unless your current Eternal Venom Icon Eternal Venom count allows it.
  • Venomous Emergence Icon Venomous Emergence (Adds In The Centre)
    1. Three Spawn of Vexhul appear together in the centre of the room. They will apply 1 stack of Eternal Venom Icon Eternal Venom to the entire raid.
    2. DPS: These are the DPS priority when they are active.
    3. They will repeatedly cast Corrosive Spit Icon Corrosive Spit at players which creates a beam. Any players hit will gain an Eternal Venom Icon Eternal Venom stack.
    4. Targeted Players: Take 1 second to reposition yourself and then plant until the Corrosive Spit Icon Corrosive Spit goes off. Let people avoid your beam.
  • Stir the Depths Icon Stir the Depths (Waves)
    1. Waves will slowly travel from one side of the arena to the other. Getting hit by a wave will apply a stack of Eternal Venom Icon Eternal Venom.
    2. Make a mental note of where the waves are coming from as you can get distracted and get surprised.
    3. Avoid the waves to not gain unnecessary stacks.
1.1.3.

Ithraz Mechanics

  • Tanks Stone Breaker Icon Stone Breaker (Tank Soaks)
    1. The tank will be knocked back and three soak zones will appear in a sequence.
    2. Stand in the first one that spawns immediately and pay attention to the order of the next two.
    3. Get hit by all 3 of these zones to avoid massive raid damage and taunt swap.
  • Coiling Ichor Icon Coiling Ichor (Drop Pool On Edges)
    1. Several players in the raid will get this debuff and need to move to the edge of the platform.
    2. When the debuff expires a permanent Congealed Gore Icon Congealed Gore pool will spawn.
    3. The circles around the players will shrink over time meaning they can move closer without overlapping them to save more space.
  • Ravenous Feast Icon Ravenous Feast (Split Soak)
    1. Ithraz performs three consecutive group split damage soaks, with each hit removing one stack of Eternal Venom Icon Eternal Venom from the players hit and knocking them back.
    2. Position with the knockback in mind and avoid being knocked into bad areas.
    3. Heroic: Each hit applies Feasted Icon Feasted, meaning that players can only soak one of the three hits. Therefore three teams are required to split the damage.
1.1.4.

Intermission

  • Submerge Icon Submerge (Boss Repositioning)
    1. Both bosses submerge after two repetitions of the main-phase mechanic sequence, beginning an intermission focused on movement and survival.
    2. Move away from the bosses as they submerge and avoid the venom impacts that land around the arena.
    3. Maintain as much usable space as possible while preparing to dodge the overlapping attacks from both bosses.
  • Vile Flood Icon Vile Flood (Rotating Beam)
    1. Vexhul channels a wide beam that rotates around the platform and repeatedly applies Eternal Venom Icon Eternal Venom to players caught inside it.
    2. Watch the orbs rotating around Vexhul before the cast to identify which direction the beam will travel.
    3. Prioritise moving safely with the rotating beam rather than finishing any remaining adds.
    4. Important Note: The beam will always start on the tank that has Vexhul. Therefore the raid can move in the opposite direction of the tank to skip the beam.
  • Sanguine Storm Icon Sanguine Storm (Avoid Ground AoE)
    1. Ithraz will repeatedly launch Vile Flood Icon Vile Floods at the raid.
    2. Watch the ground and sidestep each impact while continuing to move in the correct direction around the rotating beam.
    3. Heroic: Getting hit by a Congealed Gore Icon Congealed Gore pool will reduce movement speed by 60% making more more likely to be hit by the beam.

The boss will Enrage after three phases, roughly 8 minutes into the fight. By this point you will no longer have any space in the room.
