The War Within Early Access and Expansion Launch Guide: Launch Times, Content, and More

The following guide is dedicated to the War Within Early Access, available to players who pre-purchased the Epic Edition of the expansion, and the Global Launch, that starts on August 26, 2024.

The War Within Early Access starts on August 22 at 3 PM PDT. Here are the launch times for other regions:

Blizzard has shared an infographic highlighting all the content available in the War Within ranging from Early Access to Season 1 starting on September 10.

The following features come in Early Access:

• New Story — You can level up your characters in Khaz Algar to Level 80.
• Normal Difficulty and Follower Dungeons — You can get non-upgradeable item level 554 gear in Normal Difficulty and Follower Dungeons!
• Hero Talents — At Level 71, you will unlock your first Hero talent!
• Delves — Tiers 1-3 unlock during Early Access!
• New World Events — The War Within world events will become available to all players at Level 80. These include Worldsoul Memory event, Awakening the Machine, Theater Troupe, and Spreading the Light.
• 8 New Dungeons — Complete Normal Difficulty and Follower Dungeons as you battle it out to Level 80!
• Earthen Allied Race — Upon completing the level-up campaign and a few side quests, you can unlock the new Allied Race in the War Within! Keep in mind you can unlock them fully only after September 3.
• Renown:New Renown Factions — Increase your Renown with four new major factions.

In addition to the features mentioned above, the following content will become available at global launch:

• Heroic Dungeon difficulty will become available.
• Honor Vendorlist and currency conversion of Dragonflight Honor/Conquest.

All classes received additional changes in the War Within patch and at Level 71, you gain access to the Hero Talent system when you unlock your very first talent.

Delves are bite-sized scenarios that you can complete either solo or with a group of friends. Find out more about them in our dedicated guide.

Four world events are available to players in the War Within upon hitting maximum level. You will find out more in our World Events guide.

The following new dungeons are available in the War Within! In the Early Access, you can only complete Normal Difficulty and Follower Dungeons for item level 554 loot. Heroic Difficulty will be available when the game launches globally on August 26.

Blizzard has announced that the Earthen Allied Race will be unlockable on live servers starting on September 3, 2024.

After reaching the maximum level in the upcoming expansion, you will be able to begin the journey to unlock the Earthen Allied Race. Once you hit Level 50, you'll also earn the new Heritage armor sets!

The War Within expansion comes with four main Renown factions. Renown is account-wide and you can earn a variety of rewards during your journey to max-level and beyond!
