Dragon Glyphs Guide for World of Warcraft: Dragonflight: All Locations with TomTom Waypoints (10.1)

Last updated on May 03, 2023 at 14:41 by Stan 13 comments

Dragon Glyphs are glowing objects scattered across the Dragon Isles that you must collect to gain talent points and unlock Dragonriding talents in the Dragonflight expansion. This guide contains maps and in-game coordinates for all the glyphs and addon recommendations.

1.

Introduction

Dragon Glyphs are glowing circular objects scattered across the Dragon Isles. You must fly through them to collect them, and they are spent to unlock Dragonriding talents.

We recommend you gather them as soon as you unlock Dragonriding because they vastly improve your leveling experience. Once unlocked, you will never need to bother with them again because they are account-wide.

Unlocking all 64 Dragon Glyphs takes anywhere between 20-35 minutes, based on how quickly you master the Dragonriding basics.

We have a dedicated guide available for Dragonriding that we recommend visiting before you start gathering Glyphs.

2.

Zone Order

Some glyphs will be easier to collect with more Vigor and better Vigor regeneration. Therefore, we recommend collecting them in the following zone order:

  1. The Forbidden Reach (new in Patch 10.0.7);
  2. The Waking Shores;
  3. Ohn'ahran Plains;
  4. The Azure Span;
  5. Thaldraszus;
  6. Zaralek Cavern.

How to Quickly Get All Dragon Glyphs in Dragonflight

To make Glyph collecting as fast and efficient as possible, we recommend you two gathering methods with the help of addons.

The first method uses the AzerPUG's Dragonrider addon, which displays Glyph locations on the map when enabled with no input required other than downloading the addon. Maps found in this guide were created using the addon.

  • AzerPUG's Dragonrider — Makes the Vigor bar visible while dismounted and highlights Glyph locations on the map.

The second method requires TomTom and Macro Toolkit to work. TomTom is important because it displays Glyph locations and waypoints on your map.

Macro Toolkit is also vital because the default Macro length in the game is limited. With the help of Macro Toolkit, you can copy the code found in this guide and paste all Dragon Glyph locations as 2 macros instead of 4.

  • TomTom — Allows you to set waypoints via a command.
  • Macro Toolkit — The addon lets you paste all coordinates as two macros.

Download both addons from Curseforge. Locate your World of Warcraft installation. Unzip the folder and place it in your World of Warcraft/_retail_/Interface/Addons/ directory. Make sure the addon is enabled on the login screen. In the bottom left corner of the login screen, you will see an Addons tab that you must open and ensure the addons are enabled. Select the "Load out of date Addons." option if needed.

Once both addons are operational and you log in to the game, type /m and click the Toolkit button.

Create a new Macro, click the Extend button to ensure you can use 1024 characters for the macro. Then, paste the following macros, one by one, one and hit Save.
