Loamm Niffen Reputation Guide (10.1.5)

You can farm 20 Renown levels with the faction; each level requires 2,500 reputation. Through Inscription, you can get a Contract: Loamm Niffen that allows you to gain 15 reputation with the faction every time you complete a world quest.

Increasing your Renown with the Loamm Niffen grants access to various rewards, including character titles, mounts, battle pets, Profession recipes, Dragonriding Manuscripts, and more. The vast majority of Renown rewards are account-wide except for gear pieces.

• Loamm Niffen (Renown 1) — You have begun to gain renown with the Loamm Niffen.
• Hidden Treasures I (Renown 2) — You may now sniff treasures hidden within Zaralek Cavern.
• Loamm Bartering (Renown 3) — Seek out Kayann in Valdrakken to begin bartering. Speak to Ponzo im Loamm to trade.
• Drake's Shadowflame Crest (Renown 4) — Speak to Mimuup in Loamm to receive a Drake's Shadowflame Crest. This can be used to increase an item's level up to 424.
• Flightstones (Renown 4) — Speak to Mimuup in Loamm to receive Flightstones. These can be used to empower equipment at Cuzolth in Loamm and other item upgrade vendors.
• Drakewatcher Manuscripts I (Renown 5) — You may acquire 3 new Drakewatcher Manuscripts for your Winding Slitherdrake (Grand Chin Thorn, Large Finned Crest, Tan Horns) from Harlowe Marl in Loamm.
• Niffen Diggin' Mitts (Renown 6) — Speak to Mimuup in Loamm to receive Niffen Diggin' Mitts. These can be used to dig your way back to Loamm from anywhere in Zaralek Cavern.
• Flightstones (Renown 6) — Speak to Mimuup in Loamm to receive Flightstones. These can be used to empower equipment at Cuzolth in Loamm and other item upgrade vendors.
• Snail Racing (Renown 7) — You may participate in Snail Racing activities in Loamm.
• Niffen Equipment (Renown 8) — You may acquire useful chest armor (item level 405) from Harlowe Marl in Loamm. This includes Mycelial Fabric Tunic (Cloth), Scent-Masking Vest (Leather), Sulfuric Crystal Breastmail (Mail), and Speleothemic Cataphract (Plate).
• Myrrit Affinity (Renown 9) — Myrrit will now help you find additional items while Sniffenseeking.
• Scent of a Worthy Ally I (Renown 10) — Your standing with the Loamm Niffen allows your other characters on this account to gain 100% additional reputation with the Loamm Niffen while their renown is below rank 10.
• Loamm Niffen Tabard (Renown 10) — Speak to Mimuup in Loamm to receive the Loamm Niffen Tabard.
• Hidden Treasures II (Renown 11) — You may now sniff bigger treasures hidden in Zaralek Cavern.
• Sniffin' Salts (Renown 11) — You may acquire Sniffin' Salts from Harlowe Marl in Loamm.
• Loamm Bartering Bettered (Renown 12) — You may now find Barter Boulders, which are more effective for bartering.
• Crafter's Knowledge (Renown 12) — You may purchase crafting knowledge from Harlowe Marl in Loamm.
• Drakewatcher Manuscripts II (Renown 13) — You may acquire 3 new Drakewatcher Manuscripts for your Winding Slitherdrake (Brown Hair, Curved Horns, Long Jaw Horns) from Harlowe Marl in Loamm.
• Niffen Equipment II (Renown 14) — You may acquire useful combat boots (item level 415) from Harlowe Marl in Loamm. These are Mycelial Fabric Sandals for Cloth wearers, Scent-Masking Moccasins for Leather wearers, Sulfuric Crystal Boots for Mail wearers and Speleothemic Footguards for Plate wearers./li>
• Meet the Beetles! (Renown 15) — You may acquire Paulie and Rango battle pets from Harlowe Marl in Loamm.
• Black Dragon Cosmetics (Renown 16) — You may acquire the Ensemble: Ornate Black Dragon Labwear from Harlowe Marl in Loamm.
• Drakewatcher Manuscripts III (Renown 16) — You may acquire 3 new Drakewatcher Manuscripts for your Winding Slitherdrake (Large Spiked Nose, Hairy Tail, Hairy Throat) from Harlowe Marl in Loamm.
• Bartering Boulder Gift (Renown 17) — Speak to Ponzo in Loamm to receive 10 Barter Boulders.
• Flightstones (Renown 17) — Speak to Mimuup in Loamm to receive Flightstones. These can be used to empower equipment at Cuzolth in Loamm and other item upgrade vendors.
• Morsel Sniffer (Renown 18) — You may acquire the Morsel Sniffer mount from Harlowe Marl in Loamm.
• Niffen Tools — You may acquire cosmetic nifen tools from Harlowe Marl in Loamm.
• Drake Helms (Renown 19) — Speak to Harlowe Marl in Loamm to unlock cosmetic helms for your Dragonriding mounts.
• Drakewatcher Manuscripts IV (Renown 19) — You may acquire a Drakewatcher Manuscript for your Highland Drake (Ornate Helm) from Harlowe Marl in Loamm.
• Sniffin' with the Niffen (Renown 20) — You may show off your relationship with the Loamm Niffen with the title "Smelly".
• A Heroic Reward (Renown 20) — Speak to Mimuup in Loamm to receive an Enchanted Wyrm's Shadowflame Crest. This can be used as an optional reagent to increase a crafted item's level up to 437.
• Scent of a Worthy Ally II (Renown 20) — Your standing with the Loamm Niffen allows your other characters on this account to gain 100% additional reputation with the Loamm Niffen while their renown is below rank 20, and 200% if below rank 10.
• Bartering Boulders (Renown 20) — You may now purchase Barter Boulders from Harlowe Marl in Loamm.

The faction has three types of activities tied to it — sniffenseeking, bartering, and snail racing.

Sniffenseeking is a new activity you can complete for Zaralek Glowspores, 250 reputation insignias and other items, like Ouroboros Tablet and Designs of Flesh in Patch 10.1.

You must first get your hand on a dig map, for instance, Bartered Dig Map from Ponzo. Then, you can talk to Myrrit to begin a dig.

Sniffenseeking revolves around solving puzzles with Myrrit and obtaining a key ( Fierce Key) to claim rewards ( Buried Niffen Collection).

While in a dive, you must pick up Myrrit to get access to special abilities required to solve puzzles:

• Burrow — Follow Myrrit underground, becoming hidden from enemies and able to dig up treasures. (Instant, 1 minute cooldown)
• Sniff — Have Myrrit sniff for unique smells. (Instant, 3 second cooldown)
• Put Down Myrrit — Have Myrrit wait at a location (Instant, 1 second cooldown)
• Mole Friend — Have Myrrit follow you. (Instant, 1 second cooldown)
• Escape — Leave the dive. This will reset any progress if you have not completed the dive.(Instant)

Here is an example room from a Sniffenseeking cave.

The Sniffenseeking meta-achievement is called A Niffens Best Buddy and grants the Sniffenseeker title. It has the following requirements:

• Sniffen Sage — Sniff out all possible special items while exploring caves alongside a niffen companion.
• Can You Dig It? — Complete 50 Sniffenseek digs alongside a niffen companion.
• HesSss All Mine (account-wide progress) — Acquire the Salverun battle pet, which you get by combining various items found during your digs into an Ouroboros Tablet.

Ponzo is a Barterer who offers various items for Barter Bricks and Barter Boulders. You can find him in Loamm at 58.04 53.86.

You can buy the following items from him:

• Bartered Dig Map for 3 Barter Bricks. Used for Sniffenseeking.
• Winding Slitherdrake: Hairy Brow costs 55 Barter Bricks.
• Winding Slitherdrake: Cluster Chin Horn costs 55 Barter Bricks.
• Winding Slitherdrake: Curled Nose — Costs 55 Barter Bricks.
• Profession Notes (E.g. Bartered Enchanting Notes) for 35 Barter Bricks. Used to increase your Profession Knowledge by 5.
• Profession Journals (E.g. Bartered Enchanting Journal) for 90 Barter Bricks. Used to increase your Profession Knowledge by 10.
• Ponzo's Cream for 25 Barter Bricks.
• Glimmerogg Timeshare Voucher costs 80 Barter Bricks.

The two remaining items available from Ponzo are a battle pet and a mount.

Thimblerig costs 85 Barter Bricks.

Boulder Hauler Reins costs 170 Barter Bricks.

Snail Racing activities become available in Glimmerogg at Renown 7. In fact, there is a mini-reputation tied to it

Briggul near the snail racing track is member of the Glimmerogg Racer faction that has 5 ranks and you must gather 2800 reputation to max it out:

• Aspirational — Between 0-700 reputation.
• Amateur — Between 700-1400 reputation.
• Competent — Between 1400-2100 reputation.
• Skilled — 2100-2800 reputation.
• Professional — 2800 reputation and above.

He offers a daily quest that grants 100 reputation with the Glimmerogg Racer faction.

You can get additional reputation by showcasing to him your Level 25 snail pet collection.

At Professional reputation standing with the Glimmerogg Racer faction, you will get the Big Slick in the City mount.

You will receive reputation by completing quests and faction-specific events in Zaralek Cavern.

• World Quests will give 75 reputation with the faction. Epic World Quests reward 150. World Quests have a chance to reward Bonus 100-150 Reputation with the faction.
• Defeating rares gives 50 reputation each.
• The weekly quest A Worthy Ally: Loamm Niffen rewards 500 reputation.
• The weekly Researchers Under Fire event gives 250 reputation for the first completion. The event can be completed multiple times, but the amount of reputation you get decreases.
• Completing Sniffenseeking gives you 250 reputation with the faction.
• Treasure chests in Zaralek Cavern contain 25 reputation.
• Completing events marked with a horn icon on the map provides 25-50 reputation.
• At Renown 3, you can start completing Profession Quests offered by Kayann in Valdrakken (36.60 62.44) that grant 75 reputation each.

At Renown 10, your alts will gain 100% more reputation with the faction while their renown is below rank 10. At Renown 20, alts will get 200% more reputation below Renown 10 and 10% below Renown 20.

The faction's quartermaster is Harlowe Marl found at Loamm. The exact coordinates are 56.47 55.68.

You can buy an Item level 405 Veteran (2/8) chest for 225 Dragon Isles Supplies at Renown Rank 8 and an Item Level 415 Champion (1/8) feet for 225 Dragon Isles Supplies at Renown Rank 14.

The vendor sells items that increase your Profession Knowledge by 10 ( Niffen Notebook of Enchanting Knowledge, Niffen Notebook of Jewelcrafting Knowledge, and similar). Every item costs 300 Dragon Isles Supplies. You must reach Renown Rank 12 to be able to buy it.

When you reach Renown 20, you will be able to buy Barter Boulders directly from Harlowe Marl for 100 Dragon Isles Supplies. Boulders can be used for bartering with Ponzo (see above for more information).

The following section contains cosmetics available from the Loamm Niffen faction.

Loamm Niffen Tabard becomes available at Renown Rank 10.

The Sniffin' Salts is a toy purchasable at Renown 11 for 200 Dragon Isles Supplies.

Paulie and Rango are battle pets that you can buy at Renown 15 for 250 Dragon Isles Supplies each.

Ensemble: Ornate Black Dragon Labwear is an armor set purchasable at Renown Rank 16 for 250 supplies.

Rock Breaking Digger is a cosmetic One-Hand Axe that costs 200 Dragon Isles Supplies.

Decorative Niffen Sword is a cosmetic One-Hand Sword (showel) that costs 200 Dragon Isles Supplies.

At Renown 20 with the faction, you will start accruing additional reputation. For every 7,500 points, you will receive a Brimming Loamm Niffen Supply Satchel, which contains 1,000 gold and Dragon Isles Supplies.
