Liberation of Undermine Raid Builds, Tips, and Tricks for Unholy Death Knight
Tips for Vexie Fullthrottle for Unholy Death Knight
Defensive Tips
- You can use
Anti-Magic Shell before running through
Oil Slick to completely ignore the damage.
Cooldown Usage
- Use
Death and Decay to increase your cleave when the adds spawn.
- The boss takes 100% increased damage in the intermission, make sure that you have all your cooldowns available for this part. Your raid will generally reach this point at the 1.5min mark, making everything align nicely if you use all CDs on pull. If it is later, hold your Cooldowns for it!
Mechanical Tips
- Use
Death Grip and
Abomination Limb to help group up the adds in the intermission.
Best Talents
We recommend San'layn talents here due to the low target
cleave. You can opt for a
Rider of the Apocalypse build with
Menacing Magus as well if you prefer that playstyle.
Be sure to make use of the 'Export Talents' button to import the build directly into your game!
Tips for Cauldron of Carnage for Unholy Death Knight
Defensive Tips
- Use
Anti-Magic Zone during
Colossal Clash to help mitigate the damage dealt to the raid.
- You can use
Icebound Fortitude if you get stunned by
Static Charge.
Cooldown Usage
- Even if you gain good two-target cleave during
Colossal Clash, it is better to just send your cooldowns as they come up.
Mechanical Tips
- Use
Chains of Ice,
Death Grip and
Blinding Sleet to help control the
Voltaic Image adds.
Best Talents
Due to the stacked 2-target cleave during the Colossal Clash, we recommend
San'layn for its high
Death Coil cleave damage.
Be sure to make use of the 'Export Talents' button to import the build directly into your game!
Tips for Rik Reverb for Unholy Death Knight

Mechanical Tips
- Use
Death's Advance to immune the conveyor belt push effect.
- Position yourself to get knocked to the location that the boss jumps to for the first big knockback.
Best Talents
A pure Single Target fight with relatively large amount of movement. This favours Rider of the Apocalypse
which is more flexible when it comes to downtime.

Tips for One-Armed Bandit for Unholy Death Knight

Mechanical Tips
- You can use
Icebound Fortitude if you get stunned by the Coin. This is great since it means that you can aim for the
High Roller! buff more aggressively.

The fight has sections with 2-target cleave, making the Death Coil from
San'layn
very valuable. We therefore recommend it for this fight.

Tips for Mug'Zee for Unholy Death Knight

General Offensive Cooldown Usage
Unholy Death Knight has a few cooldowns to think about using optimally on the fights in Liberation of Undermine:
Dark Transformation +
Apocalypse - Our 45 seconds cooldowns.
Unholy Assault +
Raise Abomination - Our 1.5 minute cooldowns.
Make sure to use your cooldowns on cooldown as much as possible unless certain adds or DPS phases allow you to get more value out of them. This is typically something you will want to discuss with your Raidleader or the rest of the raid in static groups, while PUGs are more freeform than that. You will use your CDs as soon as they come up in the majority of cases.
General Defensive Cooldown Usage
Anti-Magic Shell,
Icebound Fortitude and
Lichborne
are your main personal defensive spells. Use these when you are targeted by
mechanics, or when the raid is taking damage to help mitigate it.
Anti-Magic Zone
is our raid defensive cooldown that you should coordinate with your group for when to use it.
Finally,
Death Grip can be used as a defensive since the boss takes less damage
when you grip it through
Subduing Grasp.
