Twilight Crypts Delve Guide: Location, Boss Strategies, and Trash

Last Updated: Aug 6, 2026 - 5:14 AM (12d ago)

This page will cover everything you need to know about the Twilight Crypts Delve in the Midnight Expansion, including strategies for events, trash, and bosses.

1.

Getting into the Twilight Crypts

Twilight Crypts is a Delve located on the Southwest side of Zul'Aman, by the Broken Throne area.

This guide will provide all the specifics you need to complete the Twilight Crypts Delve across all tiers of difficulty (from Tier 1 to Tier 11). We will cover Delve events, optional bosses (rares), as well as end of the dungeon boss and their abilities. If you would like to learn about the rest of the Delves in Midnight, please see our overviews linked below.

Storylines and Trash Mobs in the Shadow Enclave

3.1.

Event #1: Loosed Loa

In this event, you must drink an Evasive Elixir Icon Evasive Elixir to explore the Delve, kill Skeleton Charmers, and destroy Vilebranch totems.

The main use of the Evasive Elixir is to avoid Mot'amra, the Loa of Pestilence. He walks around the Delve and deals heavy damage and knockback if you cross his path. Thankfully you can easily track and avoid Mot'amra throughout the Delve.

3.2.

Event #2: Party Crasher

In this event you will be helping an injured Explorer's League member delve further into the crypts, while avoiding dozens of bear traps, killing Twilight's Blade summoners, and pressing levers to open new levels of the Delve.

3.3.

Event #3: Trapped!

In this event you must traverse the Twilight Crypts while saving hostages from the Twilight's Blade. Find your way through the maze while looking for levers, and be mindful of traps!

3.4.

Event #4: Why'd It Have to Be Snakes?

In this delve variant, we're joining Harrison Jones investigate the crypts in search of snake relics - only the Delve is infested with snakes, and of course, the Children of Ula'tek. Stepping on snakes is part of the objective, but be careful, as they do explode when stepped on.

Like all other Ula'tek event variants, you can loot Fungal Pharmacon Icon Fungal Pharmacon to help clear out patches of poison on the floor.

Blademaster Darza Delve Boss Guide

Blademaster Darza is the boss of the Loosed Loa, Party Crasher, and Trapped! delve variants in the Twilight Crypt. She is a very straightforward Midnight delve boss, but can be a bit awkward to deal with due to the small boss room. Here is what you have to do to defeat her more easily:

  • Shade Cleave Icon Shade Cleave deals massive damage in a cone in front of her. As the cone is pretty wide, it is easier to fight close to Darza and sidestepping the cast.
  • Staying close to Darza also prevents her from using Dark Pursuit Icon Dark Pursuit, a simple gap closer that does a knockback.
  • Bask in the Twilight Icon Bask in the Twilight is Darza's most dangerous ability, dealing massive AOE damage to the target area and leaving a void zone on the ground. Darza deals 30% increased damage if she stands within the void zone, so move her out of it once the cast is over.

Replicating Venomborne Delve Boss Guide

Replicating Venomborne is the final boss of the Why'd It Have to Be Snakes? variant of Twilight Crypts. This boss can become a bit tricky if not dealt with correctly:

  • Venom Splash Icon Venom Splash leaves a pool of poison behind that deals significant AOE damage and slows movement speed, easily dodgeable.
  • Hydra Strike Icon Hydra Strike deals Nature damage and leaves a DOT. Valeera can heal through this, but be careful as this effect does stack.
  • Serpentogenesis Icon Serpentogenesis is the Venomborne's most dangerous ability, where he spawns a bunch of Lesser Venomborne that attack you. The adds are not very dangerous on their own, but if left alive by the time the Venomborne casts another Serpentogenesis, they will heal the Venomborne for a percentage of his maximum health. Nuke them as they spawn and this is a non issue.
