Devastation Evoker DPS Spell List and Glossary — Dragonflight 10.2.6

This page describes the essential spells and passives all Devastation Evokers have at Level 60. It goes over the main aspects of the specialization to help understand the remainder of the guide. It can also be helpful as a quick reference.

If you are leveling a Devastation Evoker, you likely will not have access to all of the abilities and passives listed here. However, our leveling guide can help specify when you will unlock everything.

Evokers utilize a new Resource called Essence, which regenerates over time at a rate of 1 Essence every 5 seconds.

You spend Essence on Disintegrate and Pyre to deal single-target or AoE damage, respectively.

Evokers also have Mana, primarily used for your healing abilities. As Devastation, you will not need to worry about your Mana except when casting many healing spells.

Ability	Abbreviation	Description/Effect
Fire Breath	FB	Fire Breath is one of your new Empowered Spells. This conal attack deals damage to everything in the cone. It leaves a damage-over-time effect on every enemy hit. With the Burnout talent, this will also have a chance to make your next Living Flame cast instant.
Deep Breath	DB	Deep Breath is a very thematic ability for Evoker. You pick your destination, and you will fly from your current position to there, damaging everything in your path. The damage from Deep Breath is always fully buffed by your Mastery.
Disintegrate	Dis/Disin/Disint	Disintegrate costs 3 Essence. It is a single-target damaging ability that deals a very high amount of damage and is channeled on your target.
Blessing of the Bronze	BotB	Blessing of the Bronze is your raid buff ability. This will lower the cooldown of a pre-determined mobility cooldown of all players. The list of abilities it affects is detailed in a separate section below.
Living Flame	LF	Living Flame is one of your filler spells as an Evoker. It can heal if cast on a Friendly Player or deal damage if it is cast on an Enemy. Living Flame gains additional interactions with: Engulfing Blaze / Ruby Embers, Leaping Flames, and Ancient Flame.
Azure Strike	AS/AzS	Azure Strike is your other filler spell as an Evoker. This is an instant-cast spell that cleaves onto 2 targets. The target count of Azure Strike can be increased with the Protracted Talons talent.
Return	-	Return is your resurrection ability.
Hover	-	Hover dashes you forward in the direction you are facing, and you will hover above the ground (as the name implies). While you are hovering, you can cast while moving!
Emerald Blossom	-	Emerald Blossom is an AoE heal; this is placed around your target on the floor, and after 2 seconds, it will explode and heal up to 3 players. This is increased to 5 targets with the Bountiful Bloom talent.

Blessing of the Bronze reduces the cooldown of a pre-determined ability per class. The abilities it affects are:

3. Druid: Dash or Tiger Dash
4. Evoker: Hover
5. Hunter: Aspect of the Cheetah
6. Mage: Blink or Shimmer

9. Priest: Leap of Faith
10. Rogue: Sprint
11. Shaman: Spiritwalker's Grace or Spirit Walk
12. Warlock: Demonic Circle: Teleport

Tempered Scales	-	Tempered Scales increases your Armor by 75%.
Mastery: Giantkiller	-	Mastery: Giantkiller increases the damage of your spells based on the current health of your target. The higher the target's health, the more benefit from Mastery: Giantkiller, you get. You will also get the full benefit from Mastery: Giantkiller during Dragonrage when the Tyranny talent is picked.
Awakened	-	Awakened is the racial passive for Dracthyr. This increases your Mastery by 2.5%.
Visage	-	Visage has a passive effect which increases out-of-combat health regeneration for your party.

Ability	Abbreviation	Description/Effect
Landslide	-	Landslide causes you to leap in the air and root enemies in a line for 30 seconds. Damage can break this effect.
Obsidian Scales	Scale	Obsidian Scales reduces your damage taken by 30% for 12 seconds. 1.5-minute cooldown. This is one of the few defensive abilities available to Evoker.
Expunge	-	Expunge allows you to cleanse Poison effects.
Pyre	-	Pyre costs 3 Essence. It is an AoE damaging ability that damages your target and all nearby targets.
Verdant Embrace	VE/Verdant	Verdant Embrace is your strongest single-target heal, but it also causes you to leap to the ally you use it on. It is also castable on yourself.
Eternity Surge	ES/Esurge	Eternity Surge is one of your new Empowered Spells. This deals a high amount of damage to the target. Each Rank increases the number of enemies hit.
Quell	Interrupt	Quell is your interrupt ability.
Cauterizing Flame	Caut	Cauterizing Flame is another dispel available but has a 1-minute cooldown and allows you to dispel Bleed, Poison, Curse, and Disease effects.
Dragonrage	DR/Drage	Dragonrage is your main offensive cooldown. This has a 2-minute cooldown fires up to 3 Pyre when used and increases your chance to trigger Essence Burst by 100% for 18 seconds.

Permeating Chill	-	Permeating Chill causes any of your blue spells to slow your target's movement speed by 50% for 3 seconds.
Natural Convergence	-	Natural Convergence causes disintegrate to channel 20% faster.
Ruby Essence Burst	EB/Burst	Ruby Essence Burst gives your Living Flame a 20% chance to trigger Essence Burst.
Azure Essence Burst	EB/Burst	Azure Essence Burst gives your Azure Strike a 15% chance to trigger Essence Burst.
Forger of Mountains	-	Forger of Mountains reduces the cooldown of Landslide by 30 seconds and makes it withstand more damage.
Innate Magic	-	Innate Magic makes your Essence regenerate 5% faster per rank.
Obsidian Bulwark	-	Obsidian Bulwark adds an additional charge of Obsidian Scales.
Enkindled	-	Enkindled causes Living Flame to deal 3% more damage and healing per rank.
Scarlet Adaptation	Scarlet	Scarlet Adaptation causes 20% of effective healing to be stored as damage that will be consumed to deal more damage up to a cap.
Dense Energy	-	Dense Energy reduces the cost of Pyre by 1 Essence.
Imposing Presence	-	Imposing Presence reduces the cooldown of Quell by 20 seconds.
Inner Radiance	-	Inner Radiance gives Living Flame and Emerald Blossom 30% more healing on yourself.
Recall	-	Recall allows you to press Deep Breath again to travel back to your original location where you activated the ability.
Heavy Wingbeats	-	Heavy Wingbeats reduces the cooldown of Wing Buffet by 45 seconds.
Clobbering Sweep	-	Clobbering Sweep reduces the cooldown of Tail Swipe by 45 seconds.
Tailwind	-	Tailwind causes Hover to increase movement speed by 70% for the first 4 seconds of the ability.
Volatility	Vola	Volatility gives Pyre a 15% chance per rank to explode again on a nearby enemy.
Power Nexus	Nexus	Power Nexus increases your maximum Essence to 6.
Lay Waste	-	Lay Waste increases the damage of Deep Breath by 20%.
Arcane Intensity	-	Arcane Intensity increases the damage of Disintegrate by 8% per rank.

Tip the Scales	TTS	Tip the Scales causes your next empower ability to cast instantly and at max rank.
Firestorm	FS	Firestorm is a targeted AoE ability. This has a 20-second cooldown and deals damage to all targets in the area for 12 seconds.
Sleep Walk	-	Sleep Walk disorients an enemy and causes them to move towards you. Damage has a chance to break this effect.
Source of Magic	SoM	Source of Magic is an ability you can apply to another healer, causing them to gain Mana anytime you cast an empowered ability.
Shattering Star	SS/Star/Shatter	Shattering Star has a 15-second cooldown, deals damage to your target and causes them to take 20% more damage from you for 4 seconds.

Ancient Flame	-	Ancient Flame causes your next Living Flame to have a 40% shorter cast time after you cast Emerald Blossom or Verdant Embrace.
Instinctive Arcana	-	Instinctive Arcana increases magic damage done by 2% per rank.
Attuned to the Dream	-	Attuned to the Dream increases your healing done and received by 2% per rank.
Ruby Embers	RB/Ruby	Ruby Embers adds a DoT to Living Flame which stacks up to 3 times.
Engulfing Blaze	EnB/Engulf	Engulfing Blaze makes Living Flame deal 25% more damage and healing but increases the cast time by 0.3 seconds.
Animosity	-	Animosity makes your Empowered Spells ( Fire Breath and Eternity Surge) increase the duration of Dragonrage by 4 seconds per cast.
Essence Attunement	-	Essence Attunement allows Essence Burst to stack up to 2 times.
Regenerative Magic	-	Draconic Legacy Your Leech is increased by 3%.
Inherent Resistance	Tempered	Tempered Scales Reduces your magic damage taken by 2% per rank.
Draconic Legacy Increases your Stamina by 6% s	-	Extended Flight Your Hover lasts 2 seconds longer per rank.
Heat Wave	HW	Heat Wave increases the damage of Fire Breath by 20% per rank.
Honed Aggression	HA	Honed Aggression increases the damage of Azure Strike and Living Flame by 5% per rank.
Eternity's Span	ES	Eternity's Span doubles the amount of targets hit by your Eternity Surge and Shattering Star.
Eye of Infinity	EoI	Eye of Infinity will make Eternity Surge deal 15% more damage against your primary target(this also includes casts triggered by Scintillation).
Event Horizon	EH	Event Horizon reduces the cooldown of Eternity Surge by 3 seconds.
Blast Furnace	Blast	Blast Furnace increases Fire Breath's DoT by 4 seconds.
Exuberance	-	Exuberance gives you 10% increased movement speed when your health is above 75%.
Walloping Blow	-	Walloping Blow causes Wing Buffet/ Tail Swipe to knock enemies further away as well as dazing them and reducing their movement speed by 70% for 4 seconds.
Panacea	-	Panacea causes Emerald Blossom to instantly heal you when cast.
Catalyze	Cata	Catalyze increases the tick rate of Fire Breath by 100% whilst you are channeling Disintegrate to that target.
Tyranny	-	Tyranny attaches an additional effect to Deep Breath and Dragonrage where they will both gain full benefit from Mastery: Giantkiller.
Charged Blast	CB	Charged Blast increases the damage of your next Pyre by 5% per stack, stacking up to 20 times when you deal Blue damage ( Azure Strike, Eternity Surge, Disintegrate, Shattering Star, Unravel).

Unravel	-	Unravel allows you to deal a very high amount of damage to an enemy given that they have a shield effect present.
Oppressing Roar	Roar	Oppressing Roar increases the duration of crowd control effects on enemies by 50% for the next 10 seconds.
Rescue	-	Rescue allows you to pick up any ally and move them to your cursor location.
Renewing Blaze	-	Renewing Blaze is a defensive cooldown that allows you to heal back damage taken in the next 8 seconds.
Time Spiral	Spiral	Time Spiral is a 2-minute cooldown that allows your allies to cast their movement ability once again in the next 10 seconds.
Zephyr	-	Zephyr causes you and your 4 closet allies to take 20% reduced area-of-effect damage while also giving them 30% movement speed for 8 seconds.

Protracted Talons	-	Protracted Talons increases the target count of Azure Strike by 1.
Potent Mana	-	Regenerative Magic causes Source of Magic to grant the target 3% increased damage and healing.
Lush Growth	-	Lush Growth causes green spells to restore 5% more health per rank.
Raging Inferno	RI	Raging Inferno increases the radius of Firestorm by 25% and will make Pyre deal 20% more damage to enemies in the Firestorm.
Snapfire	Snap	Snapfire gives your Living Flame a 15% chance to reset the cooldown of Firestorm, make it instant cast and increases the damage of it by 100%.
Burnout	BO	Burnout will allow Fire Breath DoT ticks to have an 16% chance to make your Living Flame instant cast. This can stack up to 2 times.
Onyx Legacy	Onyx	Onyx Legacy reduces the cooldown of Deep Breath by 1 minute.
Spellweaver's Dominance	-	Spellweaver's Dominance increases the damage of your critical strikes from 200% damage to 230% damage.
Focusing Iris	-	Focusing Iris increases the damage taken effect of Shattering Star by 2 seconds.
Arcane Vigor	-	Arcane Vigor will make Shattering Star trigger Essence Burst.
Leaping Flames	Leaping	Leaping Flames gives Fire Breath an extra effect. Each empowered rank of Fire Breath makes your next Living Flame hit additional targets depending on the rank.
Overawe	-	Overawe causes Oppressing Roar to remove 1 Enrage effect from each enemy hit and have its cooldown reduced by 20 seconds for each Enrage effect that it dispelled.
Aerial Mastery	-	Aerial Mastery gives you an extra charge of Hover.
Twin Guardian	TwinG	Twin Guardian adds an absorbing shield for 30% of your max health for 5 seconds to both players after you use Rescue.
Foci of Life	Foci	Foci of Life will now heal over 4 seconds instead of 8 seconds.
Fire Within	-	Fire Within reduces the cooldown of Renewing Blaze by 30 seconds.
Imminent Destruction	ID	Imminent Destruction reduces the Essence cost of Disintegrate and Pyre by 1 for 10 seconds after you cast Deep Breath.
Font of Magic	Font	Font of Magic increases the maximum empower level of your spells by 1, and they reach the maximum empower level 20% faster.
Titanic Wrath	TW	Titanic Wrath increases the damage of your Essence Burst spells by 7.5% per rank.
Hoarded Power	Hoarded	Hoarded Power makes Essence Burst have a 20% chance to not be consumed.
Power Swell	-	Power Swell increases your Essence regeneration rate by 100% for 4 seconds after using an Empowered Spell ( Fire Breath and Eternity Surge).
Terror of the Skies	TotS	Terror of the Skies causes Deep Breath to stun enemies for 3 seconds.
Feed the Flames	FTF	Feed the Flames will cause every 10th Pyre to trigger a Firestorm.Pyre casts triggered by Volatility do not count towards the 10 Pyre count.
Everburning Flame	EbF	Everburning Flame allows your Red Spells ( Living Flame, Pyre, Firestorm) to extend the duration of the Fire Breath DoT effect by 1 second per damaging event. Note: the DoT from Ruby Embers does not extend the duration; only Living Flame will.
Causality	-	Causality will cause Pyre to reduce the cooldown of your empowered spells by 0.4 seconds per target hit (capped at 2 seconds), and Disintegrate to lower the cooldown of your empowered spells by 0.5 seconds each time it deals damage.
Scintillation	Scint	Scintillation will add a new effect to Disintegrate. Your Disintegrate casts have a 15% chance each time it deals damage to launch a level 1 Eternity Surge at the target at 50% power.
Iridescence	Irid	Iridescence increases the damage of your next two spells of the same color after using an Empowered Spell ( Fire Breath and Eternity Surge).
